Melanie Bragg is a seasoned attorney, a prolific author, a compelling public speaker, writing coach, mentor, and leader.

Melanie brings her vast experience in the inner workings of the legal system to her books, especially when it involves the members of our culture that do not typically have a voice--the children, the elderly, and the mentally disadvantaged. She explores issues that are relevant to the social culture of today's world.

She is the author of Crosstown Park, her debut novel published by Koehler Books, an imprint of Morgan James Publishing. Crosstown Park is the first Alex Stockton thriller and the book has a social conscience and a spiritual component which sets it apart from your typical thriller.

Bragg is also the author of Defining Moments: Insights into the Lawyer's Soul published by the American Bar Association flagship division. Defining Moments is a compilation of leadership stories from interviews of lawyers from all over the country. Bragg trained under Jack Canfield, the co-creator of the NY Times #1 Bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul Series. Canfield has endorsed Crosstown Park and mentored her on Defining Moments.

Bragg is also the author of HIPAA for the General Practitioner, published by the American Bar Association and writes a column for the GP Solo eReport on Defining Moments. She wrote a chapter in a book titled How to Capture and Keep Clients published by the American Bar Association titled Effortless Marketing: Putting Your Unique Qualities to Work, which has served as the foundation for her keynote trainings and speeches to a variety of audiences. She also publishes articles on a variety of topics.

A native Texan, Melanie is devoted to her craft, writes daily, and finds joy in sharing her experiences with other attorneys, writers, professional groups, youth and anyone else seeking guidance or mentorship. Melanie is a frequent public speaker on the subjects of motivation and marketing and she brings her own personal blend of old-fashioned school teacher, cheerleader, and preacher to the party.

When she's not writing, Melanie devotes her time to her work as 2018-2019 Chair of the ABA Solo, Small Firm, and General Practice Division. She volunteers whenever possible, and is always on the lookout for positive ways to use her time and energy.

She brings an enthusiastic, motivating and energetic spirit to everything she touches. She loves movies and anything involving a good story.
