Hopson's The Storm Below is another entertaining, well-written entry in his on-going fantasy series, Vargrom. It's a very short tale, a trifle, an extremely lightweight chapter in the on-going Vargrom saga (hence the only reason the tale earned four instead of five stars). But who cares? Hopson's world-building here, creating characters that are believable and likable (for dwarves and gnomes, that is) and sustaining his fantastical world with ease. Start with Hopson's longer entries in the Vargrom series, then make your way to The Storm Below.

very short

What a strange ending! Really good writing, and I loved the characters, but it was too short a story for me!
