From USA Today bestselling author Jillian Dodd comes the tenth book in the addictive Keatyn Chronicles series. Discover a breathless fairy-tale romance with swoon-worthy characters set in a glittering celebrity world. Fans of reality TV will devour this pulse-pounding, sexy Hollywood drama.

Follow the lives and loves of those who work at Captive Films:

Riley Johnson — Captive Films’ CEO and millionaire playboy is hot, privileged, and seriously single. He’s got it all—a brand new jet, exotic cars, a luxury penthouse, and a different aspiring actress (or two) in his bed every night. His life is perfect until the only girl he ever loved walks back into it, causing him to wonder if he truly has it all.

Keatyn Douglas — Hollywood’s sweetheart and owner of Captive Films leads a chaotic, glamorous life. But running a successful film studio, writing scripts, and her own acting career leave little time for the things she dreams of, like marrying the man she loves and having babies. When drama starts at work, she may decide to give it all up for life out of the fast lane.

Dawson Johnson — The dark and dreamy marketing consultant joins Captive to escape his past. For the last two years, his sole focus has been on caring for his adorable daughters after tragedy struck their lives. He comes to Captive looking for a fresh start and, if all goes well, he might find a lot more than that in Hollywood.

Knox Daniels — Considered the sexiest man alive by a certain magazine, the sentiment is echoed by the actor’s adoring fans. While romance abounds in the roles he plays, he’s convinced he’ll never find his own happily ever after—until he meets a woman who just might change that.

Shelby Benson — The beautiful cocktail waitress and wanna-be actress struggles to make ends meet. A chance encounter with Riley Johnson is her lucky break and the golden ticket to everything she’s ever dreamed of—fame, power, money, sex, and love.

Written soap-opera style with multiple points of view, you can expect lots of drama, sex, and tabloid-worthy events.

Money is the 10th installment of the Keatyn Chronicles. These last few have taken place when our favorite characters are adults and out of the dorms of Eastbrooke. This installment, like the other two, focus on Riley, Dawson/Vanessa and Keatyn/Aiden. The only way I can think to review this is by person/couple so here we go… lets get the hard part out of the way first….

Riley

 photo E9CC3EA3-E75A-4B14-B07C-90777E021408_zpsuqf1qdwy.jpg

If you’ve ever seen a review of mine for this series, every single one of 9 books mentions my boy Riley. He’s been my favorite character since book 1. He was THE BEST. Now in this book, I was let down by my boy. I can’t even explain how disappointed I was by his actions. I hope Jillian can find some way to redeem him for me in the following books because I would love to end one of my favorite series on a high note when it comes to Riley.

Dawson & Vanessa

 photo 76FEF5EB-670A-413D-ABC3-D6C145EAC141_zpshxoagled.jpg

No one is more surprised than me about how much I love this couple. Dawson and Vanessa were never my favorite characters, but boy do I love them all grown up! Dawson with his daughters, it’s beautiful to watch. And Vanessa has so much more depth than I ever imagined she would. Their story is one I’m very interested to read more about.

Last but certainly not least…
Keatyn & Aiden

 photo A5A34FBF-F33B-40F3-BA56-FD3761EC80B2_zpscx7ubpxf.jpg

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. And it stole the show. It feels like every Keatyn and Aiden scene I have about a million highlights. Their parts of the story were absolute 5 star perfection. It couldn't have gotten any better. This is the Boots & Moon Boy I fell for from the start. I have always rooted for this couple and my heart is happy after reading this part of the book!

I love Jillian’s writing and I adore these characters. Even with my mass disappointment in Riley, I still felt this was a great addition to the KC and I’m looking forward to the final two!

If you are following this series you know each book contains different episodes and many of the original Keatyn Chronicles gang. I love these characters and love to see their grown up lives and how they evolve.

That said Riley truly broke my heart this series and made me feel so much rage I wanted to throw my Kindle and rant. This series picks up where Power left off and Riley learns that Shelby is pregnant. Honestly things really went downhill from there and I was so upset with Riley’s inability truly grow up. Some may see his actions as noble, but I felt they were selfish, immature and reckless.

We also caught up with Aiden and Keatyn and let me tell you, I still love my moon boy. The more I see Aiden and Keatyn the more I love them. I love seeing how their love has grown and adapted, how both make sacrifices for their love.

Vanessa and Dawson are falling in love, but still have have so much to learn and reveal about each other. It’s funny how a person I never loved has become one of my favorite characters. Vanessa has proven to be just as beautiful on the inside. Her struggles and pain are relatable and I truly feel for her. Dawson is finally opening up and I love his vulnerability.

Vanessa and Dawson truly stole this episode. While Riley brought me so much grief the joy I felt reading about Keatyn and Aiden’s wedding and seeing Vanessa and Dawson blossom overshadowed my frustration.

If you are a fan of this series you know this is a must read!

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Money (Keatyn Chronicles #10) by Jillian Dodd
4.5 stars!!!

“I just want love. I just want to be loved.”

For us staunch fans of the Keatyn Chronicles this is a book NOT TO BE MISSED!! You know when you have been waiting for something for soooooo long and the author never gives it to you…she makes you wait…for like what seems a million books…it is so frustrating…but Jillian Dodd delivers in this book. One of the most anticipated scenes in this series finally happens and Jillian Dodd delivered it with absolute perfection!! I had tears of happiness and because I have lived these characters for so long it actually felt like I was present. Everything just pulled these characters together, from boots to ferris wheels. It truly was the epitome of PERFECT!!

“You and I are like a promise. A wish. Proof that luck and fate bring people together. Proof that true love can survive the kiln. I promise to be patient, to continue to build a strong foundation with you, and to live a life unscripted.”

This is my favourite book of the Keatyn Chronicles books with them as “grown-ups” and it will bring a lot of KC Addicts to their knees…in a good way.

But of course, not everything is perfect and it would not be a Jillian Dodd book without a little drama and in this book the drama falls to Riley and Dawson.

“Then I can go back to being what I was when I got here. Broke. And broken.”

Riley, Riley, Riley…he has been bringing the drama to the table since he matured, it just seems to follow him around at the moment. He has his reasons but Riley can be just too stubborn at times and it is totally infuriating!!! I have to say he kind of let me down in this book…I know he has his reasons blah blah blah but I am hoping he redeems himself. He wasn’t the Riley I know and love in this book.

Dawson has really matured and he needed to do so quickly. The love that he has for his girls brings you to your knees and with him you know his choices are always with those girls at the forefront of his mind. His relationship with Vanessa has always been a bit up and down and this book is no different, however, I hope that these two have finally turned a corner. Even though at first I thought that these two were an unusual pairing, they actually work and I cannot wait to see what happens with these two going forward.

“This is all I want. Your love. Your heart. Your faithfulness.”
“That’s good…because that’s about all I have to give.”

I adore this series and as I always say, I have lived my youth vicariously through these characters and now they are now grown up I feel like a proud parent looking in. I cannot wait to see what else Jillian has in store for these characters. I just hope that one character in particular gets her just desserts…mama bear is not happy.

“And based on the gentle tone of his voice, I know he’s talking to her. And we can’t have that.”

What I enjoyed:

Keatyn and Aiden - love our couple. LOVE LOVE LOVE them and their wedding was beautiful and I cried with Keatyn when Aiden revealed the surprise and how romantic he is. One of the best book boyfriends ever, hands down, no contest.

Vanessa and Dawson - I'm liking their relationship even if it is a bit fast. Love his relationship with his daughters and how good a father he is. The Bam reintroduction looks like it could get interesting later on.

Dallas - we don't see that much of him in this series but what we do is great. Great to see him successful and happy and showing glimmers of that cheeky teen he once was.

The romantic scenes are well done and there's an addictive page-turning quality to this series that's difficult to resist. Ms Dodd sure knows how to hook the readers and keep them engaged.

It's well written and fast-paced and moves along at a consistent pace.

What I'm Middle of the Road About:

Knox and Katie - Knox has always come across as a bit of an idiot with not much between his ears so I'm not that interested in following his romance. Katie irritated me in the original series over how she mistreated Dallas so I'm not overly enamoured with her either. Can take or leave this couple.

What I'm Not Enjoying:

Riley was one of my fave characters from the original Keatyn Chronicles series but he's quickly becoming my least fave in this series. How can someone who is CEO and Chairman of such a successful business be so stupid, naive, and immature in his personal life? I'm all for angst in relationships but since the first book we have barely seen him and Ariela together and now I have to wait two more books to see them get their HEA? Nope. Can't do it. Not at that price, especially when they are relatively short reads. I'm also growing increasingly frustrated with how it's all being dragged out. Although I crave more Keatyn and Aiden, and I am anxious to see Riley and Ariela get their HEA, I can't continue because I'm so incensed over the Shelby plotline. I may come back to it in future if I see the books on sale or reduced in price but for now I'm going to put this series aside.

These books are addicting and Money might be the best yet!! These books pull you into the Captive world and you dont want to want to leave. It's like you favorite television show in book form. The way Jillian Dodd writes is unlike any other author I have ever read and I can easily say she is one of my top 5 favorite authors.

We start off right where Power left off and Shelby telling Riley she was PREGNANT!! Ahh Shelby shes a character you love to hate and in Money we get into her head and get her point of view. We also FINALLY get the wedding we have all been waiting for and it was absolutely perfect and everything you expected plus so much more. There are lots of shocks and oh nos how could she do that to us. Each book leaves you wanting more and more and I can't wait for the next installment. If you haven't read any of the Keatyn Chronicles I highly recommend reading them ASAP and if you have you are going to absolutely love Money.

Vanessa & Dawson - I cannot get enough of these two (who are quickly becoming my favorite couple!)

Keatyn & Aiden - Love them, of course!

Riley - I actually feel bad for the guy. He's in a crappy situation with the evil bitch, Shelby, while at the same time trying to figure things out with Ariela. Hopefully he'll get his head out of his ass and get his crap together.

Dawson - I love that he brings some normalcy to the group. :)

Can't wait for the next installment.

Getting back to this series so I can read the spin-off with the kids.

Still want to shake Riley. OMG, how he’s fallen out of my favorite so fast and keeps falling.

Love Keatyn and Aiden.

Dawson and Vanessa are still such a surprise and adorable.

This series has just too many characters to fall in love with that I find myself torn over who I want to read about the most. But Riley, WTF babe!!!

So after Riley’s bombshell in the last book which left Captive Films fans reeling, we finally get to find out exactly what Shelby is up to, and it’s not good. The story left me wanting to shake Riley and force him to open his eyes but he’s just too good a guy, that is apart from where Ariela is concerned and then he just becomes a cowardly, irritating, stubborn jerk!

The only downside to reading this series is the sheer amount of character stories that need to be covered. You don’t get to spend long enough with one loveable couple before you are swung in a different direction and into the path of another delicious pairing. That said, with the hunger I have to know more about all of the characters, perhaps this is the best way to proceed to satisfy the fans’ obsession with all things Captive Films.

Keatyn and Aiden’s relationship is blossoming despite the press but with Knox on hand to steer them away from their private affairs, all seems to be going well. Their conclusion to this story though was perfect. From remembering that day when Keatyn kicked a ball at towards Aiden we seem to have come a long way with their amazing connection. I really do have such fond memories of them growing up that I almost feel like a proud parent!!!

My favourite pairing in the “grown up” series though is Vanessa and Dawson and I really want them to find their HEA. By the end of Money they are certainly heading in the right direction and I hope that their dramas are nearing an end but with Whitney’s parents simmering in the background anything could yet happen.

Riley is still Riley. Fun loving but starting to think he may need to settle down and Ariela could just be his perfect partner, if only he’d wake up and smell the coffee! However, the Shelby situation still needs to be sorted and that girl needs putting in her place, firmly.

So, another instalment is completed but where will this series head to next, if at all?!

Holy Cow!!!!! Author Jillian Dodd did a fantastic job with this book!!! I was yelling at my kindle and than a few pages later I was digging into a box of tissues because my heart was breaking.

This series is seriously like Crack!!!!! I was drawn in from the first page and I think I set a record for how fast I finished this book. Housework and cooking took the back burner while I was reading this book.

I could go on and on about how angry I was at times and I would have loved to have been able to crawl into my kindle and throat punch Shelby. Seriously, is this chick for real?

“I had a brilliant revelation about Riley. Although he can be swayed by sex, I seem to get what I want more when I appeal to his emotional side.”

Poor Riley. My heart really broke for him in this book but at the same time I wondered how he could be so gullible. Loved Dawson in this one. We got to see a side of him we never saw before. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved Keatyn and Aiden in this one. I really could connect with their relationship and Aiden was as sweet and thoughtful as ever. I totally was Swooning over him and to be totally honest he was not the one I originally wanted to be moon boy.

“On one hand, it seems like I’ve waited so long for this. On the other hand, it feels like only a moment has passed by since the day she kicked a soccer ball at my head.”

The conversations seemed realistic between the characters and all the drama that occurred did not feel forced or fake. Everything in this book was just perfect.

I love that we get chapters in all different characters POV. That just keeps things fresh and interesting. There was not one part of this story I would say dragged or I could not connect with. I loved everything about this book except the fact that I have to wait for the next one to find out what happens next. I need the next book like I need air to breathe.

I could never get enough of this series and this one just picks up with all the juicy tidbits I love from their series.

Keats and Aiden.........I am so happy that you guys finally got your dream wedding. The bomb drop at the top of the Ferris wheel was an OMG moment that I can't wait to see how it plays out for you both.

Riley........seriously WTF is wrong with you and are you serious about Shelby? I have no clue what the heck you are thinking and I almost want to say you deserve all she is playing you for, but then I think of your sweet side that you really only share with your family and Keats and I change my mind.

Dawson and Vanessa.........I wanted to punch Bam in the face when he showed up at the door. I also had to laugh when he showed up at the bar and that just proves what a piece he really is. I will say that I am so glad that Dawson finally got to reveal all of what made him the person he is now. I can't wait to see what the next steps are for the two of you.

Knox.........I really hope that we get more of you and it appears that you might have finally seen what all your friends have been able to find with their true love!!

Bring on the next book as Riley needs a serious kick in behind to get him on track and Shelby where she belongs....not anywhere in the picture.

Wow, there is so much packed into this book that you will need to make sure that you have no distractions because you will not want to miss a single thing!

Riley/Ariela/Shelby – this story gets very interesting. Ariela is very sweet and trusting when it comes to Riley, she really believes they will get their HEA and seems to be walking around with rose coloured glasses on. Shelby, there are no words to explain how I feel about this girl except, grrrrrrrr!!! Riley makes some pretty interesting decisions but I think that they are born out of confusion, he is trying to do the right thing by everyone and therefore makes some silly choices.

Dawson & Vanessa – I just love what is happening between this couple, they both deserve some happiness in their lives and I really believe that this is one of those situations where you find the right person at the right time in your life. I am expecting great things for this couple – as long as outside interferences stay away!

Aiden & Keatyn – what can I say but awwwww. I love this couple and their beautiful, sweet relationship. We get to share their special day with them as they finally become man and wife. There are a few surprises thrown into their story which I absolutely LOVED.

And now I need more, I cannot get enough of this series and I love that Jillian has given us more!

AHHH, I finally got another Keatyn and Crew fix!!! This series still remains to be like crack for me. Money was worth the wait. So much happens in this season that I have to be careful not to spoil anything! Riley and Ariela play a huge part in this season as does a new wrench in the storyline, Shelby. You will love to hate Shelby and I truly hope she gets what’s coming to her. Keatyn and Aiden also are a big part of this along with a HUGE surprise. Also, secrets come to light in Dawson and Vanessa’s story that will make you love Dawson even more. All in all this was a fantastic and quick read (I seriously couldn’t put it down until I finished) that is a wonderful addition to this series. I NEED MORE!!!

Money picks right up where our favorite Keatyn Chronicles characters left off. We get more of the Riley/Airella/Shelby saga along with finding out what's in store for Vanessa and Dawson. Oh and did I mention a glorious wedding?? This series is amazing and I love the characters. I feel like I am best friends with the characters. I want to laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry, and just shake some sense into them sometimes. If you haven't read the series yet you are certainly missing out. Don't let the fact that it starts with high schoolers deter you. The series evolves and ages right along with them. Jillian is brilliant!

Money (The Keatyn Chronicles, #10) was another great read by Jillian Dodd. This book follows the lives of those who work at Captive Films. Riley is the Captive Films CEO who lives a very privileged playboy life. Everything is perfect until an ex flame walks back into his life with a huge secret. Keatyn is the owner of Captive Films who’s life is hectic. Now she wants to settle down with the man she loves and having babies. Dawson is a marketing consultant who joins Captive Films. He has spent the last two years caring for his daughters after their mother’s death. Knox has everything a man could want, except a woman to love. Shelby had a chance encounter with Riley, which could give her everything she’s wanted. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by Jillian Dodd.

This is another great book in this amazing series by Jillian Dodd. She really comes up with some amazing characters with wonderful quirks. I love all the ways she keeps these characters fresh and new while still keeping them true to who they are. I have loved watching them grow and can’t wait to see what is next from this crew.

A lot of events happening in this book!

Keatyn & Aiden are getting their HEA; Vanessa and Dawson have some hurdles to jump over; and Riley and Ariela have a roadblock in trying to get thru their past heartbreak and her name is Shelby. Riley…..get your blinders off and see what’s really in front of you!
