A question-and-answer format dispenses a myriad of information on the history of Spaniards, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and others, with the contributions and sacrifices made by those in the fastest growing minority in the U.S.
This is a great introduction to the overall history of Hispanics/Latinos in the Americas. Special attention is paid to Latinos in the USA. Very easy read.
A good introduction to Latina/o history. The "current events" and anecdotes are dated but that's ok. I liked the question and answer format of the book; it helped make it informal, accessible, and "light." If you're looking for a more in depth history at any of the subjects or time periods covered I'm sure there are great books of a more academic nature out there.
