Haremworld #1

Small Town Seven

Rate this book
I was only going to the small town of Granite Falls to handle some family business. I was a timid virgin with a damaged heart when I arrived. What started as a date with a man who helped me when I had a flat tire quickly spiraled into something I never expected. Seven men who craved me. Seven men who wanted to take care of me, protect me, and provide me with everything I ever dreamed of. What I didn't know at the time was that Granite Falls was filled with secrets and I was the key to unlocking them all.

Axe, the bad boy with a heart of gold.

Sheriff Jesse James, the peacekeeper who left my mouth watering when I first laid eyes on him.

Steve, his amazing brother -- a small town mechanic with a smile that could melt my heart.

Major, an Army veteran who left everything in the desert, including a piece of his humanity.

Blue, the local bartender who could quench a whole lot more than just my thirst.

Luther, a preacher who put his faith in God, but lost his faith when his world fell apart.

Mayor Joe Danvers, a young politician trying to hold everything together.

Kelli's Note: This is a steamy standalone novella with a HEA and no cheating! I'm a girl that likes wild and crazy romances, so that is exactly what you get from me. My heroes might be a little over-the-top with a touch of caveman and you'll get some angst along the way, but I promise that the good parts will give you a plenty of reasons to read this all by yourself!

Not as good as the usual RH books I read. The kindle version seemed to have too many errors for me to truly enjoy it.

This is my first read from this author. I thought this would be a ‘smut only’ kind of book. I love those books every once in awhile. This wasn’t really one of those books. But it also didn’t have much else. There isn’t much character development. I do think that opinion is definitely biased because my version of dirty smut books is VERY different from someone who is just starting off. I don’t have a problem with characters getting down and dirty two pages into the book. So this book is good but I’ve had a lot more in other books. I also didn’t like how the idea was proposed? It didn’t feel authentic and honestly I thought it was awkward. There are some spelling errors here and there too. I didn’t connect or really like any of the characters but I also don’t think it necessary or relevant. But, this book was hot and a quick fun read.

Overall: 2.5/5

1st order of complaints, Samantha. This girl pissed me off so hard and not in a good way. She cant do anything for herself. She just shows up and BAM 7 mens at her fucking disposal. Her character development here could have been so much better, rather than just being the girl that gets to fuck the shit out of everyone. She felt disposable, no personality, no wants, no thoughts even when the book panned back to her. Shes a
basic bill nye GIF

2nd bitchery, The Mens. Axe. Who the fuck is named Axe? Dude is fresh out of prison for weed. okay. I could have went my whole life without someone named Axe from prison. Then we have Jesse James whos a cop.

bored yawn GIF by Matt Cutshall

His brother Steve whos a machanic. Major whos an Army vet, I actually didnt hate this guy because we do get some detail on him rather than this vague ass bullshit. Blue with the biggest cock of them all. Tired Not Funny GIF by Now Apocalypse
Who the fuck names there kid after a color? ugh... and lastly Luther who is a preacher in the closet who likes light Spanking because someone had to be kinky. Which why the fuck wasn't it Axe body spray prison guy? Id think he would be the cliche let me spank that ass kind of dude.

NONE OF THESE PEOPLE WERE REMOTELY INTERESTING! This book has turned me into one of those people who have to complain in caps.

3rd Complaint that lead me to questioning why I even finished this book in the first place is...

Small Town Seven intrigued me from the moment I read the blurb. Seven guys, who come from drastically different backgrounds all want to get involved with the same girl? I desperately wanted to know why.
The boys, Axe, a criminal (With a heart of gold? Can't honestly say I saw this...). Sheriff Jesse James (God his name is annoying), his mechanic brother Steve, Major who is an army vet who works with Steve. Blue, the bartender. Luther a widowed preacher (His job made me very curious). And finally Mayor Joe Danvers, who is constantly called Mayor Danvers, and I honestly forgot his first name.
Our heroine Samantha, who is too stupid to live, comes to their tiny town to clear up some family stuff meets the guys and thinks they're all pretty damn hot. When they propose their little plan to all live together and have sex and look after her, she's hesitant because she's a virgin, and what will people think?
Turns out, neither of those things matter.

Now, aside from the plot, which was ridiculous, this was told in split POV. Everyone got a chapter. It pretty much alternated between Samantha and one of the men. But in the end, of the guys, only two got multiple chapters. Luther had two, and Axe had three. The rest had one each. So we never really got to know them or their motivations. And the only answer we got to why they wanted this arrangement, was that there were no young women in town. Which is ridiculous.
So if you're wanting a book that is essentially porn, this is for you. But if you want some substance, and a romance that ends in an HEA (as advertised), don't read this. Because there's no happy ending, it's an HFN ending at best, because there was no love, no romance, only sex. And that's not a romance novel.

A Dec 2018 I'm sick as shit read

DNF at 24%

WHY?

Because in THIS one, the beginning was not romance. It was "this town is dying because we have no young women and you're under the age of 99. So will you fuck 7 of us? We'll take care of you."

And I'm saying this because these fuckers called a MEETING. SMDH. An actual meeting where they all look at a basic stranger and ask her to give them some ass. O_O

No.

Just.

NO.

This was the first time I've read this author,,,, I enjoyed the book,,,,

This is the story of Samantha Grant she has to drive to Granite Falls to take care of her Grandmother's estate, as her father is sick, and it's only him and her,,,, she has graduated college and has moved home,,, so her dad, an only child also, is sick and can't drive to his late mother's house to get the house ready for possible sale and to get her Grandmother's ashes,,,, she is on the way there, not knowing that her Grandmother had a house full of cats,,, Samantha is very allergic,,,, but before she gets to town she blows a tire,,, now she's in a jam, as her cel, has no service where she is at,,,, she gets out, gets the trunk open, and then hears a vehicle coming,,, nope it's a motorcycle,,,, this big guy, his name is Axe, gets off his bike and for a minute she is scared of him,,,, but he changes her tire and talking to her finds out she is heading for his town and convinced her to meet him for a drink later,,,,, this is like a one horse town, everybody knows what's happening,,, the sheriff stops behind Axe's bike wanting to know if he is bothering her,, she tells Sheriff James about everything and says for her to go to his brother's garage, the only one in town, to get her tire and rim taken care of,,, by the time she gets there, Sheriff has already told his brother, Steve, who has told his part time help, Major about it, who tells The Mayor of the town when he comes into the station for a car problen, but he's really heard of Samantha's coming to town and also wants a chance at her himself,,,, she meets the gang, gets her car squared away, goes to her Grandma's whose neighbor tells her nobody will answer there,,, as the neighbor told her that Mrs. Grant had passed, so, she is going into Grandma's house, she is in the house for too long and she can feel her eyes starting to itch, her breathing getting bad, she has to get out ifvthere,,, she will stay in the motel,,,, the neighbor has her in for tea and finds out she will be going to the bar where her son, Blue works,,,, so, after the 2 ladies chat over tea, Samantha has to meet Axe, she then goes to the bar meets Axe and is introduced to Blue, and after that, she meets the preacher/coroner/M.E. of the town, Luther to get her Grandmother's ashes,,,, now all of these 7 men want her,,,, they do one better and they try to talk Samantha into staying, moving to Granite Falls, they would get her Grandmother's house ready for sale, take care if the cats, send them to the shelter for reforming, and all of them say they will buy her a house that they all know of, she would never want for anything, and all she has to do is be there for the 7 men,,,, lots of steam in this one,,,, especially since our girl, Samantha is a virgin,,,, yeap,,,, that's the jest of it,,,, for more on the story,,,, go, check out this book. , but, be warned ,,, have a fan handy for your reader,,,,

It’s a no from me

I read a lot of RH romance, and I had some reservations about this one simply because it’s a difficult trope to write well in such a small number of pages. You’d have to double the clever-ness of the situation in order to make that relationship seem true/functional compared to a longer RH novel/series. Adding onto the already difficult set up, it’s seven guys, so seven complete relationships inside one functional “healthy” relationship. This book fell short. Not only was the situation devised not 2x as clever, it was downright scary. Red flags everywhere.
*spoilers ahead, but only to 28% because I couldn’t get past that point*
She meets all seven guys on the way into town before the first day is even finished (I think? It’s sort of unclear, either all on the first day or within the first two days.) It then becomes VERY apparent that there are no eligible women in town. The seven guys, who aren’t all friends, decide collectively to proposition her. They do this without her showing any visible interest in them, by the way. They corner her and ask her to dinner. By the time she decides to go (after a whole bottle of wine) she leaves her hotel room to find that her car has been towed and one of them is there to pick her up. They spend the whole dinner explaining their dark/sad pasts, why they think they can’t LOVE her but how they could totally bang her, and then they want her to make a decision right there on the spot. Supposedly there’s something in this relationship for her, aside from the random foreclosed house they offered her, but I didn’t see it. It’s a perfect “hey, we can’t love you but you could try to fix us anyway” kinda thing— in fact that’s the first thing she does AT THE DINNER! (She tells two of them to get along and she’ll ~engage~ with the one she gives the ultimatum to in order for him to agree, which he does. A decades old riff solved by the miracle of a virgin pu***) I try really hard to suspend disbelief in RH romance, it’s sort of necessary most of the time. But all the warning sirens were going off in my head reading this. And her reaction to their proposition was very fast and unreasonably advanced for someone who’s supposedly as innocent/timid as Samantha supposedly was. It was so vastly unrealistic and underdeveloped that I couldn’t continue. Not to mention the overdone exposition. I just didn’t like it.

Yeesh. This was worse than I remember it being the first time I read it. I think I read this a year or two ago and I had rated it 2 stars for "just ok", but it's been long enough that I didn't remember anything. I've been going through my already-read pile and trying to figure out which ones are worth re-reading; this one is a once-is-enough kind of book.

I guess I thought there'd be a little more build-up to the harem, that there'd be some more character development and establishing connections between each guy and the heroine. But this skips over all that and the 2nd day she's in town, she gets pulled into the mayor's office and is propositioned because the guys interested in her have ALREADY gotten together to formulate this idea of sharing her. I know that this is smutty fiction and I get that she's only in town for a few days, but wow, that moved abnormally fast.

This is decent for a first time read if you're new to Reverse Harem and you're just looking for smut that goes from 0-100 in no time. I didn't get very far in this re-read and the first sex scene is...ok, I guess. Maybe if you're new to books with descriptive sex it would be good, but for me the attempt at dirty talk was stale and a little cringey at times. I will not be picking this up again, but since I enjoyed it enough to give it 2 stars last time, I'll just leave it unrated to be fair.

Ok.. someone find me a small town full of hot desperate men ready to satisfy my every need!!.. Not too much to ask for is it?!
Not for Samantha anyway as that’s exactly what she gets (#winning) when she goes back to town to sort out her late grandmothers estate.
The town has no young women so obviously all the guys want to hang out with her, so they decide to share her.
Even though there’s 7 of them it’s easy to remember who they are and get to know them as they all have distinctive jobs etc.
This was a good story and VERY hot & steamy... I just thought some things were a bit much.. them all full on wanting to keep her straight away and the way they all fawned after her.. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them was wiping her butt after she used the toilet!.. Also her going from virgin to porn star level in one night!.. And why wasn’t there any other young women in the town? It was easy enough for the guys to keep her there so why couldn’t they have gone to a different town and found themselves a girl to bring back each? I thought there was going to be a mysterious reason why but I don’t think it was explained unless I missed it?
Still definitely worth a read though!

Samantha goes to Granite Falls to settle her grandmother's estate and collect her ashes. What she didn't count on was for her car to get a flat on the way. Axe stops when he sees a car broke down and offers to help the gorgeous change her flat. When they make it into town the have drinks and she meets the sheriff. Unable to stay at her grandmother's place due to the smell from the cats Samantha gets a hotel room. Pretty soon she is learning that she is the only free young woman available in town right now. This upsets her because she feels if the guys had other options they might not be interested in her. Then they give her an offer that is hard for her to make a decision on right a way. Stay and live in town with seven men to take care of and all she needs to do is focus on the seven men and their needs. Can Samantha leave the city behind and build a life with seven men?

This is a steamy hot story that will captivate you from beginning until end. The chemistry between the character just about melts your kindle up. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is book one in the Haremworld Series.

Samantha is on her way to her father's hometown, to deal with her grandmother's estate and anything else that pops up, since she died. Samantha's dad is under the weather and can't make it. On her drive to Granite Falls, all Samantha can think of is getting there and getting it done. Little does she know that she will have hiccups along the way. These hiccups involve 7 guys with a proposal and a blown tire to turn her life around. Will Samantha take the guys up on the arrangement they just made to her? Or will she see this an opportune to feel the town just like her farther.

I could not put this book down, once I started reading it. I can not wait to read the second book in this installment. I have read a couple of books by this author, I liked each one of them. The flow of the book was on point. The information about the characters could have been could have been more developed. I can't wait to see what else Kelli has to write about. Kelli is becoming one of my favorite authors. I recommend this book it others.

I don’t even know really where to start with this book. It was just so ridiculous and dumb that it had me laughing the whole time.
Basically, this chick comes to a town that has a low female population, so seven prominent men of the town proposition her to basically become their whore. They’ll give her a house outside of town where they could all live and have sex with her whenever they want the majority promise her that they’ll never fall in love with her or even cuddle her. And yet they always make her breakfast and give her coffee. It’s just all really weird.
It’s insta-lust with no love or real romance or anything like that. It’s a very short and fast paced Novela. I just needed way more pages in the book and more romance and maybe an epilogue and it could’ve had a star and a half more maybe. But it didn’t so.

Loved this book, and i really loved how the Author managed 7 men making love to one women. The only one thing which was a bit strange to me was when the Sheriff arrested Samantha so she could talk to the Mayor. But it all gelled in the end and it was a good story line but thought it could of gone on a little bit longer.

Samantha is going to Granite falls to Settle her Grandmothers affairs. Before she gets there her tyre goes flat. Alex is first on hand and the Sheriff arrives just as he has finished. The Sheriff directs her to his brothers workshop as he is a mechanic and can fix it for her. But before she even gets there word as spread around that she is in town, and all the males have come out to see her. Soon she is in a meeting with 7 men all of whom think she is special to them.

Our heroine goes back to her small town with a broken heart but attracts the attention of seven local men.

Ever read a book and wonder if you misread the description? Well, there is a little of that going on here as the story is more erotica than romance. Our heroine, a professed virgin, losses her V card in one night to seven men. The story is full of hot steamy sex scenes, which I am not calling a bad thing. But there is no build up, no romancing. So if the romance is important to you, you might want to pass on this one. However, if you want lots of sex in different combinations, give it a go.

Recommended with the above caveat.

She gets propositioned not by one or two but by seven sexy alphas!!!!!!!.........we have a biker, sheriff, mechanic, war veteran, preacher, town mayor and bar tender trying to keep her in town by proposing that they all become her lovers with promises that she will be well taken care of if she agrees to take care of their needs.........
Yep this is one dirty story that will have you glued to your E-Reader

So this was just bloody terrible. 1st, it ends at 89%, 11% of the page count is a preview of another book.

So on to the flat tyre if a plot line. Samantha is a young innocent virgin, sent to a middle of nowhere town to collect her granny's ashes. Within 24 hours she's met the towns batchelors (Well technically there's a divorced guy and a widower in the mix) and this girl (remember innocent virgin) is deep throating, doing analysis and getting spit roasted "like a pro" no one actually promises to marry her but she's ready to become a mom yesterday by the way she's letting them splash buckets of cum in her.
It's completely ridiculous and there's basically no story above "me virgin, you throbbing cock"
I'm all for RH prn, but at least try for a thread of believability

Kelli Callahan is the queen of the reverse harem genre and she hasn't put a foot wrong with this wonderful story

Samantha has headed to Granite Falls a small town with a dearth of women she has already been propositioned by one man before she even arrives When she is offred a relationship with seven men she has to decide if she will stay. This is a quick read that maybe laks a little character development but Hey I loved the guys wasn't so sure about Samantha she seemed a little immature and seemed to give nothing back to the guys. Overall a fun quick read

I didn't like how the story ended

The story felt unfinished. They were talking about pies and then that was it. No epilogue. Did her dad move into her grandmother's house? Did she end up marrying Jesse? What about kids? What was the town like after the plant opened up? I was left with so unanswered questions.

Overall, the story wasn't bad. You got to know the characters and their history. Where can I find a town like Granite Falls? Usually towns that are dying only have old people living in them and not 7 hot single men.

I'm stuck in bed sick reading garbage smut and this book is even worse than that. Even garbage is too good a title for this.

There's zero chemistry between characters, no character development or anything. The fmc comes to town and then in the space of one conversation decides to get with SEVEN GUYS, has sex with all of them (even though she's a virgin) and loves it??

Never have I read a more clinical and weird sex scene as when she looses her virginity either. Constantly referring to his junk as "glans" and using technical terms for women's parts made it so cringy and not hot at all.

STEAMY and REALLY HOT

This was a very steamy book. It can be read in a couple of hours. It was nice to see a girl have a harem of men instead of the guy having them. It was different to see that all the guys were willing to treat her so well. Each guy was able to bring something different to the group. I can't say what happens in the book because it would give it away. So get the book and enjoy very steamy sex scenes.

The storyline was okay but the wording the author used was awful. I like erotica books and reverse harem books.

I was intrigued by the blurb for the book, however, the scenes were meant to be hot it was just awkward and weird. The dialogue was stilted and repetitive, clunky and completely unimaginative.

This was an okay read that needs proper auditing for incorrect words and typos.

This was definitely a unique take on an RH story. Samantha travels to the town where her grandmother lived in order to settle her estate after she passes. She manages to catch the interest of all the single men in town. Samantha is asked to form a relationship with seven single men in Granite Falls for the good of the town.

I really feel this could have been a great book, first off. The characters were pretty solid. I am still not sure if this was leading to something paranormal, but that is neither here nor there. I think I got lost when she started entertaining the men. I mean, it became like the porn version of a reverse harem, if you will. The main character described herself as a timid virgin...I do not think so.

I've read previous books by this author and have enjoyed them. This book had great potential but I just couldn't connect with it. Reverse harem books abound right now so I've read quite a few of them. There needed to be more character development with actual emotions connecting the characters for it to succeed. The book started out interesting but I never felt an emotional connection between the characters or with the reader. The book was filled with sexual escapades and not much story.

Holy crap. This one took me by storm. I honestly did not see it unfolding as it did. But I couldn't put it down. It was such an awesome storyline. How Samantha and the boys just fall into a routine is enticing. She is a champ to do what she does. I love how with one single act she ends a lifelong feud between two of her men.
