Helena

My boys and their pack are celebrating their victory over the maniacs who wanted to use Ray as a guinea pig. It’s a glorious night. They’re all smiles: laughing; being boisterous. Noticing Monica heading to a back room, I follow. Baby Helena is crying. I take her and tell the story of me and her great grandfather, hoping she’ll go to sleep. It works, but Monica’s response makes me wonder: can I find love again?”

Cliff

I never thought I’d be investigating the death of a loved one, especially not in the middle of nowhere. Nevertheless, life can surprise you. Tragedy can stab you in the back when you least expect it. But when I run into a beautiful, classy redhead, I realise life can also bring Delight. Her feathery voice haunts my dreams: eases my mind’s pain; comforts my soul. So, what keeps her running away from how we feel?

Though I am not sure about the title since the book is about the witch, Helena, and a human FBI agent, I was happy that Helena got her own love story.

Helena had been alone for a long time. Witches have extended lives and hers has been spent mostly alone. A bad romance in the distant past left her feeling betrayed and she had stuck to casual flings since then. She spends her time with her ex - lover's grandchildren and had saved their wolf butts several times. She had also seen them all find their mates and she even has a little namesake to coo over.

When trouble returns to Paxton, Helena is prepared to play her part and seduce one of the agents to get information. She finds the seduction is on both sides, but a romance built on lies and deception is not going to turn out well for her. See what happens as Helena and the wolves once more battle vampires and try to hide from the Feds. Well, Helena is not trying too hard to hide from one of them...

Poor...

Poor Helena...can she never keep her own lover? She is definitely unlucky in love! A lot of action and excitement in this story, and heartbreak stirred into the mix.
I love this series!

I had a very difficult time with this book. I didn't want to even finish it but I did...and it didn't get better.

I feel like it was "part of a book" and some of the words used are words I have never even heard of.

Nice

Nice flow with series love how the couples compliment each other. Nice read, only complaint is the same as before all the extra content is not needed.
