Epiphany #2

Epiphany: Part Two

Rate this book
Aidan is stubborn, sexy, and determined to protect me from the madman that stalks us. He’ll even protect me from himself.

He puts on the brakes, thinking it’s what I need, and maybe he’s right. But the allure of him is too strong, our connection too unbreakable, and neither of us can fight it anymore.

We both know the timing is dangerous. Details of the Hangman’s next kill are trickling into my dreams like a leaky faucet, and Aidan and I race to stop him. But who will save us?

Especially from the secret my dreams never disclosed—the one that nukes my world and obliterates the foundation of everything I believed to be true.

I don’t know if we can survive this.

Part two of a three-part serial, at approximately 31,000 words. Intended for mature audiences.

The Plot Thickens

Another quick, but intense, read, this second serial continues to delve deeper into this sordid tale. Macs dreams gradually get them closer to the killer, but still not quite close enough. Finally, Mac and Aidan are able to make a little headway, both in their relationship and in their investigation.

Finally, bending to the will of her mother, Mac agrees to go home for the Thanksgiving holiday. Leaving one monster in her wake, she'll have to face the skeletons that she left behind when she ran from her life months earlier. Her ex-boyfriend and her past will be unavoidable on the trip, but as long as Aidan is with her, she'll rest easy, knowing her visions of his death haven't come to fruition.

This serial has a few big revelations, especially at the very end. Mac's mom drops a bomb that casts a new light on everything. The dynamics of this story are drastically changed as another layer of this story is revealed.

I will be reading the third, and final, serial immediately. I'm dying to find out who the killer is and what the motive for the murders is.

Epiphany part two by Gemma James

Aiden & Mackenzie continued

I'M IN DEEPER AND LOVING IT!

So the saga continues... The Hangman is still killing and I'm fairly certain there's another cliff hanger in my future. Part Two is a little bit more intense than Part One. Our characters already know one another but there are some more reveals into both of their lives. This installment promises more sexual content than the last, however it also bodes more suspense and turmoil. Eeeeek!!!

Mackenzie seems to be opening up a little bit more to Aiden and letting him see more of herself, the true part of herself. This is a girl who has been through some pretty difficult events and is still maintaining a normal existence. She's absolutely amazing and I for one will putting her in my arsenal of rock chicks.

Aiden also seems to be opening up a little bit more, maybe not as much as I'd like him to however I'll take what I can get. There is more to reveal on his side then on Mac's side and I'm sure we'll get to it all eventually. In this installment we get to meet a little bit of Aiden's family... his father and his brother. At this point I'm not sure I like or hate both.

As always the supporting character cast helps shape and balance out this suspenseful story. There are a few characters I'm not so sure about at this point but I'm sure all will be revealed as I read on. I'm not really liking Aiden's family OR Mac's for that matter. Funny how what people think is good for you is the complete opposite of what you think is good for you!! Why do these jerks keep meddling?? STOP!!!

The pacing is fast and exquisite as always. The dialogue is more intense but equally as good if not better then the first installment. I feel like I'm getting to know the characters even better than before and totally relating to them. It has to be said that this cliffhanger nearly killed me and put me six feet under. I could hardly contain myself during the last words of this book. I love you Gemma James, you seem to hold so much power over me when I'm reading your books and I'm okay with that as long as you let me down gently. LOL... we all know that's not happening!

ARC provided by Gemma once again for an honest review! Thanks girly!

I just finished reading Epiphany: Part Two and I'm speechless. Brilliantly written, this book will keep you on edge from the very first page right to the "What the Hell" ending. Epiphany: Part Two is filled with drama, angst, revenge, forgiveness... everything a reader wants in a book. It's exciting, heartbreaking, sexy, with some twists you didn't see coming.

Gemma James has a way with words that keep her readers coming back for more. Secrets are unfolding, lies are told, and sacrifices are made. I have read hundreds and hundreds of books and there have been many that have stuck with me after I've finished reading them. But Epiphany; Part Two... I have not stopped thinking about this book even after I started reading another book. Prepare yourself for an ending that will shock you and leave you begging for more.

This is part 2 of the epiphany serial. It is wild, exciting and action filled. I absolutely love gemma's books she has a way of drawing you in and making you experience the story like you are there. In this part Mac and Aidan are continuing their search for the hangman, and threw Marc's visions and dreams they are getting more clues. They have also grown closer to each other. They are both finally feeling things after both experiencing traumatizing events from their pasts. They connect with each other. This part was even better then the first, I can not wait to read part 3 and see how this story ends. This one ended with a definite WTF moment lol. now Im patiently waiting to find out who is the hangman, will he get Aidan, how did he get Mac in part 1 and is that wtf moment for real lol Great job gemma you have me hooked once again.

This is hard. If I were to give a friend a review of this book all I would say is "This book series is freaking amazing. You've got to read it." I suppose I need to be a little more descriptive than that for this review.

A fantastic follow-up to part 1 and such a jaw dropping ending for this part. I am crazy about this story and these characters. This part focuses just a little less on the serial killings and gives us more of the developing relationship between Mackenzie and Aidan and I can't get enough of them and their flirty banter! Aidan is a dreamboat.

The writing and dialogue are great and there is a good pace to the story so you are constantly wanting to find out what happens next. Five stars!

5 terrorizing stars!!!
Mackenzie who has been overwhelmed by her own nightmares about this vicious serial killer is now facing one of her biggest nightmares. Now the serial killer is after her and won’t stop at anything. Aidan won’t leave her out of his sight for fear of losing her to this sadistic bastard. Both Aidan and Mackenzie have already had their friends fall in the deadly claws of this killer. After another woman falls prey to this insane killer, Mackenzie reluctantly decides to go to her mother’s Thanksgiving dinner with Aidan. Unbeknownst to Mac, an unexpected guest invited by her mother, shows up to the party and upsets her. There’s a major twist that happens during the dinner that could ruin everything for both Aidan and Mac. Would this be the end of their newly blossoming love? Could it really end like this? Agh! This just sent me over the edge. I couldn’t believe what I read. Can’t wait ‘til part three comes out! Counting down the days!!

This book was great. I am not usually a reader of mysteries but this is written in such a way that I cannot wait for the next installment. I am left with so many questions. I have tried to pry them from Gemma but she isn't talking. lol. being Gemma though, you know there are some twists along the way. That is why I love her work. Thanks for another great read!

Part two in the Hangman murder mystery series.
Disaster keeps following Mac and Aidan, and even though Mac gets her premonitions and they´re closing in on the Hangman, he keeps eluding them.
Fast paced, suspense, smut and action in a great combo.
Can´t wait for the next part!
