The bombshell my mother dropped on me has decimated my world, and the timing couldn’t be more dangerous. The Hangman is closing in, but even if I do survive his noose of death, I fear there won’t be anything left to go back to.
What if Happily Ever After isn’t in the cards for Aidan and me?
Part three of a three-part serial, at approximately 27,000 words. Intended for mature audiences.
Gemma James is a USA Today bestselling author of sexy contemporary and dark romance. She loves to explore the darker side of human nature in her fiction, and she’s morbidly curious about anything dark and edgy, from deviant seduction to fascinating villains. Readers have described her stories as being “not for the faint of heart.”
She warns you to heed their words! Her playground isn’t full of rainbows and kittens, though she loves both. She lives in Oregon with her husband and children, a gaggle of animals, and bipolar weather.

Finally, we find out who the killer is. Yet, as one door closes, three more open. Despite everything falling together, exposing the identity of the murderer, I was left with a ton of questions that were left unanswered. I need some closure!
Ms. James left this story wide open. I'm hopeful that she intends to continue this story and offer some explanations. However, this book closes with a vague reference to the possibility of a book for Logan at some point in the future.
If the story had ended without leaving a whole new set of questions behind, it would of been a 4 -star book for me. However, the fact that the mystery is solved, only to leave us hanging with new mysteries left unexplored, dropped this book to a 3 - star read for me. I'm frustrated and irritated.
My stomach has been doing flips flops since I laid my eyes on this series. I am certainly glad that it's over. Don't get me wrong the book is excellent, the series superb, but the emotional roller coaster this serial has had me on is nothing short of mayhem and havoc.
Mackenzie got on my last damn nerve in this last installment. I get why she did and said what she did but I honestly feel she would have benefited much more if she would have just let Aiden in from the beginning. But that's just one girl's opinion. Mackenzie is searching for the truth, a truth she does not want to except. She's on a mission but at the same time the hangman serial killer is still out there. Will Mackenzie find what she's looking for? Will she like what she finds? And more importantly will she avoid certain death from the hangman at all costs? Bwahahahah... good luck with all that!!!
Aiden seems more forthcoming in this last book, however there's still more to learn about our mysterious Ex-Reporter!! Aiden is on his own mission, to find and eradicate the hangman serial killer. Although he may have some good leads, he seems to not have time to pursue those as he is more concerned with McKenzie's safety and whereabouts. Much more is revealed regarding our beautifully handsome Aiden and quite honestly, it made me fall deeper in love with this hottie!
The supporting character cast is vast. Learning more about Aidan's family, McKenzie's family, and pepper in a little more Joe (the ex) and this supporting character cast detonated the pages. I quite honestly wanted to kick Mackenzie's mother's ass several times. She unloads a shit storm of hell upon Mackenzie and for that I would have gladly offered her up to the hangman in a heartbeat!
In a nutshell, the conclusion to this serial is fast paced, full of energy, and was effortless to read. Gemma James is a phenomenal author who sucks you in with her suspense and thrills. She doesn't just tell you a story, she somehow seems to put you in it. This emotional roller coaster will pull on your heartstrings, bring you to a very dark place, and lift whatever spirits you may have left. Thank you Gemma for killing me softly!!!
ARC provided by Gemma in exchange for an honest review... although I secretly think she's trying to kill me!!
I just finished this book and . . . I'm at a lost for words... Because that ending left me with a, "WTF!" Don't get me wrong I read all 3 books and it was an awesome intense read but this book just seemed so rushed and I'm really disappointed with the ending of this book. I really hope there will be a 4th book...Keeping my fingers crossed!!
Oh Gemma.......you had it in the bag! You were soooo close but you raced through everything, missing opportunities to really dig deep and get into some deep emotions by developing the characters, but instead you were racing towards the end. The book is good but boy am I disappointed! I get that you wanted to wrap it all up in this book but why not just go with another in the series, instead of these non stop action scenes but all superficial. This could have been a phenomenal book.
I loved all three books of this Series!! I felt that there should be more in regards to Aidan dad, Hamilton and how the Sheriff told him to protect his unborn child and girlfriend from him... I would another book should be added in order to find out what is Hamilton agenda regarding Mackenzie abilities!! I felt that part of the story was left unfinished. That's my opinion!!
What the hell just happened here? Does anyone know if there's a book four? Don't get me wrong, I love the series but that ending left me with too many unanswered questions! I'm not a happy camper right now 'cause either I have to wait for another book or that was the end! Excuse me while I find a corner to hide in. Let me know when Ms. James decides to right this wrong...
After reading Epiphany; Part Two, I was left with too many questions... but answers. I don't know what I expected, but it definitely was not that ending. Then I received an ARC of Epiphany: Part Three and I read it hoping that Gemma James would give me the answers to all my questions. The whole Epiphany series was a gritty, dark, intense, shocking, addictive, raw, emotional, captivating... it was everything. I loved being caught up in the characters Gemma James creates and you feel their emotions. Definitely a page turner.
A REALLY GREAT STORYLINE A TINY BIT PREDICTABLE BUT STILL VERY ENJOYABLE. IT DID END BUT WITH SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS I HAVE A FEELING WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER SERIES OR AT LEAST A BK#4 SOON. HOPE SO! ;D
I loved the whole story! For some one who usually reads supernatural kind of books this is mind blowing, I just loved the whole series read it in one night had me on the edge of my seat.
Loved this series so much. Dark and twisted but I took a star off the review because I am not a fan of HFN, specially when there are questions left unanswered.
