My father was in trouble. Deep trouble. The only way to help him? Agree to work for Mr. Rousseau. Be his. The beastly, wolf-like billionaire. And cover the debt however he sees fit.
I’m Bella. An app developer. The daughter of the great Web developer Maurice Verdandi. After a suspicions disappearance I find him. He’s broken. Defeated. One of his guys screwed up the network of a billionaire. Crashed the system. Billions in damages. Bankruptcy was the only option.
But I went to him. The Billionaire. Mr Rousseau. To save my father. He was the embodiment of raw manliness. Tall, with the body of a beast. No… he was a wolf. But with bright blue eyes. And his smell… overwhelming and mesmerising.
He agrees to wipe the slate clean. Free my father of debt and responsibility. But in exchange for something. Me. What do I do? He’s willing to let my father’s company die. End him forever. This man’s a monster. So why can’t I stop thinking about him? His hair, those eyes, his smell. That beastly body…ravishing me like an animal.
**A Beauty and the Beast Romance. No cliffhangers. Very mature themes. And a HEA.**
Falling for the Beast by Angela Blake is a modern take on Beauty and the Beast and I very much enjoyed the modern twist. This story is about Bella whose father gets into some very serious financial trouble, big time, so she goes to billionaire Mr. Rousseau to ask for his help. He will only provide assistance/help if comes work for him until the debt is paid. She now belongs to Mr. Rousseau also known as Adam… Adam is a wolf, and more importantly, an alpha wolf and is known for getting what he wants and right now he wants Bella. Bella is one smart girl and she loves her father. She doesn’t know what to make of Adam yet there is this spark, this connection between them. She went to him to make sure he wouldn’t dismantle her father or destroy him ; she sacrificed herself for her father when Adam told her she has to work for him or he will take apart her father’s company for the mistakes made to his company, and to him. Their attraction is mutual and she agrees to be HIS. But what first started as business turned into something MORE. The passion that grows between Bella and Adam is electric, sizzling and combustible. The sex between Adam and Bella is steamy and I don’t see it ending anytime soon, but getting more hot, which I just cant see but based on how they acted in this story, yep, I sure can see it happening. Yet there are twists and turns in this story as well as a villain….it is steamy, hot, action packed and full of hot romance. I enjoyed this romance and can’t wait to see what Ms. Blake writes next.
My Rating: 4.4 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
I can't. I tried. I really did. I even went into it knowing- KNOWING - this was probably going to be cheesey. I can handle cheese. I love cheese. But this was just....
All I want is a nice, relaxing, drama-free book, heavey on the cheese, good sex, with an actual plot and rounded characters. I didn't get that here.
Book slump? The last couple books i've read now have put me in a frummpy mood :(
If you are confused by my heading, please let me elaborate. It appears, at least to this reader, that Angela Blake owes this storyline to the two above-noted spectacular authors. The only thing she did change was the ethnicity of the lead female character. In both Ms. Vaughn’s and Soular’s versions of this story both had a large dose of melanin in their skin tones while Angela Blake gave her female character ‘alabaster skin”.
Soular’s great story (“Seven Days”) can be found on the site “Literotica” and Ms Vaughn’s can be found in an e-book titled “Mistress to the Beast” on Amazon. Both of these masterpieces spin circles around the dismal story penned by Angela Blake. I suggest, if you wish to read the unduplicated mastery of the written word centered around this type of love story that you check out these two fantastic authors and make up your own minds. You will see for yourself who wrote the story both first and best.
Please note that though Ms. Vaughn first wrote “Mistress to they Beast” in 2008, she has since re-released it in July of 2017. No matter the date, her version still makes Angela Blake’s duplication looks amateurish. Plagiarism and stolen sound like such dirty words, so, I dare not reference them to Angela Blake, but as my grandmother used to say, “If the shoe fits...”. At the very least, this is my personal opinion, based on reading all 3 of these authors’ work using this storyline.
I really enjoyed this version of Beauty and The Beast, Bella and Adam. Angela wrote about my favorite childhood fairytale with a unquie twist. There are original characters referenced in this story along with some really hot sex scenes that make this an adult telling of this fairytale! Bella stands up for her dad against Adam and what he is threatening to do to his business. Adam is a very wealthy self made businessman with a mysterious life and not all good. He comes off very imitating and demanding. Bella stands up to him as best as she can until he takes control. Bella is a app developer and gets to save her father by working with and along with Adam in exchange for taking her fathers business down. Adam slowly becomes a man to be respected and loved. Bella comes into her own with Adam by her side. I loved how they seemed to balance one another out and end up learning how they are normal people with money. Yes, there is a bad guy, Gaston and he tries with all his might to save Bella from the Beast, Adam. Will Bella like that Gaston tries to save her or is she happy to have saved Adam from his past? This is truly a wonderful adult story with many emotions. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I always say that I love modern fairy tales, (and The Beauty and the Beast is my fave), but this book here ended up mixing so much that it was strange. The reasons to justify an updated "curse" didn't convince at all. 2 stars
A romance that's a version of a beauty and the beast. Bella would do anything for her father and when he got in trouble she went to see billionaire tech mogul Adam for his help. As she works with him she soon discovers that he is not as he appears. As she pulls back layers and layers she finds herself falling for him. A beautiful love story with lots of hot and sexy scenes. Definitely not your child's fairy tale. A good read and an HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
In a flurry of activity, Bella Verdandi is being fitted for a lovely dress for a dinner that evening with Mr. Adam Rousseau. Madame Florinda buzzed around her like a bee, letting her thoughts and opinions flow rapidly into the conversation as she was deciding on what to create that would highlight all of Bella’s assets most perfectly. Bella called her father on her cell phone as she waited to tell him of her agreement with Mr. Rousseau and to reassure him that everything would be fine. One of her father’s employees had caused the loss of a great deal of Mr. Rousseau’s money through a network crash, and to get her father out of severe financial trouble with his client – who was rumored to be tied into organized crime -- she agreed to work for Mr. Rousseau in her capacity as an app developer. Adam took her to a lavish restaurant for dinner and introduced her to his wealthy peers. Her beauty and intelligence impressed them all, and she gained confidence enough to interact comfortably with them.
Bella stayed the night in the guest room at the manor and the next morning met the butler and the majordomo in the kitchen. Lumiere and Cogsworth discussed whether she could be “the one”, but Bella wasn’t sure what they meant. Then they told her about the curse their Master was under. Would Bella help Adam change his “bad karma” and gain the respect of his peers? Or would she pay her father’s debt and walk out of his life forever?
This happens to be one of my favorite fairy tales, and I loved how the author blended the names I knew so well within a modern setting. I was excited to read each page and see how alike it was and what was newly added! Having the familiar characters in this new environment was perfect for me – I loved the story. The story line was excellent, the reader could sort of anticipate what would happen next, but then it went in a new direction! Close enough to be thrilled with the story, yet new interpretations that kept the reader eagerly turning the pages. You couldn’t ask for more – but the author provides more and it’s wonderful! You won’t want to miss this one. There is something special about stirring your childhood memories and showing them to you in a whole new light! I initially received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review; needless to say, I also purchased the published copy to add to my library of wonderful books!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a wonderful story by Angela Blake that is based on Beauty and The Beast but with lust and red hot attraction and plenty of sex. Angela introduces us to "her" Beauty in the form of Bella Verdandi, who is a talented app builder who works for her Dad. She always dresses to be comfortable and doesn't appreciate how beautiful she really is without even trying. One of her dad's employees has made a significant mistake and cost a client's firm millions of dollars so the owner, Adam Rosseau is determined to sue which will make her dad's firm go into bankruptcy. Bella won't let that happen and this feisty young woman goes to Adam Rosseau and says that she will do anything as long as he won't destroy her dad's company. Now Adam isn't a spiteful man but he does want to be respected and when he encounters Bella he is entranced by her beaut, her loyalty and willingness to do anything to save her dad's business. Their attraction is mutual and she agrees to be HIS. What started out as a business arrangement becomes far more than either could ever have anticipated or dreamed of in their wildest fantasies. Angela uses an easy flowing writing style that draws you into her "world" and gets you to "meet" and understand the protagonists. The passion that grows between Bella and Adam is combustible and not going to die out. The sex scenes and encounters are filled with witty banter and innuendo that just builds up the tension and makes you not want to put the story down until you've finished it. Angela Blake is on my list of favourite authors and this book is a prime example of why she is so popular. If you haven't read any of her books before try this and I'm sure you'll be as hooked on her stories as so many of us are already. Enjoy!! I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
Bella is a successful app designer who lives with her father who owns a web development company. She is supposed to meet her father for dinner but he stands her up. She finds him drunk and depressed when she arrives home. One of his employees messed up an program and crashed the network of their customer. Data was leaked and now the company CEO is after her father's company for compensation. Her father's only alternative is bankruptcy. Bell tells her father she will meet with the CEO Mr. Rousseau and hopefully arrange a deal. Her meeting with Mr. Rousseau was totally surprising but it will save her father and his business. Her father will fix the broken network and recover as much data as possible. Bella will come to work with Mr. Rousseau and design apps for his company who haven't developed any yet. She is to be at the beck and call of Mr. Rousseau and go with him everywhere. Adam Rousseau is is a great businessman but his career has been hindered by an stupid mistake he made when he first started. He was rude to the mother of an important and well-liked businesswoman. Since then, everybody views him as a rude beast and not in the same social class. Adam hopes that having the beautiful and intelligent Bella on his arm will improve their opinion of him. He feels that his life was ruined by his mistake and no one could ever love him. I loved this adaption of Beauty and the Beast. I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the Disney movie present as his employees. It was fun reading their names. This book has a lot of the plot of the movie but adapted to the business world. I have always loved this fairy tale and this story fits right in. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
This is my first book by Angela Blake to have Read & feel appreciated that I've been allowed to review for her. And what a beautiful love story. I did though feel that Billionaire entrepreneur Adam Rousseau wasn't that much of a 'BEAST', yes in the way he was going to sue & make programmer, 'BEAUTY's' (Bella Verdandi) father (who's a web designer) bankrupt from an error of 1 of his employees. Anyway we see the confidant young designer go in all guns blazing saying Adam couldn't do that. And this is where I thought he had planned the repayment of the error from the start & that was to have Bella his in ALL ASPECTS, though not really knowing the outcome. Whilst Bella just thought of helping her father, but their attraction was something else & she saw the true inner self of Adam & reason why he became the person he had become. My tiny, tiny, negative is how I wished the epilogue was more informative & slightly longer. That's all. An easy likable short read
Bella is trying to figure out a way to pay her father's debt with Mr. Adam Rousseau when the network crashed leaving Bella's father's company in a bad situation to cover their tracks and find a resolution. During their meeting, Adam makes her an offer she can't refuse. Bella agrees, but has Bella gotten too far over her head? Will Adam be the man she believes him to be or is he tied to organized crime?
Adam is so impressed with Bella upon their meeting that he can't deny what he feels for her or how she makes him feel. Can he control the beast inside to make it work with Bella? Can Bella be the one to change his image and gain respect from his peers?
This is an excellent book of hope, love, drama, scandal, mystery, romance, love, lust and of course a HEA. The characters are well written and developed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
This book we get a modern telling of Beauty of the Beast. In this book we find Beast is a Billionaire and Bella is a web developer. No matter how much she works she can't seem to help her father when he makes a major mistake. However when she finds him she does what she can for him again and agrees to be the person to accept his debt. Mr Rousseau knows that he is getting the best of this deal but he would never tell his little Bella. Can they find common ground or will this be a different type of ending?
This book is an amazing retelling of this story and really makes it so people can connect to this story. There are many things I want to tell you about this story but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Bella's father makes a mistake at work and when Bella learns about what its going to cost him she jumps in to defend and help him. Bella goes and confronts Adam Rousseau about it and ends up works a compromise where she goes to works for him. They fight their attraction but its hard when they work with each other daily. What should have been a punishment turns into so much more for Bella as she finds something she wasn't even looking for in Adam. However nothing is ever easy and when someone tries to step in to "rescue" Bella from Adam there's some drama. Will Bella stay with Adam?
This was a good story I really enjoyed reading it. It was a nice spin an old fairy tale.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed this twist of a fairy tale. Bella is a young lady who is great with making apps. Her dad is her only family, and she finds he's upset due to a screw up in his company for an investment firm. Bella is determined to fix this problem and keep her dad out of jail. Adam is a hard man. No one knows much about his private life, his business dealings he is cut throat and a real beast. Bella goes to Adam to solve her dad's issues, he sees it as an opportunity, he offers her a trade, her dad's freedom for her working for him. Bella agrees. They develop feelings for each other. Bella realizes he isn't so bad. Great story and fun play with names.

Loved this story a spin on the fairy tale a Beauty and the Beast. Bella is a career driven young lady that works for her fathers company. Something goes wrong with a website they are developing that may cause them to lose everything. Bella goes to see Adam the billionaire whose company website was ruined by Bella's fathers company. Adam is a beast, he's handsome and arrogant. He now wants Bella to work for him to save her father. Will Bella do it? Can she tame the beast and find love with him?
I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this updated, modern software oriented version of Beauty and The Beast. Bella and her father both write software for a living and Adam owns a large stock brokerage company that needs programmers. I really loved this twist into really current topics of apps and web pages. Ms Blake is pretty obvious in her naming choices with Lumiere, Mrs Potts, Chip and so on direct from the original story, but they play a small role in the story. This is a quick, easy read that is fun and quirky.

Very well written story with a nice plot and storyline. I like the characters are well described and develop nicely. I am thinking a modern version of Beauty and the Beast with a twist. Sometimes you have to leave the classics as they are but this is a nice version and it has made it unique. As a result of loss of millions of dollars a bargain is made and Bella has to work for Adam. There is hot chemistry and steaming scenes. I like it very much.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and I gladly leave my review. I loved this book it was so much better than the original Beauty and the Beast. This story is about Bella whose father gets into bad financial trouble, so she goes to the billionaire Mr Rousseau to ask for his help. Rousseau will only help her father if she heeds his demands in all things which Bella doesn’t have a problem doing. No more spoilers you will have to read the book and I do recommend this book to people who like sexy beasts and the women that can tame them. Well done Angela.

With beast I was thinking to some fantasy side story in the book, like he really could turn into a beast, but that wasn't the thing. He was just not that friendly to somebodies mother and got the blame for that and never got from under that, next that his father was in the mafia.
He tricks her into working for him when her fathers company makes a big error. She says yes and they grow closer and closer together. Soon the sparks between them turn into more and that is a hot read.
Falling for the Beast: A modern fairytale romance by Angela Blake is a very good read. This is a fun and very steamy reimagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast fairytale. Belle and Adam are a very good together. They have amazing chemistry and their scenes really sizzle. Book offers up a great supporting cast of characters. A well written book, with an entertaining storyline makes a enjoyable read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Great story that pulled me in right from the beginning. A great modern twist on the classic fairytale of Beauty and the Beast. Bella, the beauty, agrees to work for Adam, the beast, in order to save her father from financial ruin. The attraction between Adam and Bella is instant and their chemistry sizzles of the pages. Can this beauty tame the beast? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Let me start by saying Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favourite Disney film so it is quite difficult to read different stories and leave a review, but I did enjoy this book, in all honesty I can't say it's my favourite but definitely enjoyed it 😊
Bella is an App Developer. Maurice is Bella's father. One of Maurice's employee has lost some things that they were working on for Adam. Adam is a stock broker. Bella goes to Adam to ask for forgiveness. Adam makes a deal with Bella. Work for him to develop an App for his stock company and he will leave her father alone. This was a great read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. In this story the Beast is named Adam and the Beauty is named Bella. He is a wealthy stockbroker and she is a beautiful computer progamer. How Bella tames the wild beast makes for an enjoyable read with plenty of spice to keep any reader happy .Fans of Angela Blake will not be disappointed.
I usually love fairytale retellings but I just couldn't get into this one. The writing was stilted and disjointed and the story was really all over the place. I really had to push myself to finish it. I don't want to be mean or anything but I am kind of flabbergasted by all of the 4 and 5 star reviews. Did we read different books?
I liked this story. That being said, I felt that it was poorly written. Too much didn't make sense to me. Then there was the silly parts. Who moves in with a guy that soon after meeting him? Not just that but he didn't even ask her, her and the butler decided it. Come on!! That was just an example. There was more. But I did like how it was a play off of Beauty and the Beast.
The story line doesn’t match, at first says that Adam is 33 aprox. But in the middle mention that the altercation with madam Dumond was 20 years ago and he was starting his business, that really doesn’t match. Also belle wasn’t a prisoner, she accepted and wanted to live there, Adam didn’t force her to live there, lumiere was the one to proposed that.
This story of Belle and Adam will have you fanning your face and rethinking the original story. Belle is a little powerhouse and sets out to prove to the public that Adam is a better man than rumored to be. His guarded vulnerability will melt your heart and you'll cheer at the team they become.
