RAAT BAAKI HAI... Jaswant Singh Kanwal (1954)
Story of Charan and Raj who love intensely but have to sacrifice everything owing to Charan’s commitment to his ideology. Charan, who is a brilliant student but belongs to a family of small farmers. As he grows, he is influenced by communist ideology and starts dreaming of classless, equal world. He struggles for the noble cause of liberation of peasants and small farmers from the clutches of Jagirdars. But, suffers from same fate as other revolutionaries do. Excellent read. Cannot comment anything on GENIUS WRITING of Jaswant Sing Kanwal.
