Rate this book
Sarah Talbot is trapped in a life at odds with her free spirit. She wishes she had the guts to chuck the business world for something more creative. Until then, she’s eager to explore her newfound gift for casting spells. Too bad the hunky bartender who gets her all hot and bothered has had his fill of hocus-pocus.

Abandoned by his teenage mother, ex-Marine, personal trainer, and part-time bartender Matt Lucas grew up in the loving but chaotic home of his aunt, a quirky local witch. He longs to buy his own gym, meet a sensible businesswoman, and build a secure, conventional life. The last thing he wants is to fall in love with a witch.

Before becoming a writer, former Romance Writers of America Golden Heart contest finalist Gail Hart spent a few years as an Air Force JAG, then settled in as a lawyer and manager for the US government. Despite what opposing counsel sometimes said about her briefs, she didn't write any fiction until later in her career. She must have been destined to be a romance writer, though, because even the law review article she wrote had "sex" in the title. She spent most of her life on the east coast but now lives in San Antonio, where she doesn't miss the cold.

A fun, sexy read!

I really enjoyed this romantic romp (which has a nod to Gail's prior book--loved that detail!). I'd love to see a sequel with the future adventures of this witch-in-training and her family.

Sarah and Matt are fun and HOT and exciting. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down. I love a book that can take me out of my real world, doesn’t everyone? And just look at that cover...great design for a modern day romance with a paranormal twist.

Gail remembered that I read and reviewed awhile ago. She asked me to read and review this book now. I am so glad she asked again! I thought it would be a light story. I found it was deeper than that. Sarah worked for a non-profit business. She and her boss, Ray, didn't get along. Sarah has a little magic and used some on Ray. Matt is a retired Marine and works as a bartender. His mother, Zoe, is a Wiccan. She is helping Sarah to be one too. Matt wants to buy a business from a friend who is also Sarah's father's business. So when that is on the burner Sarah is being arrested. She goes to hide with Zoe. Between Stu, Sarah's lawyer, Matt, Wendy, a friend and they found the culprit! There are lots of twists and turns in this story! I fell into this book. I hope you will too! Don't let this story get away! Enjoy reading your book!

A sexy fun romp from author Gail Hart. A woman who's just discovered she has magic powers falls for a man whose experiences with his aunt, a witch, have left him less than thrilled about magic. The sexual attraction is there, but can they overcome this difference and find true happiness together?

My second published novel is a steamy light paranormal romance. A novice witch is eager to explore her newfound gift, but the ex-Marine who gets her all hot and bothered has had his fill of hocus pocus. Can love conjure the magic these two hearts need to thrive?
