Ever since that kiss in the back alley in Europe, I couldn't get Evan out of my head. I tried to put it all past me, to just write it off as a simple little drunken thing that wasn't ever going to happen again, but I just couldn't The dreams that I'd been having had only grown more intense, more real. Last night, I dreamt of him pouncing on me in that back alley, pulling my pants down, turning me around, and having his way with me in the most aggressive manner imaginable. Waking up in the morning, I was more aroused than I'd ever been in my life. It was then that I realized that there was no way I'd be able to ignore the attraction I felt for him; I had to act on it. …
JJ Bella has created a wonderful story here based around Roxanne and Evan as well as his adorable little daughter, Darla. They first meet on the university campus where she is studying and he is working as a professor of archeology. She latches onto him asking him to show her where the science building is to avoid someone who won't leave her alone. She acts all ditsy and Evan is not so impressed, even though he thinks she is stunning, as it makes him late to his daughter's recital. Next day she meets him again and he is her new archeology lecturer and he is stunned to see her again as he chooses his students very carefully. She tries to make him see her as intelligent rather than ditsy. he just thinks she is trying to be teacher's pet! But over the course of the term his viewpoint changes as well as having to resist his growing attraction for her. When he is offered the chance to go to Czechoslovakia for a dig with a student/intern he chooses her and that is the beginning of their HEA. Evan is a devoted and doting dad who knows just what Darla can be like for wrapping him round her little finger! The passion between him and Roxanne is steam heat off the charts but he keeps trying to resist even though he knows it's a game he cannot win. I loved the way towards the end Darla gets two of her wishes! A wonderful story full of warmth and love. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED. [[ASIN:B076HCDHCG Ploy: Fake Marriage Single Dad Romance]]
5 Stars. PLOY:Fake Marriage Single Dad Romance by JJ Bella.
I read this book nonstop. It flowed nicely as it told the story of Evan and Roxanne. The hot professor and the college senior. Add a little 8 year old and it’s a recipe for a family.
Who knew that this hot hunk of a man would score a beauty like her. I’ll read this again.

Evan was a great dad to his adorable daughter Darla. He was also a college archeology professor. When he first meets Roxanne he thinks she's ditsy and he's annoyed that she made him late picking up his daughter. They are thrown together when she ends up as a student in his class. Their relationship isn't insta love, but slowly grows. A sweet romance and cute interaction with his daughter.
Reading about the love that manifested between Roxanne and Evan, you will not be able to tell the she difference. It was only the random mention about the age difference between the two love birds. All-in-all, I loved reading about Roxanne and Evan!!
3 Star Kindle Unlimited Read This was a great quick read before bed. It was a sweet romance between a professor and his student. Rumors began to fly a fake engagement prevented the college from taking action. As the professor withdrawals the student becomes close with his daughter. After breaking off the fake the two come to the realization they truly love each other.
The most corny part.... yep, the undergrad is a virgin. Go figures.
The concept for the story is cute, despite being a well-trodden path, but the poor grammar and editing made finishing the story painful! The ending was extremely rushed, and the fact that Evan have Roxanne his dead fiancee's ring was a little tacky for me.
Really good, not so taboo feeling being the characters were both under 30 over 21 yrs of age. The maturity of making sure business was before pleasure, and developing a relationship with a motherless child. All in all the outcome was best, and the characters played there roles until playing was no longer an option.
Frances in Florida While the story is nice the amount of grammar errors is appealing. This author needs to hire better proof readers. She also leaves out articles of speech and uses the wrong verb tense. I would only recommend this book to 17-25 year olds as a light read.
The story was ok but with no great detail. It needs a serious edit because there are typos throughout which distract from the story and the end seems rushed.
