This Halloween, they’re coming for me... but so is she.
I was an American hero. I have the medals to prove it. But time’s changed everything and now I’m running from the law.
After what happened to my family, I have no emotion left in me other than bitter hate.
The only thing I’m living for is revenge. I’ll make them pay for what they took from me.
The last thing I need is a distraction.
But along comes Brynn, with her gorgeous eyes and delicious curves that beg me to take her now.
Poor darling’s never even ridden a motorcycle before. Or me, for that matter.
As a lawyer and a single mom, she lives a very different life than I do.
It's only supposed to be a one night fling after a silly fake-scary costume party.
But there's an actual menace on the loose and it looks like Brynn and her son are going to need me to stick around.
I don't do commitment, and Brynn has no idea what’s in store for her- physically or emotionally- if I decide to claim her as my own.
But then again, neither do I.
Their Protector is a full length standalone romance featuring a bad boy alpha male ex SEAL biker and the curvy heroine with whom he finds his happily ever after. There's no cheating and no cliffhangers but there sure is a lot of steam!
Juliana Conners writes romances you can get lost in, about addictive bad boys and the luscious, curvy ladies who win their hearts. She’s a part-time lawyer and full-time mom, who prefers to write whenever possible!
Juliana aims to live by the Omar Khayyam motto: “Be happy for this moment, for this moment is your life.” In addition to writing, she enjoys reading, traveling, skiing and listening to music… preferably all while in the company of her husband and their two young sons.
So I feel torn as to how I feel about this book. Some of it I loved and some of it not so much. The sex scenes are awesome but then the characters are so contradictory. One minute it's a sexy hookup and the next, it's all lifelong togetherness. By the end, I didn't hate it so I finished it and would probably not read it again but it was a quick read and the smuttiness was great, and I usually love what Juliana writes. This is my honest and unbiased review.
I am on the fence about this book. Some of it was good, some was ok, and some was just plain bad. I didn't feel any connection between the characters and there was absolutely no depth throughout the whole book.
This a great MC story about Larson and Bryan. Larson is an Ex Seal who has a dark past and runs on the other side of the law. He is friends with the Bradford Brothers from previous stories. Bryan is a single mom living in NY as a lawyer. She has been asked to attend a Halloween party of a wealthy client in Albuquerque, her home town and things happen to her boring life that are both good and bad. Bryan meets Larson and they go to the party and hit it off right away! The attraction and chemistry between them is beyond normal. The more we learn about Larson the more you feel for him and his past. This story has deceit, drama, suspense challenges of a distant relationship and the ability to overcome the obstacles for love. Can Larson keep his past from endangering his chance at a future with Bryan and her adorable little boy, Caleb? What Larson and the Bradford Brothers do to protect their woman and kids is what family does for one another. I loved how this story ends and hopefully we can read more about them when Blaze gets his story! Juliana does a wonderful job of telling a story about Larson and Bryan and including many characters from her previous stories. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Juliana Conners is a fantastic author and is up there in my list of favourite authors. When I see her name I know that I am in for an adventure with lust, passion, steamy hot sex and leading to a terrific HEA. This book is a remake with extensions of a prior story called Haunted Heart. Larson is a model hero - he's an ex SEAL, tall, handsome, quick witted, oozing charm, a bad boy alpha male member of a MC, a caring man who even is sweet with children and a fantastic lover. He meets Brynn at a fancy dress party and whilst there is oodles of chemistry between them there are also a great many miles between their homes too. But they know and feel their connection so miles are not going to prevent their HEA story! With twists that may have you biting your nails and passionate scenes to make you blush this story has it all and I encourage you to grab it asap and enjoy! The bonus books are well worth reading too but they didn't come with the arc and I read them via KU. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
This is a standalone story that has ties to the Bradford Brothers series. Brynn is a single mom with the cutest son ever, Caleb. She works long hours as a lawyer and doesn't get much adult time. One Halloween night, while finally getting a chance to let her hair down, she meets Larson. Larson is a tatted up, motorcycle riding veteran with a shady past. He is instantly attracted to her and her to him. They hit it off immediately, and their chemistry is hot! I really liked the two of them together, and Larson and Caleb's interactions were adorable. I loved their instant bond with each other. I read Larson when it was first released a year ago. Since Larson is no longer available, I used the same review I left at that time. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
This was a really good book by Juliana. I loved seeing a lot of the characters from The Bradford Brothers series in this one, I loved knowing what they were up to and what has happened since their stories. It was well written although there were parts that did fall a little flat for me. I really liked these characters but I would have loved to known more about them especially Larson and his past - about what happened in his life back then. It really annoyed me how weak Brynn was at times with how she let a lot of people walk all over her. By the end I loved how she stood up for herself with Larson by her side. I loved Larson especially when he was first introduced in the story, he was such a great character who had a very sweet side to him especially with Caleb. I thought Brynn and Larson were great together by the end

I loved how someone took the clown craze that hit the nation around Halloween a year or so back, and made it into a story. I’m also a sucker for MCs. However, I didn’t like how the H/h were more or less thinking of their libido over most things. I didn’t feel the love they had- for me it was more about lust and getting laid. Also, I didn’t like how they avoided big questions between each other until right before the I Love yous.
I also needed a little more club involvement. And lastly, I knew something would happen the moment the H/h decided once again to think of only their starving sex life and get a room, leaving her son in their friends care. That part would have been great- if they hadn’t just had a clown sighting earlier in the day. It felt like they were careless in Caleb’s well being so they could get laid.

I don't know exactly how I feel about this book. There were lots of good parts, and it was an overall great story. But, I didn't like, or think it made sense, that Larson was a manwhore after what happened, especially so soon after. It made me think less of the character and enjoy the book less than I would have otherwise. I also think it's odd that Brynn ends up working where she does considering the circumstances. I may not be understanding correctly, but from what I do understand, that is very very unlikely and just doesn't make a lot of sense. I like this author a lot, though, and I'll definitely read more of her books.
I really enjoyed parts of this....emphasis on parts....overall the book was very blah....I enjoyed both the characters and I actually liked the story more than the sex which it is usually the opposite however the sex was lame. I feel like if it was given a bit more attention it could have easily have been a 4 or 5 star book but when she is constantly telling him what he is doing....come on! How many times do you want to tell him he is coming in your pussy?? Pretty sure he knows...anyway I gave it 2 stars because of the story line and the potential to be awesome but also because overall it wasn't worth my time.
As a single mom Brynn wants a night of fun with her friends. Larson is the ex-military biker that her friends pair her up with. Even though Larson is not the typical guy she dates, the sparks fly and the attraction is real. But will the long distance relationship work? Will Larson be willing to take on a woman with a kid? This was an awesome read filled with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster, fabulous characters and a heartwarming ending. This book should not be missed. Once again Juliana Conners does not disappoint.
I had read Haunted Heart which is the first part of Larson, and this book gives us the ending to that story. She's a lawyer, he's a biker. They're on such different paths. And they live across the country from each other. How can they make this work? You'll need to find out by reading their story. I love that as wild as Larson is, he's patient and good with Brynn's son, Caleb. From the moment they meet they can feel the mutual attraction humming. But in order to stay together, they'll need to work through some obstacles. Great way to wrap up the Haunted Heart novella!
Julianna Conners has done it again! This amazing full length novel that combines sexy and scary into one of the best romantic suspense novels I've reread to date. This was a very steamy read. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. Larson is a great man who you can help falling in love with. Caleb is a wonderful little boy that goes right through your heart. It was an exciting action and I could not wait to read what would happen. It never became boring so much was happening. It was a sweet story that certainly can be recommended to all.
It has a good storyline. A lot of potential. But lacking. Start with i felt like i read the same chapter multiple times. The revelation Larson announces to Brynn is done in two or three chapters. The smut scenes were childish. Brynn was immature and idiotic. For being a lawyer she was stupid. Larson was just not what i expected for a Seal biker bad boy. He was too mushy all the time and both characters were lacking. I feel disappointed due to all the potential this story had.
I have mixed feelings about this story.. i love the plot!! like who wouldn't love a Ex-Seal/MC Biker guy? like every couple it isnt all sunshine and puppies!! which is great!! i just wish Lawson fought harder for his woman.. when they had that fight.. like she tried.. he just gave up and once they saw eachother again? all is forgiven?
one thing that had me.. alil turned off.. the giving his new girl his dead wife's ring.. like i get it.. its his past.. but i think thats a little gross..
As for the sex scenes.. some were just.. to rushed? and other times it was perfect!!

Fell in love with Larson, loved that there was a cross over with Jensen, Harlow and Ramsey. Larson thinks he’s a player but as soon as Brynn crosses his path he’s a giant puppy dog. Brynn works too damn hard and finally realizes it when it might be too late. This is a must read, and I know you will love Larson and Brynn’s HEA.
Nothing much to say. I LOVED IT! As always Juliana Conners nails her stories. I like it a lot. The main characters are likeable and the chemistry is over the top. I just need a bit more depth to Larson but else the characters are well described and develops nicely. It has angst and hot scenes.

Almost a perfect read, almost. I was into every word right down to the last chapter. I had the bad guy picked out! The drama and the way that the author pulled you into the intrigue, loved it. Then you gave the proposal. His dead wife's right! REALLY!!! The puzzling fact is that Brynn accepts it lovingly? LOST ME right there.
Our jobs to often reflect into our personnel lives, that we forget how to live. The prestige of someone's title, tends to dictate how we live day to day. Strip away ones exterior and inside we all need water, food and love, in Order to be alive. Thanks for keeping awake reading, but it was difficult to put down.
It was only supposed to be one hot night. Feelings happened, circumstances change, and misunderstandings abound. A single mom has to be careful, but there can be such a thing as too careful and too career-oriented if you want to try to have a relationship. This story contains characters from the Bradford Brothers series.
The characters in this book are perfect. It has a great storyline that pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me hooked all the way through to the end. It is a sweet and emotional read that will make you laugh and cry. This is the fourth book in this serie, before this comes The Bradford brothers but they are all standalone books with no cliffhangers. I highly recomend this book/serie.
I love a good holiday themed story! This had some scariness and heat. Larson is super sexy but also funny and sweet. And Clay is a creep. The star of the show is Caleb, though= Brynn’s son. ADORABLE. Loved this so much.
This book is was originally released as Larson last year, but it has extras the original didn’t have. Brynn and Larson are great, all the Bradford’s stop in, and Caleb, so adorable! Awesome read! Enjoy!!!
Wow. This book was amazing. I couldn't put it down.
Brynn is back in town for Halloween and she meets up with Larson. What should have been an one night stand becomes more when they connect on several levels. Brynn is a single mother with a very demanding job. Larson is a protector. His Motorcycle Club keeps their town safe. He takes a trip to New York City where they meet up again and have a perfect 24 hours before work calls her in. After some misunderstandings, can they find their way back to each other
Can't wait to read the other books in this series.
I loved Lawson and Brynn and little Caleb!! They are such a great couple and make a great family!! Brynn helped heal Lawson and make him happy and lets him know he deserves to be happy!! I would recommend this book to everyone!!
A fast-paced, suspenseful read full of action, danger, secrets, heat and wonderful characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
