Road Kill 2 is a tantalizing, terrifying mix of short stories based in Texas. A common theme, besides all being set in Texas, is being in the wrong place at the wrong time and karma. In this review, I have selected just a few to mention but I can guarantee you will be scared out of your pants!
As seen in “The Back Forty” by S. Kay Nash, The Sheriff, Jim Hollis finds himself in a DEA hosted drug raid where all turns out well … until Mr. Thompson decides to teach him a lesson. In “Cemetery Games” by Keith West, Greg finds that the sins of the father come back to haunt him with some horrifying results! Dennis Pitts’ “The Road Trip” is enough to scare people from traveling beyond their living room!
With seventeen authors penning seventeen of the most terrifying, mind-numbing horror stories one cannot help but sleep with the lights on after reading this amazing collection. Each story is well written and complete with fully developed characters and detailed instances. It is frightening to know that these creative minds are out there and they know how to successfully get into the minds of their readers!
Thoroughly loved each and every story! A must-read for anyone who loves horror!
This was effectively all 2s or 10s. It was definitely more scary horror driven than Vol. 1, however several of the stories we just tried and tired cliches and half thought out ideas. But the ones they cooked were really really amazing and terrifying.
