Bear Creek Saddle #2

Bear Creek Saddle Cowboy

A young woman escapes an abusive relationship in NYC, determined to find her independence in the beautiful mountains of north Idaho…until a handsome rancher reaches out to her, and she finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about relationships and faith.

When Megan Moore leaves New York City to live in the country — far away from the crowds, the traffic, and a controlling ex-fiancé — she finds herself way over her head in the mountains of rural northern Idaho.

Zach Walker runs a cattle ranch with his friends in small-town Bear Creek Saddle. It’s not every day a beautiful woman falls into his life — and he’s been looking for a wife. He just had no idea the exact opposite of the traditional-type cowgirl he thought he wanted would end up needing his help. What’s a red-blooded man to do when he can’t get his mind off the wrong woman?

As for Megan, she can’t let her growing friendship with the handsome, guitar-strumming cowboy put her at risk for getting into a smothering relationship again. She came to Bear Creek Saddle to prove to herself she could make it on her own—certainly without any help from a rancher. But Zach’s solid faith inspires Megan as she works to change her life.
Megan doesn’t know anything about country life, so if she’s going to make it on her own in Idaho, she’ll need to learn fast.

Zach is willing to show her the ropes. Especially when he realizes Megan just might be the wife he’s looking for, after all—and that sometimes, God puts a man and a woman into each other’s lives for a reason…

Shoshanna Gabriel was previously known as Shoshanna Evers, a NY Times and USA Today bestselling author who wrote over
twenty-plus secular romance novels and novellas from 2009-2015. At the end of 2015, after much thought and prayer, Shoshanna changed her life and career path completely,
giving up a new six-book contract and literary agent for the privilege of writing for God's glory as Shoshanna Gabriel.

No one expected a Jewish erotic romance author from New York to move to the country and find Jesus, least of all Shoshanna herself--but God has a sense of humor, and that's what happened.

She took 2016 off from publishing to raise her new boy/girl twins, and started writing sweet Christian inspirational cowboy romance novels set in north Idaho, where she lives with her husband, homeschools their three kids, wrangles three big dogs named after flowers, and takes in the wonder of the incredible evergreen-covered mountain landscape.
For a detailed explanation of this big change, read her blog post “Saying Goodbye to Erotic Romance" at bitly.com/GoodbyeErotica

While published as Shoshanna Evers, Amazon had listed her as one of the “Most Popular Authors in Romance,” as well as one of the “Most Popular Authors in Contemporary Romance”. Reviewers have said Shoshanna has “…beautiful writing, and a truly imaginative and wonderfully descriptive storyline” (Night Owl Reviews) with stories where “the plot is fresh and the pacing excellent, the emotions…real and poignant.” (The Romance Studio).
She hopes to bring the gift of storytelling that God blessed her with to her new inspirational books written under the Gabriel name.

A friend of mine on Goodreads whose blog I follow, recommended this book to me based on my reading history. I got in contact with the author and received a copy to read. I am very glad I did. This is a romance with a christian base, that shows the power of prayer, love and the human spirit.

When Megan flees an abusive relationship, she picks Bear Creek Saddle Idaho to start over. She saw a picture of it once and fell in love with the peacefulness. Unfortunately, the city girl has no idea what it is like to live and camp in the forests of the wild mountains and finds herself in trouble. Zach, a cowboy and partner with some friends at the local ranch, comes to her rescue. When her abusive boyfriend tracks her down and show up in Idaho, the truth of her past emerges. Can she move on from those revelations? Will she end up back with Troy who verbally and mentally abuses and controls her? Will love win out? A very good story with great writing.

Shoshanna Gabriel used to write Erotic best sellers under the name Shoshanna Evers. After becoming a Christian, she was unable to write that type of story. Her skills as an author have not changed, just her genre. This is not a long book, but the plot and characters are well fleshed out. There is humour in the story as well as angst and love. If you enjoy a clean romance, pick this book up, you will enjoy it. I am now going back and reading the first one. This book however, can be read as a standalone.

I borrowed Bear Creek Saddle Cowboy from the Kindle Unlimited program.

Megan Moore takes a big chance when she leaves her life in New York City behind and drives across country to start over in Bear Creek Saddle, Idaho close the Canadian border. The first night she camps in her new tent after starting her first fire and cooking canned pasta for her dinner. She has no idea she is in bear country and a small plastic bag for her left overs will attract bears. Zach Walker a local rancher is out hiking when he first find her litter covered campsite and then hears a bear nearby and goes to wake Megan.

This starts with a bloody nose for Zach, a forced rescue and her broken down car until Zach takes her to his ranch. The romance is slow to build and full of Christian values as Meg finds her way to becoming an independent woman. She also is still dealing with her abusive and manipulative ex-boyfriend and his mind games to bring down her confidence.

I loved the Zach always believed in her ability to learn and he supported her with no wish to control her except to keep her safe from a bear. Bear Creek Saddle Cowboy is a sweet and wonderful Christian romance.

Very inspiring and heartwarming. A wholesome love that shows you can find romance the way it was intended by God. It had some angst that was necessary to show strength. I loved it! Book gifted to me.

Beautiful

Wow! Talk about a beautiful story. This is it. It's marvelously written, a great storyline, very memorable characters. It's clean so everyone can enjoy. It's Christian storytelling at it's best. This is the second book I've read by this author. The first in this genre. She hasn't lost her touch, just enhanced the gift the Lord has given her to share with us. I loved this and am looking forward to more.

Bear Creek Saddle Cowboy is the second book in The Bear Creek Saddle series. It is a Christian-based romance. When Megan flees an abusive relationship, she thinks back to pictures she saw and fell in love with and heads to Bear Creek Saddle, Idaho, a place far away from the city and crowds. But having no experience living in the woods, she finds herself in trouble. A local rancher comes to her rescue. Zach has been looking for a wife, and Megan kind of falls into his lap. But she isn't exactly what he was originally looking for. Will Megan be able to trust Zach to help her? Will Zach find that Megan is exactly the one he was intended to find? This story was interesting. Definitely worth picking up!

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway, and this is my honest review. This was the first book that I have read by Shoshanna Gabriel and I plan on reading more. Zach is a young cowboy who owns a ranch in Idaho. Megan ran away from an abusive relationship with a guy in New York. She picked Bear Creek Saddle, Idaho as the place to settle down after seeing a picture of the beautiful country. After a disastrous attempt at camping in the mountains, she is rescued by Zach. He realizes God has provided the girl he wants to marry, but Megan needs time to become an independent woman. Will they each get what they are looking for? You will have to read the book to find out. There is no cliffhanger. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book. Easy to read and great story. The author explains why she changed from steamy sexy books to more religious ones and i really liked her honesty. I know nowadays it’s easier to sell something non religious but she had courage to take a loss for writing what she felt was right! I admire you! I recommend reading it, you will not put it down!

I thought this was refreshing. A young girl escapes an abusive relationship, and strikes out on her own. She is determined to be self sufficient, and not rely on anyone else. There are a lot of funny mishaps while she is learning, but she finds God, and begins to find herself. It was a really heartwarming tale.
I won this book in a goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

This is a sweet clean romance. Both main characters seemed very young to me and a bit unrealistic. But it was entertaining and enjoyable.

What a fantastic story of starting over! I simply adored Zach and Megan. Their story was about making mistakes and finding your way back. Learning to trust yourself and Gods plan for your life. Did I enjoy this? Absolutely! Am I anxiously awaiting Eric’s story? You betcha! ;)
