The Omnic Crisis brought ruin to the Australian Outback. Roadhog knows this better than most. He’s seen it descend into an apocalyptic wasteland. Everything he once knew has been broken down, irradiated, or scrapped. Now all that’s left is Junkertown, the place that hermits, scavengers, brutes, and killers call home. Roadhog hasn’t put it out of its misery. Not yet. But he’s been tempted…

Cool issue with road hog saving junk rat in junkertown, the dialogue was pretty funny and well... Who doesn’t like roadhog and junkrat. But the start of the issue was pretty boring

Great comic about Mako(roadhog) and his trek back to junkertown. Once there he finds junkrat, and together they come out of junkertown, now partners again.

Roadhog is just living his life out in the Australian outback. Farming? I don’t know what he is doing other than protecting his land from theft. Unfortunately for some thieves they decide to push their luck and it pushes back one fateful night. They lose all their scrap and all their money in a desperate bid to escape.

Roadhog takes the scrap and money into the local town to get supplies. And while in town runs into Junkrat who ropes him into trouble.

As with all the other Overwatch comics, the writing and artistry is well done. Blizzard didn’t skimp out here. This comic at least has its story more or less wrapped up by the end which I can’t say happens with many of these short comics.

DRM, -1.

Since all of the Overtwatch comics are about 10 pages long I'll only be doing mini reviews for them.

Wasteland is tied to the new Junkertown map, and the short Junkertown: The Plan. However, unlike those it actually gives us more of a story, in this case, how the two Junkers met. As someone who wasn't a fan of the Junkertown short, I was really happy Blizzard released this comic. Now I just need the map to be released on all platforms.

So this is how these two met.

We get into part of the backstory of the war. We see what’s left of part of Australia, I guess due to the dialogue, and how it’s become a Mad Max-like place in the new city of Junkertown.

Interesting way to make compelling a character with hideous design and that doesn’t talk that much.

Junkertown: Wasted Land

Set in the Australian Outback.

The vagabonds attempt to rob Ol’ Ducky.

They want Ducky’s materials to scrap.

Why does he wear a gas mask? Couldn’t tell ya. And other people call him “Mako,” so it’s all a bit confusing.

Odd story.

Ducky/Mako makes a new friend after a pub fight.

And apparently the Queen doesn’t like him—whoever the hell that is.

I always enjoy these. There's nothing particularly spectacular about them, but if you enjoy Overwatch you'll enjoy these comic shorts.

I like that they are making the comics animated and with sound now. Definitely a new experience.

It’s a short Junker comic about how Roadhogg and Junkrat teamed up. Hardly anything of substance here and I find that I can’t make myself care about the pair. Art is alright, very atmospheric with the orange undertones but at the end of the day it’s a Junker comic.

Crossposted from Amazon:

I didn't expect to feel things about Roadhog. I didn't expect to find the kind of depth to his story that's here, but what do I know? It's great, giving insight into how he met Junkrat and the basis of their friendship. Love it.

Still Good

Still good, quality never seems to slip much if at all between comics. As per usually the art is nice.
