Sienna Blake has quickly become a one click author for me! Her stories are written so well that once you pick up one of her books, you can’t stop till you are done. They flow without a hitch and have the perfect mix of a great story, twist and turns and a few what the heck moments.
Beautiful Revenge is no exception! I picked this book up and didn’t put it down till I finished devouring the entire book. What a ride this one was!
Alena Ivanova and Dimitri Volkov are young and barely surviving in Russia. The two are barely surviving. Hoping to find a way to a better life. Hoping to someday ‘make it’ in this big big world. But with hunger, with being cold, with having little to no money, people are forced to do things they normally wouldn’t think to do.
I’m a fish on a hook being dragged ever closer to the surface, while I struggle to remain in the murky depths where my heart and my secrets lay like sunken treasures.
Years have past and neither have forgotten about each other. Their love for each other. The hurt they caused each other. The words spoken that can not be taken back. They have so many strikes against each other. But what is hidden deep inside, is the love they still feel for each other.
How can a full belly be satisfying if my soul is left hungry.
What a roller-coaster ride this book was! Once again, Sienna nailed it with this emotional story of Love, Hate, Revenge. Although this is a standalone book, there will be more to come!!!

I found Sienna with Dark Romeo series and was enamoured by her acute insight of heartbreak and yearning. Very adept at painting a picture with her words, her stories leave an indelible mark on my heart.
This story is as ancient and as modern as you'd like it to be
From the Magnificinet city of st.Petersburg to fog laden moors of English countryside, the story journeys from squalor to luxury , love to revenge and promises to bitterness in a sweep .
If there was a theme song for this very ambitious story, it'd be Endless Love

Sienna revives the good old tale of hate filled love.
Dimitri Volkov "Wolf" is a lover scorned so bad, he burns like coalfire within. When it subsumes his entire existence, he throws the embers all around him and sets the world on fire . In his goal to exact revenge upon his love & nemesis -Alena Ivanova, he becomes a ruthless wolf whose only mission in life is to hunt and destroy everything and everybody who's wronged him, shattered him and left him soulless . He's on a warpath, leaving a trail of destruction behind him.
I was hurting with Dimitri, I couldn't bear to watch his heart break , time and time again. I wanted to soothe his heart, wipe his tears, and Chase away his sorrow. The story made me cry at his raw pain & anguish
The soul of the story is pretty cynical in its mood . Sienna writes with lot of heart and does whole justice to characterisation. Alena may attract lot of hatred due to her selfish nature, but you have to remember she's a young girl with hopes of better life, better dreams.
I don’t want to starve anymore. I don’t want to freeze. I want a better life. More than anything. I want it so bad it hurts. I want it so bad I can taste it.
I live in the clouds, that my dreams are held together with wax. It will melt one day and I’ll come crashing down to the earth like Icarus.
She loves Dimitri but frustration seeps in at their state of affairs and in their stubborn pride they go about breaking each other's hearts . Their environment is the true villain of the story which drives them to desperate measures.

A heartwrenching and Frustrating ride , i wanted to jump in the pages so many times.
The music on their vinyl record player is till echoing in my ears. I'm still dancing with them, I'm also sliding on the floor with them. I'm hurling cuss words and burning with restrained passion with them. And I'm completely, utterly, deeply in love with them .
It's a must read , fabulous story , very well written, the one that will stay in your heart for days

Five years I have waited. Five years I have planned.
Five years I have worked towards this moment.
Now I am treading the first steps down destiny's path. The path that she set me on all those years ago.
Revenge. A dish best served cold.
I absolutely DEVOURED this book. I lost sleep over this book. I almost nixed my morning workout to continue reading this book (which is HUGE for me). I think I even dreamt about this book. I was a madwoman possessed as this book was just that captivating.
In seeking Heaven, I reached too far. I flew too high with wings made of wax. Now I've fallen. I have ruined us both.
This book tells the tragic and heartbreaking love story of Dimitri and Alena. It begins with both characters young, in love, but struggling to support themselves. They have dreams of one day moving to America, but they are barely earning enough to feed themselves. When Alena meets Isabelle, she finally finds a way out of their dire situation. Isabelle offers Alena a life in which she will never go hungry or want for anything, and in exchange Alena will have to marry and provide an heir for a wealthy businessman. Alena sees this opportunity as their salvation, willing to sacrifice her body for a secure future for them both, while Dimitri sees this as the ultimate betrayal. Hurtful, nasty words are exchanged between them, misunderstandings and remorse build up, and they walk away from each other into lives neither wanted.
"You shattered my heart five years ago, Alena, you ripped my soul into pieces. Your suffering is all I care for."
Five years later, Alena is in a loveless and abusive marriage. While it's true she has never wanted for material possessions, her soul is broken and starved--her only saving grace is her husband's daughter Emily, who she views more as her sister. One day, her husband announces that a wealthy investor who he hopes to make a deal with is coming to live with them for a time. This American investor, Mr. Wolf, turns out to be Dimitri who is nothing like Alena remembers. He is cold, arrogant, and brutal, and is hellbent on destroying Alena's life and making her suffer just as she did to him all those years ago.
"You will regret the day you left me."
And it's this part of the novel that truly and wholly captured my soul for a time. Watching their interactions was incredible as there was nothing beautiful about them and the revenge wasn't as sweet as Dimitri thought it would be. Both characters were so self-destructive and neither were perfect. Every time I thought that Dimitri had finally seen the light and was willing to admit his true feelings for Alena, he would turn around and do something even more reprehensible than before, breaking down Alena's spirit piece by piece.
"Don't fight so hard for the revenge that you lose everything you need to be happy."
But for the life of me I could not stop reading. For the majority of this novel, the story is not easy or happy or heartwarming. It's dark and twisted, but oh so captivating and worth the read. The characters are hard to like, but also hard NOT to like and to feel sympathy for. I am so happy that I finally moved this one off of my tbr list and finished it! I'd recommend this to readers who aren't opposed to dark romances and who aren't afraid of imperfect characters. The story itself wasn't perfect either (the writing comes off as choppy at times), but I'm giving it 5 stars because I was completely and emotionally invested in it.

In the beginning they are both struggling to survive, no one but each-other. And are forced to make sacrifices that will break both their hearts.
Several years have passed, and neither Alena nor Dimitri have forgotten about their tragic love. But that love caused so much pain, and heartbreak all that is left is hate...... Both are struggling yet again to survive. Alena is trapped in a loveless marriage, and Dimitri trying to keep himself afloat.

With A Beautiful Revenge, Sienna Blake gives readers an emotional and angst-fueled story that will stay with them long after finishing. Dimitri and Alena's tale was a tumultuous and heartbreaking journey that had me completely engrossed the whole way through. Blake's flawless writing style combined with a fantastic storyline and a unique premise made this story an unforgettable one.

Dimitri and Alena had the odds stacked against them from the very beginning, and I love the way the author laid out the storyline to show this. They were two people who were born to unfair circumstances and strived for more. We see them as a young couple and then again years later after circumstances tore them apart. They each struggled in their own way, with Alena trapped in a loveless marriage, and Dimitri striving to dig himself out of the depths of poverty. Through the dual POV, the author did a superb job in bringing to life both characters' feelings. I felt Dimitri's inner struggle, as he battled between his need for revenge and his undying feelings for Alena. At the same time, I felt Alena's heartbreak as she dealt with the fallout of a life-altering decision she made when she was so young.

The storyline was well-paced and engaging, with some unexpected turns that had me unsure how things would end. This book had potential for massive angst but it couldn’t overcome the annoying, nonsensical, absurd actions of its Mc’s.
Alena is possibly the stupidest character I’ve ever read. She played the victim even though she set everything in motion. Who could blame him for leaving? It was hard to feel sorry for her.
This is a retelling of Wuthering Heights without the sad ending, but it could’ve been so much better without:
🙂↔️The whiplash the MC’s indecisions and waffling gave me
😐The doormat, idiot h who was basically dependent on a man in every way her whole life and somehow forgives/absolves her ex who physically and mentally abused her
🤡The h’s victim mentality even though she directly caused every single problem she incurred. She blames the wrong person, the H for all of her problems.
🤮The OW drama with HER OWN STEPDAUGHTER
🤬The one and only sex scene with Demi where he takes her from behind and hate ruts her. What a let down! Also that’s reminiscent of the way her abusive husband rutted her (only other on-page smex scene!!!), so!? All of the other ones fade to black.
Bottom line: Read this if you want a frustrating soap opera and love to hate the MC’s because they have the emotional maturity of a 🥔.

I liked it. This is a very intense and dark romance, a well written tale of raw love and wrong decisions that can rip two soulmates apart. The characters are likeable, specially Alena. My only issue was the repetitive: I love you...I hate you..I love you... all over the book. But it was a good read and I liked the ending a lot.

This is just…not good. It’s redundant, the same scene in different fonts for entirely too many pages. The revenge plot is weak and the character’s forgiveness and excusal of an abusive husband is gross. It also doesn’t help that neither MC is likable.

Sienna Blake delivers…again. She gives us intense, complex characters is a horrible situation who make bad choices. Dimitri and Alena are young and desperately poor but so intensely in love. When they meet again five years later they struggle back and forth with the love that lingers and all the hate and hurt from the decisions made before. Every time one of them takes a step in the right direction, the other backs up.
Blake writes it all in a way that grabs the reader and takes them along for the ride. I liked Dimi and Alena a lot and so wanted them to get their happily ever after. Blake gives me hope that a love that strong can exist and overcome enormous obstacles.

After so many DNF this week and book with two and three stars i needed book who will capture me from the first page and not let me go till the last page.Beautiful revenge is that book for me,i loved it from the first page,i was captured by the writing and Dimitri and Alana love story.They broke my hert with their decisionS but then in the end i 'm so glad about their HEA.
THE STORY
Dimitri and Alana lives in ST.Petresburg ,Russia ,he is 19 year old and she is only 15,they fell in love from the first time they see each other.Both come from poverty ,Dimitri is good with numbers and he is working in one company,ALana is finishing her school and together with Dimtri they dream about better life in America.But in Russian the winters are colder and when you don't have money for food or warm home and with one stupid mistake from Alana,she changed their lives forever.She agree to marry Englishman for money,she will give him heir and after that she think Dimitri and her can have better life,when Dimitri find out he out of his mind.He is furious with her and begging her to not marry the Englishman instead to marry him.In fury they exchange spiteful words and the next day when Alana knows she made mistake she go after him to say him that he is right,she can't marry someone,only Dimitri but he is gone.Five years later Alana is in loveless,disrespectful marriage,she is suffering and regretting her decision every single day.The only bright side in this is her friend Emily,Edgar daughter.One day when she is never expecting Dimitri is showing u again her life,but this time he is rich investor and he wants to invest in her husband company and he want to destroy her just like she destroy him.
But the line between hate and love is thin.
And when passion and fury for all the lost years start to explode.The love is the only answer.
Overall amazing book,with so many emotion you will feel their pain,their suffering but in the end is all worthed.Do yourself favor buy this book.

After so many DNF this week and book with two and three stars i needed book who will capture me from the first page and not let me go till the last page.Beautiful revenge is that book for me,i loved it from the first page,i was captured by the writing and Dimitri and Alana love story.They broke my hert with their decisionS but then in the end i 'm so glad about their HEA.

Dimitri and Alana lives in ST.Petresburg ,Russia ,he is 19 year old and she is only 15,they fell in love from the first time they see each other.Both come from poverty ,Dimitri is good with numbers and he is working in one company,ALana is finishing her school and together with Dimtri they dream about better life in America.But in Russian the winters are colder and when you don't have money for food or warm home and with one stupid mistake from Alana,she changed their lives forever.She agree to marry Englishman for money,she will give him heir and after that she think Dimitri and her can have better life,when Dimitri find out he out of his mind.He is furious with her and begging her to not marry the Englishman instead to marry him.In fury they exchange spiteful words and the next day when Alana knows she made mistake she go after him to say him that he is right,she can't marry someone,only Dimitri but he is gone.Five years later Alana is in loveless,disrespectful marriage,she is suffering and regretting her decision every single day.The only bright side in this is her friend Emily,Edgar daughter.One day when she is never expecting Dimitri is showing u again her life,but this time he is rich investor and he wants to invest in her husband company and he want to destroy her just like she destroy him.
But the line between hate and love is thin.

Overall amazing book,with so many emotion you will feel their pain,their suffering but in the end is all worthed.Do yourself favor buy this book.

Wow, what a perfect roller coaster of a book. So much reverence. So much strength. So much emotion packed with amazing storytelling that made me delirious. I was completely indulged. I was completely mesmerized by the deep and explosive spiral this book gave me. I was simply in awe. Wow, my mind was led down in a path that completely set it on fire. THIS BOOK WAS FREAKING BEAUTIFUL TO READ. Written by a new to me author, Beautiful Revenge told such a dark and mysterious story that made me fall in love with it.
Beautiful Revenge was an interesting story that surprised me a lot. I thought I would figure out the story but no, I was given many facets of the book that took it to another level. What can I say, I was really blown away but delicate and wicked nature in the story that caught my soul and gripped it. I loved every single thing about this. Sienna Blake really impressed me. Her writing so full, vivid and effervescent that I was completely captured. She delivered an angsty, intense and twisty story so well written that I swam in this phenomenal literary perfection. However they were certain parts I needed a bit more darkness. But all in all, I really enjoyed reading Beautiful Revenge.
Wow, Dimitri and Alena are a powerful couple with so much love and emotions that raged and just gave the story so much dynamic. Alena was a strong woman but still held on to a past that completely broke her. She was a broken woman but she had fire in her that made me like her a lot. Dimitri, omg, I swooned. Plagued by vengeance in his mind, he was an alpha who was dark and commanding. He had on a cruel and dominating armor that made me drool.
Sienna truly impressed me and I will definitely will be reading her books more. Her writing had the power to pull me in and leave me truly crazy in love.

There is nothing like a good revenge love story all that pent up emotion and hatred bubbling under the surface.
Sometimes love isn’t pretty especially when it all falls apart. The author did a good job of telling the story of young lovers ripped apart who meet years later under difficult circumstances.

Writing was bad. She like kinda blamed him for most of their fight which I personally disagree with coz like she was the one literally selling herself?? The plot went off track around 40 chapters in. And why tf is she on good terms with her abuser?? Why did she come to a realisation that her husband was not the villain of her story when he definitely was?? Why did she get mad when Dimitri stole her abusers wealth?? And why tf is Emily so annoying?? Hated it. Would not recommend

So the guy that bought her at 16 to marry him and give him a son and that slapped her after her miscarriages is forgiven..? He loses all his money and hero helps him gain it back 🤦♀️ The book had potential but wow those parts were just stupid.

This book is absolutely wonderful!
This book tugged at my heart strings, and made me feel strong feelings for both Dimitri and Alena. I could feel the pain and indecision between the two, not without wanting to shout at them to get their senses about them and just be together.
I loved this book so much! If I could live in it, I would, and keep Javier as my friend forever and ever.

Beautiful Revenge is a story about love, revenge, and second or perhaps third chances. This book will touch you, deep into your soul!
You know there's a saying that says and I quote, "If you LOVE someone, you need to let them go, if they return to you it was meant to be if they don't, they were really never yours." That's what I experience in this book and Sienna Blake couldn't put it any better than this! Her writing is BEAUTIFUL and intense she makes you feel every emotion and for me, that's what makes a story BEAUTIFUL.
Dimitri Volcov is my favorite character in this book, I connected with him on so many levels, he made me experience hatred, loyalty, and love all at the same time. How is that even possible? Sienna made that possible. Dimitri is a dreamer, overachiever and he worked hard to get to where he is now.
He was a young man with so many dreams. Trying his best to have a job that'll pay enough for him and Alena to have a warm and nice place to call home but sometimes that's not enough for someone to stay right?

Alena Ivanova is a sweet, caring, sassy woman that would show you her ways of surviving. She's smart but she made a huge mistake that ruined her dreams of a happily ever after. I understand and admire the way she managed to stay alive, even though to get to the top sometimes you have to sacrifice something or someone.
She was young, hungry, and wanted to feel the warmth of a home and yes she received everything she ever wanted but there was ALWAYS something-someone missing.
“You and I have met two very different men,” I can’t help but say. Javier places a hand on my arm, his face turning serious. “Please, go easy on him, Alena. If he is cruel, it is only because he is hurting. He is not as strong as he looks.”
Overall I love everything about this book and for the love of God I couldn't find it in me to hate Dimitri, I understand every emotion he went through. In my eyes, Alena will always be a strong heroine. I recommend you all read this book! If you haven't had the pleasure to read one of Sienna Blakes book this a must read and you'll not be disappointed.

This is my first Sienna Blake book and I absolutely loved it! And I’m extremely excited to start reading the rest of her books
Her writing is so amazingly good ; she takes you deep into the book, and you don’t come up for air before the so called “END”.
This book was so dark and full of love, if that even makes sense.
Summary:
In the cold streets of Russia, Alena and Dimitri lived in a cramped studio apartment that was never warm, and never had enough food. But they had each other and that was enough until Alena made the biggest mistake of her life, and she didn’t realize it until it was too late.
“What sapphires can please me more than Dimitri’s eyes? What symphony as rich as his laughter? What finest silk could compare to being wrapped in his arms?”
Five years Dimitri had only one goal ‘His revenge’, he was full of anger and hurt and he would never rest until he saw Alena’s life crash down around her just his did five years ago.
“You filled me so full of bitter hatred, it is all that I taste. It’s all I breathe.”
Now he’s back as Mr. Wolf the mysterious millionaire who would invest in her husband’s company. The moment she laid eyes on him she knew he wasn’t the same man she always loved; there was coldness in his eyes.

I loved how this book revolved around the idea of forgiving, how even when you are so hurt and you think you are full of hate, love can always find its way back to your heart.
Also the thought that Alena and Dimitri were able to make their dreams come true! It gave me hope that I can make my dream come true, that’s it is not always as hard as it seems. And the most overwhelming fact that you don’t always need money to be happy, that as long as you have people you love around you and they are safe and well you will feel that your world is complete.
Gotta love a book who leaves you some positive vibes, yeah?

The character development is just so amazingly written, I went with Alena right from the beginning of the book and her weakness until she became stronger, she tried with everything in her and became the perfect independent heroine.

And the most overwhelming fact that you don’t always need money to be happy, that as long as you have people you love around you and they are safe and well you will feel that your world is complete.

The character development is just so amazingly written, I went with Alena right from the beginning of the book and her weakness until she became stronger, she tried with everything in her and became the perfect independent heroine.
And Dimitri...
Oh god how sexy he was ! I can’t even put it into words. he’s perfection despite his cruelty and coldness. He's definitely my current book bf!

This book was so near perfection, it had just the right mix of pain, angst, love, and healing. I have a love/hate relationship with epilogues and this book is the perfect example of why. I can appreciate it for what it was, but I think it belied the intense emotion of the rest of the book.
There were moments in Beautiful Revenge where the writing was pure perfection. Where the prose was so beautifully illustrative I had to step back for a minute and just let myself revel in the elegance of those passages. Those glimpses of genius are why I fell in love with Sienna Blake’s writing in Paper Dolls and why I will keep reading her books in the future.
I was particularly fond of the settings of this book, both the St. Petersburg winter in the past and the foggy moors of northern England, they were so well described I could feel the dark, wet, coldness of them while I was reading. That made the experience of the bitter, cold revenge Dimitri was serving that much more poignant.
While the backdrop for this story was very dark, and I have no doubt Alena and Dimitri had more darkness in their childhoods than I’d care to think about, the story itself wasn’t as dark as I thought it might be. While the characters were continually finding new ways to hurt each other, it felt more like they were protecting themselves from repeatedly experiencing the type pain that can only be dealt by the people they most cared for.
Dimitri and Alena both had lovely character arcs in this book. Dimitri, in particular, grew and changed profoundly with his circumstances, it was lovely to see him come to terms with the things he believed and what had actually happened. Alena’s arc was entirely different than Dimitri’s. While she did change in small ways, and for a while the core of who she was suppressed, she mostly remained the same girl who believed in hope beyond all else. Even when everything around her was shattering, she still found some glimmer of a better future guide her.
There were a few things I wished were touched on more, particularly the trauma that Alena experienced in the beginning of the book and more of Alena and Dimitri’s childhoods, but all in all I was very happy with this book. I wish I had stopped reading before the epilogue, as I didn’t feel it added to the book but rather detracted from its poignancy. I’ve never been an epilogue girl, though, as I like my books to have a little ambiguity in the end.
This was a beautiful book. An elaborate drama based on hasty words, misunderstandings, and rash decisions. It pulled on the kind of pain we all fear, that of losing the ones we most love. In that way, it was relatable, which made the extreme circumstances the characters experienced much easier to understand because that type of hurt transcends money. The world constructed was beautiful and dark and I hope the rest of the books in this series follow with the same tone and setting.

I have read quite a few of Sienna's books by now and as you may know I was lucky to review her Dark Romeo Trilogy over the summer (highly recommended BTW!); and she has a way about her writing and characters digging into deep and often dark emotions.
I knew Beautiful Revenge was going to be mind blowing and I was certainly not disappointed!
This is Dimi and Alena's story!
It's tragic!!
It was pain and heartbreak from the beginning and my heart was broken along with Dimi and Alena... I know it is bad, when I get all choked up and even teary; this is what happened with certain parts of the book and I need to bow to the mistress here because Sienna does it every single time.
Honestly, with the name of the book being Beautiful Revenge, I knew it was not going to be lighthearted and fun. As much as I love lighthearted and fun, there is something to be said about darker books. And Sienna makes them perfectly!

There is such a balance, bits and pieces of lightness amid the incredible drama and characters that pretty much leap out of the page. I have read lots and lots of books in my life and there are very few characters that accomplish so much in terms of drawing you in, making you feel what they feel and pretty much hold you by the heart and the guts!
I was thinking about it, and I can see things from Alena's PoV and same goes with Dimi... I could not pick a side to save my life!
You know I do not like to give too much away from the story, so in this case I will really give nothing more than what I have already said, but you have to know that I would not be expanding so much here if I was not head over heels in love with Beautiful Revenge.
If I am not mistaken this book is a standalone and yet part of a series, so I am not sure what the next book is about and between us I cannot wait!
So there you have it, I am HIGHLY recommending Beautiful Revenge and also encouraging you to explore Sienna's other books as well cause they are amazing! I hope you love it as much as I did!

Beautiful Revenge is yet another heartfelt love story from this author. Love versus comfort. A single mistake that destroys the most precious sentiment.
Dimitri is a young junior accountant who excels in figure work. He lives in poverty and has big dreams.
Alena is a student who has been abandoned. She too has her dreams, but the strain of poverty is taking its toll. Life in a cold and destitute Russian abode can be depressing.
Dimitri cares deeply for Alena and would do anything to make her happy. They are happy! One fateful day, Alena is presented with the dream of a lifetime. She is so young that she doesn't see the future implications of accepting what's on offer. Dimitri doesn't agree with her decision and hurtful words are exchanged. Even worse, he catches part of a conversation and jumps to conclusions. He makes a rash decision and Alena is left with no choice.
Alena's dream has partly been realised, but she lives in misery. Dimitri's love has turned into hate and is on a mission. Revenge.
Five years later, their paths cross again. Alena is hopeful, until she realises that Dimitri is no longer the young man, she left behind. Due to the misunderstandings, they blame each other. Some of the facts are missing. Dimitri is set to punish Alena and cause her the same heartache he has been carrying around.
This is an emotional romance, where one wrong decision rips two soul mates apart. Love turn into bitterness and hatred. When things take a turn for the worse, Alena finds a solution at the cost of her happiness. Dimitri unearthes the missing facts and reality sets in. Is it too late to right the wrongs?
I love the way this author manages to emit the emotions across the pages. I felt what they were going through. The main characters are immaculately depicted, but I would have liked to have learnt a little more about some of the secondary characters. Nevertheless, a poignant read which had my emotions in tatters. I look forward to see what follows this first book in the series.
