Danielle Howard isn’t his, not legally, but Lothar Ludvitski, nephew of the High Councilor, will have her just the same. Danielle was once his student. He’d taught her everything she needed to know about being a werewolf. In return, she taught him how to feel alive. He isn’t giving her up. And it doesn’t matter what his uncle does to him.
Nick Shepard is Danielle’s Carrier, her genetic mate, but that doesn’t mean much in the end. It’s clear to him that Danielle will turn the world upside-down to stay with her Mentor. For Nick, there is more to life than whether or not Danielle wants him in her bed; like doing everything he can to ensure the survival of her species.
Vesper Ludvitski is raising twin werewolves alone after the violent death of her Carrier. Being without an alpha hasn’t been good for her. She’s holding it together, but her heart is losing hope a little each day. Could Danielle’s refusing Nick bring her exactly the leadership she craves? If she’s going to find out, first she’ll have to let go of the past.
The Tangled Moon Saga: Lothar, Nick and Danielle are all really interesting characters and the strained relationship between them gives this series a solid foundation to work from. As is the norm with this author’s books, you know from the beginning that you are in for some serious surprises and she doesn’t let you down. There is plenty of action in this novel to keep you whipping through pages, but she also gives you the emotional aspects of her characters and their relationships to one another. Even the side characters come off as important and integral to the overall plot. ~Ionia Martin, book reviewer for Readful Things
I've read a few paranormal romance books. I really enjoyed this one. The characters have well-rounded backgrounds and the werewolf physiology and politics are different from any other book I've read. It adds an interesting complication to a werewolf’s love life. ~Goodreads Reviewer, Rose Davis

Olivia Stocum lives in New York State with her husband, three children, two cats, a dog, and numerous goldfish. Her favorite books are Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and Persuasion by Jane Austen.
She’s been an avid writer since she published her first poem at the age of eight, and now has seven published novels.
This book didn't turn out like I expected it would--and that was a good thing. It's nice when an author can still surprise me and throw me off course. I enjoyed reading this after finishing the first in the series. Olivia Stocum writes with passion and that shows in her characters. The people she creates have interesting backgrounds and chemistry with one another. You can feel the heat between them, Especially Danielle and Lothar. This book will keep you turning pages until the very end.
I like the way the author explains the rules of being a werewolf and how she has created a unique situation for her characters along with hurdles and challenges they must overcome. There is a lot of paranormal romantic fiction out there, but this is the first book series in the genre I have read in a while that kept me glued to the pages.
If you are looking for something exciting to read, where the story keeps getting more intense, you should give this one a try. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Danielle and Lothar travel to his family's home in Lithuania. Recalled by the council to answer for their supposed crimes against their tradition and laws. Their crime? Being in love. But, in a community where the males are sterile and children are a must, their love is against the rules. Let's not forget the last piece of this issue - Nick Shepard - Danielle's genetic match and the only one who can give her children. Beset on every side and feeling that they one have each other, Danielle and Lothar must walk a thin line and find away to stay together. Of course, life isn't interesting enough, so let's add in the other monsters to threaten the werewolves.
Another fantastic read by Olivia. It kept me interested until the very end. My only complaint is Danielle. Many times I wanted to reach in a slap her and tell her to stop being stupid. But, thanks to Olivia's writing, no matter how many times I wanted to do that, I always came back for more.
Oh my goodness! Loved this book as much as the first! It is a must read! Characters are intrancing! Couldn't put it down! Great twist at the end! No spoilers from me! I don't know how I will wait till October 2018 for book 3! Holding my breath!
