Join the vampires of Dark Moon Vale in this holiday adventure filled with treachery, vengeance, and mayhem...
Back Blurb Marquis Silivasi is an Ancient Master Warrior in the arcane house of Jadon: a clan of lethal vampires living in the Rocky Mountains. Known to be harsh, unyielding, and socially inept, he and his iron core yield to only one person--his destiny, Ciopori Demir.
The beautiful, ancient princess can bend Marquis's will--and melt the vampire's heart--with nothing more than a crook of her finger. She owns the keys to his soul. Only this year, at Christmas, she has gone too far...
She has meddled in vampire-human affairs.
She has plotted behind Marquis's back.
And she has disturbed his fragile peace by offering to host a Christmas Eve Gala at the couple's private estate, which is secluded for a reason...
It is time to teach the female a lesson -- Marquis is still the master of his domain!
A serene, picturesque valley surrounded by snowcapped mountains; an internal family squabble, boiling to the surface; and a Christmas Eve feast, hosted by creatures of the night who don't eat, can't cook, and rarely socialize with humans...

Tessa Dawn grew up in Colorado, where she developed a deep affinity for the Rocky Mountains. After graduating with a degree in psychology, she worked for several years in criminal justice and mental health before returning to get her master’s degree in nonprofit management.
Tessa began writing as a child and composed her first full-length novel at the age of eleven. By the time she graduated high-school, she had a banker’s box full of short-stories and novels. Since then, she has published works as diverse as poetry, greeting cards, workbooks for kids with autism, and academic curricula. Her Dark Fantasy/Gothic Romance novels represent her long-desired return to her creative-writing roots and her passionate flair for storytelling.
Tessa currently splits her time between the Colorado suburbs and mountains with her two children and “one very crazy cat.” She hopes to one day move to the country where she can own horses and what she considers “the most beautiful creature ever created” -- a German Shepherd.
Embark on a holiday journey through Dark Moon Vale, you never know what will happen!
I Love the humor, love, passion, intensity, suspense, every excruciating twist, mind-blowing turn, lesson learned, and action-packed scene within this little gem of a peek into my beloved Silivasi Family at Christmas time. I never want this beautiful, deeply emotional rollercoaster ride, and picturesque world to end. I am very fond of these characters, they live by a code.
~and~
They're Freaken Drop-Dead Gorgeous!
Well written, easy to follow, and oh so hard to put down. I tried not to gobble it up, but I did. Multi-layered with a plethora of raw emotion, I went from giggling to getting upset, then the story would turn and warm my heart because the scene was so endearing.
Oh yes, there was one scene that made me smile deep within, Saber, one of the sentinels, is my favorite vampire, he has two tone hair and a very unique fighting style! Anyway - I'd say he is noticed everywhere he goes, needless to say, this leads his destiny, Vanya, to experience the attention Saber draws.
Miss Dawn has the ability to reach deep down within herself to create lethal, yet, passionate characters that bring me to my knees, with their loyalty, passion, trials, tribulations, and self-control.
Marquis is an Ancient Master Warrior, loyal, intense, skilled, and deadly. Ciopori Demir Silivasi is an original princess, and Marquis' destiny, who needs to be taught a lesson, Marquis, as her mate, is the teacher. Oh, what will happen, I can imagine... I will never tell.
I love Tessa Dawn’s Blood Curse series and since I’ve read the others I thought I’d read/listen to this novella.
It was so funny. From the two stoned idiots, Mitch and Grady, that thought they would just go to the party of a house full of vampires and shifters and rob them and they would be billionaires. Needless to say, it didn’t turn out as they expected. Then to the spanking Marquis gave Ciopori. And boy, was she pissed off. He only hit her 3 times but it was enough that she wasn’t going to forgive him anytime soon. Then she had to explain the lumpiness under her clothes, where she had a bag of ice, to the other “destinies.” When I first saw a review that mentioned spanking I thought, “holy crap, don’t tell me that Tessa Dawn has jumped on the “spanking” band wagon.” BUT she didn’t, and I was so glad of that. Ciopori did get even with him but she used a large tree limb on Marquis.
The end was very touching with Keitaro giving each of his children and their mates their Christmas gifts.
There was no sex in this book and no swearing.
As to the narration: It was Eric Dove! What more needs to be said? He always does such a fantastic job on both the men’s and women’s voices. It was worth every bit of the $4.86 I paid for this novella.
This series is one of my favorite vampires series! I greedily have devoured each book and always waiting on the next. The characters are scary, loving, sexy, and kind. I know you wouldn’t expect that of vampires but this group is just that! By the way waiting on one as I write this review.
This was a funny, but endearing book about the family. There were personal tales of each male member, so read their books first. Their is also a part where little storm, takes a toy, to broil it alive, and the young ruler to the thrown decides he should die by knife. Good that all parents can basically just appear on the spot. There was even an attempted robbery, by two teens high on weed, oops wrong house. Then a touching part by the patriarch of the family to each of the children, of his body, and blood and their wives. It also had a spanking, and a disappointing attempt at cooking by the Destinies, that fell flat. That part was all made ok by some revenge, and magic. It was very good, but lacked the brothers United, as they were on the porch, and their mates in the kitchen talking smack over each other's mates. I liked it but felt it really was not Christmas, since they were acting the parts, and each had their own God. It would have better been named a time for family , or something. It was still cute, and had a sprinkling of the families love, and devotion to each other. Read the other book first, because they talk about a lot that has happened in the past...4 stars......
The ladies of Dark Moon Vale arrange a Christmas extravaganza, complete with a Christmas eve feast. The ladies don’t cook and the vampires don’t eat. So, it begins with issues. There is humor in this novella but the heart of the story is how the patriarch of the Silvasi clan is able to bring out the joy in each family member and entwine them closer into the family bonds. I have read all of the books in this series and loved them. Admittedly, Marquis has never been a favorite of mine. The incident with his mate, Ciopori, was not consensual and is unacceptable. I appreciate that the family sought to rectify his behavior. I think maybe he should have to attend anger management classes. Now, that would be funny!
Christmas in Dark Moon Vale is book #9.5 of the Blood Curse series. They say big things come in small packages. This couldn’t be a truer statement with this tiny novella. As always, Author Tessa Dawn gifts us with a neatly wrap story and as you peel back the pages you will find every human emotion tucked inside. Be ready to escape your reality and spend a festive holiday with Vampires and Humans. Giggles will lead to outright bursts of laughter, surprise to gasp, and heart-warming moments to tears. This oh so small book is truly a mighty masterpiece, perfectly matched to a night on a comfy sofa with your favorite throw and a nice warm beverage, as you sit back, relax and let Christmas in Dark Moon Vale give you the best Christmas present ever, emotional release. Happy ready!
It was nice to get an update on all the couple's in previous books and I adore this world and Tessa Dawn is still in my top 3 favorite author's. After I could resolve how I felt a certain way about what Marcus did since it is so against how In thought the vampires wouldvactvwith their mate I settled into the story and wanted more. The book also made me afraid of what's going to happen in the next book. Not so much in what was said but in what wasn't. But I'm going to put on my big girl panties and start the next novel and please Lord don't let happen what I think is going to happen.
If you’re a fan of Tessa Dawn’s Dark Moon Vale vampires and their families, you will laugh and even shed some tears as you celebrate Christmas with the Silivasis! This is truly such a fun read!! Well done, Tessa!! Can’t wait for the next book!! PS- these truly are not your teens vampires...they are so much more! If you like paranormal stories, you will not be disappointed with the Blood Curse Series!! ( make it a Christmas gift for yourself!) 😊
The sidesplitting humor in this book will have you laughing out loud and rolling on the floor. The the Dinner party was hilarious! Little Storm really embraces his name. Even with all the hilarity there was also a profound seance of love, loyalty and family.
As always, Tessa Dawn does it again! This was a quick read that made me laugh out loud, and tear up a few times. It was a joy to see all the characters I know and love together for an awkward and loving holiday. A definite great addition to the Blood Curse Series.
Absolutely loved this novella!!! It can be read as a stand alone, but is so much better if you've read the Blood Curse series. I enjoyed seeing the whole Silivasi clan together. It was great finding out what they have all been up to and the personalities of the children. The gifts given by Keitaro brought a tear to my eye. Can't get enough of this series. Highly recommend.
A Xmas novella filled with laughter, joy and tears. One that I enjoyed immensely. Princess Ciopori finds out revenge isn't all its cracked up to be when she tries to repay Marquis for the "spanking " he gave her. Two humans stoned on weed find out the hard way what house not to rob on Xmas Eve. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll love every word.
What an interesting twist on Christmas.... I found this to be a very fun read.... All the family is together to celebrate a "human" Christmas... between the ruined food and the extra visitors...this was a great read... the gifts that were shared in the end, were so heartwarming, it made it the perfect ending.
I e given this book 6 stars because the author Tessa Dawn deserves it. The story of Christmas dinner for a room full of vampires and humans has so much love with a little excitement added in awesome job
Vampires celebrating Christmas, humans disrupt the after dinner gathering ... .... the patriarch gives gifts thoughtfully to his sons and their spouses... ...
Tessa Dawn combines a things in her storyline and once you get started you just want more . thanks so much for the great reads keep them coming. I am waiting for the next blood curse series to come in the mail. thanks again.☺️
omg....I absolutely loved this little story she created....I always wonder what happens after the "happily ever after" and the kids they created....this book was just what I needed....definitely some humor in this lol
I love this story, it made me laugh and cry. It was wonderful reuniting with my favorite characters and getting a feel of what there children will be like.
Oh what I would have done in Ciopori's position. Marquis would never have gotten off that easy. The novella was perfect, a great holiday interlude. I'm ready for the next full novel.
5/5 - I love this series... such a cool vampire PNR.
This is a quick Christmas novella for the series. It’s about family and the love each member has for each other. It’s really funny too, and I loved the humor between the brothers and their destinies.
I highly recommend the Blood Curse series. It’s a unique mythology for vampires. And Tessa Dawn writes a super cool world and scorching sexy times (not this story though. This was to short for steam unfortunately).
*its the perfect book to read around Christmas. I read this book in the middle of summer for #winterathon19 — a reading challenge started by one of my close Aussie friends. It’s winter there right now but summer for me.
