In the last six months, Ashley’s life has been one disappointment after another. She walked in on her boyfriend with another woman, leaving her needing a new place to live and a mountain of debt. As if that wasn’t enough, her ex convinces her that his infidelity is her fault for being unadventurous in bed.

Deep down Ashley has always had the desire to be wild but has been held back by her own insecurities. She’s desperate to break free, but she's fearful of how people will judge her if they know her inner desires. She wants nothing more than to lose herself in sex that pushes her to the limit, but she hasn’t found anyone she trusts enough to take her there until she meets Tanner.

Tanner doesn’t trust anyone outside of his inner circle easily. The infamous, media proclaimed playboy, quarterback is tired of people using him for money, connections and to get their fifteen minutes of fame. Determined to protect his image and himself, he makes sure to keep most people at arm’s length until Ashley is thrown into his life. He’s inexplicably drawn to her, and she needs his help in more than ways than one. But to help her, he’ll need to let her in.

There’s an immediate attraction and connection that neither can deny, but can both of them get past their inhibitions and find what they are looking for in each other or will everything backfire in their faces?

Wow.... It's 12:47am... And I just finished reading this book. I have all these things swirling around in my head right now. I'm kind of shocked on how the book ended. And the reaction of Tanner at the very end of this book.
I couldn't even fall asleep right away because I kept playing what I just read in my head!...lol

For being this author first book... I think she did a good job. There were however a couple things that I didn't care for.
But... I overlooked them. Because I was truly invested in the story.

I think the synopsis pretty much says what the books is about. So....I'm just going to dive right into my review.
This book was a good read. It sucked me in. I was fully invested in the main characters.
I loved how things didn't drag on through out the book. If something happened. It was dealt with right away. So there wasn't any misunderstandings.
And... that's what I love In a book! I HATE when a simple misunderstanding gets blown out of proportion.

But what did get kind of thrown out of proportion was Ashley not being able to fully own her sexuality. She let something that happened to her in college. Set the tone for her life. That was a little out there. I didn't feel it was that big of a deal to dwell on. Considering no one knew it was her.

The internal thinking from Ashley was starting to get to me. She would say one thing.... Then have this whole conversation with herself in her mind! Or Tanner would ask her something... Then once again... We get this whole conversation with herself of why she shouldn't answer the question.

There is a fine line when it comes to internal thinking. It needs to be here and there... Not after everything the main character says!
(It's one of my pet peeves and seriously kills the flow of the book for me.)

I liked how Ashley stood up for herself. She did use her voice.
But...She was constantly putting herself down. And that was getting pretty old too. It was just to much.

Both Tanner and Ashley had some relationship issues right from the beginning.
But, Tanner really went out of his way to make Ashley his and to break down her walls. I loved how he didn't give up.
I loved how he brought out the best in Ashley. He truly made her feel comfortable with her sexuality.
He really wanted her to let go and let her freak flag out!...lol
And I just loved all his dirty talk!!! That was seriously hot!!

Tanner...Tanner...Tanner...lol

I really was feeling Tanner....
Up until that little session he had with Melissa... In the beginning of the book. That kind of put a damper on me! I just HATE it when the main character in a book does that! It's hard for me to look past when he finally gets with the girl main character.... Which in this story is Ashley.

I know Tanner has had a bad boy past and all... But I just don't like it when the MC goes with another girl. Puts me off to him.
Which kind of sucks for me... Because I was really feeling him up until that point.
And... I really didn't like the way he talked to Ashley. In certain parts of the book. And then towards the end of the book.
I really wasn't feeling him.... At all!! Everything he said was pretty unforgivable in my book.
(The second book in this series will be hard to read... Because... Ashley would really have to look past everything Tanner said in this book! I know I would NEVER forgive that... Personally, I don't know how she would or could look past all that.)

Overall... I liked this book. I would tell other people about it. And I'm really looking forward to reading the second book in this series.
(I just hope it doesn't end in a cliffhanger. I probably wouldn't have read this book right away....had I known it ended in a cliffhanger. I would have waited until all the books in this series were out. So, I can read straight through. Because... I hate to wait for the next book in a series.
But, I won this book from the author. And she asked me if I could read this book before the release date.)

Don't get me wrong.. I'm glad I read it. But, I hate cliffhangers. I think that should be disclosed in the synopsis. It just lets me know what I'm getting myself into when picking a book to read.

This book should have been everything I’ve been looking for, but dag yo. This was waaaaaaaay too long with a bunch of nothing burger as a main course. And yet…..let’s look at the bright side this book offers up.

Ashley finds her shitbag boyfriend in (her) bed banging a nasty skank. He blames his dalliance on Ashely’s sexual hangups and general frigidity. Ashely connects with Tanner, QB of a local NFL team, through her work as a journalist. He feels a strong connection to her and wants to explore that. Tanner has had a multi-year friends-with-benefits arrangement that has kept him out of the spotlight and out of messy, emotional entanglements. Both Ashley and Tanner have complex, trauma-inducing relationship history - Ashley was slut-shamed and ridiculed for being confident with her sexuality in college (she shut down); Tanner was almost entrapped by a girlfriend who envisioned him bankrolling her future with him (he limits sexual encounters for several years to a FWB). Both are delighted to discover that they find the other worth the risk.

Once Ashley and Tanner start seeing each other, the FWB finds herself without a bed partner and starts showing small signs of OW-ness that is not perceived by the H, but is loud and clear to the h and her wingwoman. Speaking of wingwoman, there is a budding hook-up romance between besties Quinn and Alex.

Alas, the romance screeches to a halt when Ashley discovers her birth control has malfunctioned, resulting in a pregnancy. When she tells Tanner, he is *ahem* NOT receptive and flings lots of “whore” and “gold digger” words her way. This particular event has kicked both our H and h right in the teeth in terms of their personal relationship and sexual history trauma. Tanner fears only being wanted for his money and Ashley fears partners thinking she is a whore. What’s left is an emotional clusterfuck of a cliff-hanger.

Having said that, IMO, the most interesting part of the book was the very fast build up to the crisis and non-resolution cliffy. I had to dive right into the next book to get any sense of resolution. And that second book? OH MY GOSH. Totally worth the MEH of this first book!

Detailed sex scenes with other women that are no different than the sex scenes written with the heroine. Jerk hero, and just overall the story had no depth and relied too much on cliche bs

Journalist Ashley finds her boyfriend in their bed with a slutty hookup. Angry breakup and she’s off to
Interview famous quarterback Tanner. The connect and start falling for each other. He has a high school friend who has been his sex buddy for years. He bangs her explicitly on page after meeting Ashley. She obviously has a reason to have feels for the H despite his denial. She’s definitely the OW no matter how the author tries to
Deny it. We all know there’s trouble ahead after that sex scene. H pushes a relationship with fmc. They get together and are happy until she winds up
Pregnant and he kicks her to
The curb and trash talks her.

**JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**

OMG!! I can’t believe this is a debut novel from Kimberly Bracco. Hours later my brain still will not shut off!!! For this being the author’s first book she did an amazing job. This story deals with somethings that I can seriously relate too. The author wrote about places that I have been to before in New York and New Jersey. I loved that I could actually place the areas. The story is very well-developed. It’s fast paced but it has everything that an avid book reader could want. A super-hot alpha star Quarterback, betrayal, drama and some smoking hot sex. When I say sex I mean some really hot erotic sex scenes that had my kindle melting. This story is told in alternate POV’s and let me tell you this, Tanner’s mind is one you will definitely want to get to know!

We meet Ashley Mitchell in the opening chapter. She is a lifestyle journalist for The City Press newspaper. Ashley has an assignment to interview NFL Quarterback Tanner Garrison, the infamous playboy. If all goes well this can be the kick her career needs. Ashley has been down on her luck struggling to make ends meet after catching her boyfriend Jason having sex with another woman in their home.

Ashley is a heroine that many women can relate too. She has not had the best experiences when it comes to men and fulfilling her sexual needs. She had a bad experience in college that’s made her closed off to her sexual desires. Especially after her ex-boyfriend claims his affair was because she was a prude in bed. So of course, Ashley has major self-esteem issues, has her walls up and is closed off to men now.

Tanner Garrison is not all what he portrays. God, I love him! He has agreed to the interview because his agent talked him into it. He hates interviews and does not like being in the spotlight. To make matters worse, the woman conducting the interview is late. For Tanner lateness shows a lack of respect for other people’s time. Tanner’s anger is immediately replaced when he sees the breathtakingly beautiful Ashley walking in the door.

As soon as Tanner and Ashley meet there is an instant connection a spark between the two. The relationship between to the two is intense but I loved how it was a gradual buildup. I loved the dialogue and the easy going relationship Tanner and Ashley had. I think the way they are able to open up to one another by expressing their fears, pasts and dreams made me fall in love with these characters even more. I really loved watching how Tanner was able to bring Ashley out of her shell and acknowledge that it is okay to explore and desire sex.

Can Tanner and Ashley truly let go of their painful pasts or will that self-doubt always linger? Will Ashley and Tanner come out on top after all he said and done? This is book 1 in a 2 part series. The second book Unrestricted is due to be release in the summer and I cannot wait to see what happens with the pair. I also loved meeting two side characters in this story, Quinn and Alex. I am seriously hoping we get a book about these two sometime.

I really enjoyed this debut book. Ashley is a journalist who has the opportunity to interview the star quarterback for the Jets, Tanner. Prior to their meeting, Ashley already distrusts men because she caught her ex cheating on her and he said some hurtful things regarding her sexuality which has only fueled her insecurity. Without knowing Tanner firsthand, Ashley assumes he's like all the other guys out there and her assumptions cause the interview to go south quickly. Despite that, they do have an attraction to each other and Tanner sets the record straight about who he really is and Ashley realizes that he could be worth getting to know after all. What follows is the development of the relationship between Ashley and Tanner. I liked them both a lot. Ashley's past experiences have shaped her into being an agreeable and unopinionated person on the outside, not being able to voice her wants or desires, especially sexually, out of fear that she will come off as skanky or easy. What Ashley deals with isn't unusual for a lot of women, it is just unfortunate that she has been made to feel that way and can't completely own herself or let herself go. Otherwise, she's very independent and strong willed outside of her love life. Despite Tanner's celebrity status, he actually isn't a womanizer because he has to be careful with his reputation and his career. Tanner is a good guy all around, he comes from a loving family and enjoys interacting with children and fans. He doesn't trust people easily because people always want to use him for his status, but he lets Ashley in because of their undeniable chemistry. I loved that Tanner wouldn't let Ashley close herself off from him and always required them to openly communicate. He also helps her get closer to being that woman that she wants to be without any shame or embarrassment. They are pretty hot and sexy with each other, but like with any couple, there are obstacles that come up. Ashley is a little scarred and has some baggage, but as the story progresses, it's obvious that she isn't weak, particularly towards the end when a situation like that can really crumble a person and I am very interested to see more of that side of her in the next book. Ashley's issues with her inhibitions and Tanner's issues with trust make them very relatable and the question is if they can even have a future together if they can't overcome these roadblocks because Ashley wants to be enough for him and Tanner wants to be accepted by her for himself. Looking forward to the rest of their story already!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading his book.
Ashley Mitchell is a journalist. Thinking that she is living happily with her boyfriend, Jason, she is shocked when she discovers that he's been unfaithful to her. Fears and insecurities threaten to drown her as she tries to carry on with her life after his betrayal.
She lands a job that she usually wouldn't take; she is to interview a famous football player. Trying and failing to get out of it, she meets Tanner Garrison.
Tanner is a rich and powerful man who tries to stay away from complicated relationships. He is living his dream and when Mr. Mitchell shows up to interview him, he is surprised and pissed off by her attitude.
Getting to know her better after their awful first meeting, he realizes that Ashley is very worth of his time. There is an attraction between them and he wants to explore a possible relationship with her.
Will Ashley let go of her insecurities and pursuit something deeper with Tanner? You need to read and see.
The story ends in a terrible cliffhanger, but have no fear. Their adventures continue in the second book.
Great writing, fast-paced storyline and flawed characters. What more can you want?

CALLING ALL ALPHA MALE LOVERS!!!!!

Have you ever read a book that left you with a stomach ache? Not the bad kind of stomach ache, but the kind when you crave the rest of the story. When you need to know what else will happen to each character. Well this was the book for me. I had the opportunity to read this book in return for a honest review and a honest review I will give you.

Lets start out with that this is the Kimberly Bracco's debut novel. What a hit! This story had it all; from the Star Quarterback with a huge heart and ego, to the shy and slightly damaged heroine. Oh and lets not forget TONS of panty melting sex. Some of the scenes between the two made me blush and I for one love a good graphic erotic sex scene. Maybe its was the dialog between the two that did it for me. I mean what girl doesn't like a guy to say dirty sexy things to them while doing the deed? I soon became a fan of Ms. Bracco's work from the second chapter.

Our story starts out with Ashley Mitchell, a twenty-something year old Lifestyle Journalist, who just 6 months ago caught her boyfriend with another woman. Being told that the affair was her fault because of her being a prude, Ashley dives into herself and puts up major walls when it comes to the opposite sex. What girl gives into her secret sexual desires? What would people think of her? However Ashley is reluctantly given a assignment to interview the NFL's most notorious Playboy Tanner Garrison. With doing plenty of research about Tanner, Ashley soon discovers that his Playboy ways and huge ego are nothing compared to the real person who rescues her at a time of need.

Tanner Garrison is only giving one interview before this season starts but with the reporter already being late his patience is running low. What he doesn't expect is for a brunette beauty to walk in the room and conduct a great interview. All her questions are to the point and totally related to his career. Not like the usual reporters who constantly ask about his personal life. With the interview almost over his brown haired beauty does the unthinkable. She asks about his wild playboy ways. Well Tanner knows how to handle this and he is planning on shutting it down. The one thing he didn't realize was that shortly after he put a monkey wrench in Ashley's interview he would have to become her savior in more ways than one.

There was instant attraction between Ashley and Tanner. One where each will lay out their secrets and desires. Relationships will be tested and truths will be told. But what will happen when a small accident tears this couple apart?

I can't wait for the book two that is suppose to come out this summer. It left us at at place where we need answers and we need them now! How does Tanner deal with the bombshell Ashley drops on him? How does Ashley cope with the unsuspected news of her latest predicament? Can this couple survive? Please Ms. Bracco give us more of these two!!!!!

One side note: The only thing negative I have to say about this book was that it contained a few grammatical errors but being that I was totally engrossed in the story I didn't mind.

New Indie author I was fortunate to stumble upon. Saw teasers on FB for this book & they were super hot!! I had to check it out. I'm SO happy I did!!!

Be warned, this ends in a cliffhanger & you have no choice but to dive into book 2.

Sports romance with a sexy cocky quarterback (Tanner <3) and an insecure reporter (Ashley). Loved how their relationship develops. It's not Insta-love. But they get the BOOM!

Quinn, Ashley's BFF is freaking awesome! Super cool chick who's sassy and brutally honest.

Definitely recommend checking this one out!

Tuve que escribirla en inglés al inicio, pero también está en nuestro idioma 😅

Less than one star

What a predictible book was this!! The whole story was very simple: Rich and famous soccer player boy meets a broken and insecure journalist girl who found her ex boyfriend cheating on her. They hated at each other, but something had passed and they like each other. Then, s*x, s*x, s*x, and more s*x with no sense. And finally, the brutal plot twist of every erotic story!! It was so predictible that you already know «sarcasm».
The boy was an a*shole in the whole story and the girl acts like a pubert . She called to everybody b**** because they looked at her boyfriend, but she never noticed that her boyfriend is a soccer player. It's like you are been dating with Cristiano Ronaldo, what are you waiting for?
I don't really liked this book and I don't reconmmed to anyone

Tanner a professional football player who meets Ashley an up and coming writer that has no Ideas about sports who has no choice but to take the job and interview him. Both not expecting the other and when they meet there is an instant attraction.
Ashley who has recently split with her cheating boyfriend is not looking for a relationship at all and if she was it’s with a man who wants more and knows how to be faithful. Lost in insecurities of her last relationship Ashley is not looking for a relationship or any type of commitment especially with a man in Tanner position.
Tanner is a labeled bad boy and womanizer is hoping this interview changes people opinion on him. Put them together and you have an instant attraction. A relationship in bloom filled with all types of trust issues and even problems from the exes and friends-with-benefits. Ashley and Tanner will face the ultimate test of their relationship with one slip everything changes and it will test the fragile bound of their blossoming relationship. Can their relationship survive this new challenges or will all the things working against them win?
So what happens when neither of them can trust and there are so many forces working against them? Will they stand solid are will that fragile bound be completely destroyed by one simple mistake?
This book does end in a cliffhanger that leaves you asking what will happen next. This is a great story that will you will not want it to end Tanner and Ashley heat up the sheets and pages. Looking forward to book 2.

WOW... Where to begin? When we first meet Ashley, she is having the worst run of luck possible. She caught her boyfriend cheating on her (in her bed), he proceeds to blame her for it & she finds that he maxed out her credit cards without her knowledge. And things go downhill from there.

Then one day, she is informed by her boss that she has to cover an interview of a football player for one of her co-workers; the only problem? She has no clue about the sport. So she decides to google the player (Tanner), and finds a bunch of articles that say he is a player in more than the game of football.

The day of the interview couldn't possibly go any worse, and yet she finds that maybe the articles are crap and she possibly misjudged Tanner.

What comes next is a ROLLERCOASTER of a relationship. Tanner is the quintessential "book boyfriend"... I mean, he couldn't be more perfect. But one mistake and everything changes.

Things get real. Feelings get hurt. Assumptions are made.

What happens next?

Read and see....

This book has me COMPLETELY INVESTED, and I can't wait for the next in the series.

In all, I will say that this author is one to add to my automatic "one click" list considering how fast she has drawn me in. ESPECIALLY since this is her debut book.

MORE, PLEASE!

This is the debut of new author Kimberley Bracco.

Ashley is a journalist and is given the chance of a story to interview hot star quarterback Tanner. The interview ends badly but Tanner allows Ashely to redeem herself and so starts a connection that goes from strength to strength.

Ashley is insecure in her own skin due to the actions of a hook up in her youth and her cheating ex. This leads to a lot of angst that Tanner pledges to overcome and make Ashley see her true value.

There is plenty of steam and romance and will appeal to new adult read lovers. It was a little immature for my personal tastes and the storyline didn’t flow smoothly enough, with quite a few fillers and repeating of scenes but then again this is the author’s debut so I guess an allowance should be taken for this. The characters were likable especially Tanner and although the storyline was predictable to a point, it did keep me entertained and routing for the pairing. I will warn readers that this does end on a cliff-hanger which I wasn’t expecting, so no HEA or HFN but I believe the follow up is due out shortly.

Overall a nice and spicy read and a good debut. Three and a half stars.

3.5-4 stars. I won an ARC in exchange for an honest review of this book. Honestly, I really liked the story line here.

Ashley, a lifestyle columnist, who's down on her luck, get's a chance to interview Jets superstar quarterback, Tanner Garrison. It does not go well. Despite that there seems to be a connection between the two of them. Can Ashley get over her inhibitions and get out of her own head enough to let Tanner in? Can Tanner trust a woman without fearing she has an ulterior motive?

The best part of this story for me was how relate-able Ashley's situation/issues were. I think a lot of women will be able to relate to her. In our society if a woman knows what she wants and is aggressive about it she's a whore. If she's passive and submissive then she's deemed easy or a slut. It's a double edge sword and I'm glad it was addressed.

There are definitely some steamy scenes so this book doesn't lack on heat. There is a major cliffhanger here, so beware...not that that should EVER stop you from reading a book. I look forward to finding out what happens to Ashley and Tanner...can't wait actually.

I haven't even read 50 Shades of Grey and I can spot this as a rip-off, thank you media osmosis. The two leads are a reporter doing an interview she doesn't want to, and a star football player who doesn't like doing interviews. Sound familiar?

They fall in love and start banging on every available surface almost instantly, with the whole premise wrapped up in her history of not asking for what she wants out of sex, and his alpha-male dominance opening her up to who she really is. Neither of them has much personality beyond that, and the sex scenes were cringe-worthy, especially the dialogue, which was about on the level of badly-scripted porn. I have no problem with dirty talk, but it shouldn't sound that fake.

Wow.... It's 12:47am... And I just finished reading this book. I have all these things swirling around in my head right now. I'm kind of shocked on how the book ended. And the reaction of Tanner at the very end of this book.

"Inhibitions" was a very steamy read. I would definitely consider it erotica with a plot. The characters brought out best in each other and I've enjoyed the fact that Tanner did his best to help Ashley push aside her insecurities. A pretty decent read but I will notate I wasn't a big fan of the cliffhanger. The story just abruptly stopped and will continue to the second book of the series with a what happens to the characters but it could've ended in a better note or style. Overall, not bad.

I loved this book and applaud the Author in taking a risk to join this wonderful world of books!!! I have a strong feeling that not only will this book take off but Kimberly Bracco will soon become well known.

Where to start?? Let me start by saying, I don't read books about Athletes'. Not that I have anything against them, it's not just my cup of tea. However, after winning an ARC of this book, I have just expanded my Goodreads list! Kimberly uses every descriptive word in the dictionary to suck her reader's in; the friendship that is shared in this book reminds me of me and my best friend, the love wrote about is every girls fantasy and the heartache is something I think we might all be able to relate to. It has been a while since I've found a book that describes the characters to a "T", the scenes are hot and steamy while still maintaining some class and leaving a little to the imagination and the story line is anything but dull.

**There are no spoilers, so feel free to read ahead**

After spending the last half of the year trying to get back on her feet, Ashley Mitchell is praying and hoping that she'll eventually catch a break. Being left heart broken and forced to move in with her best friend, she will do anything to just be on solid ground again. Doing her dream job writing for a local paper about what's hot and what's not, her boss approaches her with a once in a lifetime opportunity - cover for the sports writer and interview a hot shot NFL player, Tanner Garrison. There's only one problem, Ashely writes' about clubs, restaurants, boutique's - not football players'. Not being given much of choice, she sucks it up and decides to go through with the interview. Little did Ashley know, her whole world would be soon knocked of kilter. Everything she thought she knew about Tanner - courtesy of google and other newspaper articles - is soon thrown out the window.

Tanner Garrison is just an ordinary guy - loves his family, friends community but because he just happens to be one of the top NFL players, he is constantly portrayed as someone he's not. Constantly being bashed by the media, he is doing everything in his power to make sure he maintains control of his private life. Tanner's manager convinces him to do ONE pre-season interview despite how much he hates that all reporters' are the same - only interested in his personal life and not football at all. When Ashley walks into the conference room all flustered, Tanner soon looses all self control - in his mind. But Ashley does the one thing Tanner expected her to do and once again, her life is hanging by a thread.

What happens next is so unexpected, Ashley herself has a hard time believing it. The only problem, Ashley is extremely insecure. Will Tanner break down those walls? Will Ashley be able to show Tanner that not everyone is out to use him?

I know I said I wouldn't give any spoilers but I feel I need to let my fellow book lovers know, there is a cliff hanger that will leave you wanting more, saying WTH and suffering from a book hangover but you will most definitely not regret picking up this book, so add it to your list and mark your calendar for February 20th!!

What I Loved:First of all I love romances, second I love romances that take place in New Jersey, third I love football, and fourth I have been a diehard Jets for more than half of my life! So this book had all the right ingredients for me to fall in love with it, which meant I had high expectations. Most of the time this is not a good thing, because when you have high expectations they often don’t get met. That definitely did NOT happen and this story met every single expectation I had.

There was the right amount of raunchiness, the right amount of love, the right amount of laughs and the right amount of heart break. The story begins with a very frazzled Ashley meeting a very handsome Tanner and of course sparks fly, hearts skip a beat and the rest as they say is history. It was easy to fall in love with Ashley, a vulnerable girl still getting over her a very shameful moment in her life, trying to get back on her feet again. Ashley was definitely a very believable, relatable character which made it easy to become engrossed in the plot and become a member of her fan club. All you want is for Ashley to find happiness and love again after everything she has been through, so it was fun to watch her fall in love with Tanner.

Like I said before I am a diehard Jets fan, I worship the ground they walk on, so my face lit up when I realized that this football romance involved my boys in green! Tanner has the right mixture of sexy, sensitive, raunchy, and humor that every woman wants in a man. He made it easy to fall for him from the very beginning, and even though he might make some silly or bad decisions along the way, I still want to forgive him.

The sexual chemistry was pouring off every page and it’s been so long since I read a book that has just the right amount of sex and love and vulgarity in it, which made this story very refreshing. Tanner is one sexy man who knows his way around a female body and I enjoyed learning about his expertise on and off the field. I loved how much he supported Ashley and saw something beautiful inside all those walls she built around her heart and to me, that just made Tanner more irresistible.

Not So Much:Since this is a 5 star rating, this will be a very short section. Like I mentioned before I loved Ashley from the very beginning and was someone I could to totally relate to. But at a certain point her inner monologue of putting herself down constantly and questioning everything all the time got a little annoying. I get that she has had bad experiences in the past, but I didn’t like how she fit every man into this box and made up her mind about all men, and was surprised to find out not every human being is the same. But I get it, she’s been burned real bad and is still licking her wounds and then this hot famous quarterback comes along and changes everything.

*4.5 STARS*
What a great debut novel!! I seriously stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this. I could not put it down!!! I’m going to warn you, this ends in a jaw dropping cliffhanger. I mean I literally had my mouth hanging open when I finished. Whether you decide to read this now or wait until the next book comes out, you will definitely not be disappointed!!

Ashley is a journalist trying to work her way up in the journalism world. Her ex-boyfriend put her into a huge amount of debt when they broke up and forced her to have to leave her apartment and move in with her best friend.

When she gets the opportunity to interview star NFL quarterback, Tanner, she isn’t exactly thrilled since she doesn’t know anything about football. When she gets to the interview and introduces herself, there is an obvious chemistry between the two.

“The second our fingers touch, my whole body comes alive.” ~Tanner

Despite their immediate attraction to each other, the interview takes a bad turn when she decides to go on her assumptions of his character. Ashley starts delving into his personal life which he keeps very private, and Tanner walks out. Ashley is devastated.

“I didn’t just f*** this up for me but for the paper as well.” ~Ashley

When she gets a second chance the at the interview, of course she takes it and that is the start of her rollercoaster romance with Tanner. Tanner and Ashley both have some issues and insecurities, among other things, that add to the drama of their relationship. Everything seemed to be going well for the two until one little mistake, that happened early in the relationship, was revealed and everything goes to hell after that. Can they get back on the right track or is the damage done and will they just move on from each other?

I CANNOT WAIT for the second book!!! I seriously thought about this book the next morning when I woke up and went back to read the ending again. Still in shock! I just have to know what’s going to happen!!!

Kimberly did an amazing job with this debut! I loved the writing and the character development was great. And boy was this book hot!! Tanner has a deliciously dirty mouth! I know how a lot of people hate cliffhangers, but I love how this book ended. It makes me so excited that more’s coming!! I highly recommend this novel!!! One click now!!

I won an ARC for an honest opinion.

"4.5 stars"

This is Kimberly Bracco's first novel and she did a great job. Inhibitions is a story about a journalist Ashley and a famous quarterback Tanner. Ashley is journalist who is struggling financial (her ex took all her money) and emotionally (blaming her lack of sexuality for his wandering ways). Tanner is portrayed by the media as a cocky, womanizing, playboy. Ashley and Tanner's first meeting takes place when she is assigned to interview him for the paper she works for. The interview starts off well and there is an instant chemistry between them but once the questions get personal, that lust Tanner feels for Ashley turns to hate. He storms out of the interview leaving Ashley to deal with the fall out. Since Ashley is out of luck, she finds herself stranded (dead car battery) in the parking lot of the football facility. Tanner, the last person who she thought would help her, demands to drive her home. Along the way, Ashley realizes that she is wrong about Tanner and sees him for the real man he is. Determined, Ashley wants to reveal the "REAL TANNER" and sets out to show the world in the article she writes about him. Both Tanner and Ashley have trust issues for different reasons, but Tanner is determined to break down Ashley's walls. Just when you think that nothing can break them, Ashley's insecurities come rushing back opening old wounds. A mistake that was not revealed also breaks Tanner's trust and he is left questioning if he really knows Ashley at all. We are left wondering what the future has in store for Ashley and Tanner. Can the walls that they once tore down come tumbling down again? I was left wanting more, and can't wait to see where the two broken souls will head in book 2.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ashley has a hard time completely giving herself over to someone after she walked in on her boyfriend cheating on her (in their bed). She has trust issues and is insecure about herself. Tanner is a popular football player and can count on one hand the people he trusts. He has to have his guard always up to keep the gold diggers from finding a spot in his life. What happens when two people who have trust issues meet and have an immediate attraction? Inhibitions will be lost, but at what expense....

Ashley is VERY insecure about herself and her sexuality. She lives in her head a lot and lets something from the past hold her back. We do see her blossom as the story progresses. Tanner doesn't hold back with Ashley, but is very aware of her 'internal struggles'. He does everything he can break down her walls.. which I LOVE about him. He helps Ashley see how much he cares about her by his actions.

There is one part that was just... Wow!! There's a particular scene that involves sexting. Tanner is just your typical alpha male, who pulls shy Ashley out of her shell. So imagine what happens when Ashley finally lets her guard down.

This book does end in a cliffhanger, which I didn't mind. I was slightly disappointed in the ending. I won't give it away, but Tanner was knocked down a few pegs for me.

All in all, this was a great book from this newbie author. I can't wait to see Ashley and Tanner's story ends.
