The Wicked Earls Club is a quick little prequel to the series of the same name, Wicked Earls’ Club, and gives a fun little single chapter read that gives us a wee insight into what is to come throughout the series. It is not a massively long read – as I said, it’s a single chapter, a mere handful of pages that you can complete in no time at all – but it was a nice little read to be introduced to some of the characters and to get a feeling of what is to come throughout.
The series itself is made up of twelve standalone novellas, each by a different author. Tammy Andresen is the only author on the list I know of, the only one I have read before, but the prequel story introduces us to many of the characters and has left me intrigued by what the other eleven authors have to offer. In other words, Meara Platt and the Westcliff Earl, Collette Cameron and the Wainthorpe Earl, Aubrey Wynne and the Sunderland Earl, Aileen Fish and the Basingstoke Earl, Anna St. Claire and the Weston Earl, Maggie Dallen and the Davenport Earl, Amanda Mariel and the Grayson Earl, Madeline Martin and the Benton Earl, Lauren Smith and the Pembroke Earl, Christina McKnight and the St. Seville Earl, and Dawn Brower and the Harrington Earl will be on my radar until I have devoured the Wicked Earls’ Club series.
Having enjoyed Tammy Andresen’s novellas in the series, this little prequel and the insight into other characters has only furthered my interest in picking up the other novellas.

The Earl of Coventry had a secret.
With those opening words we are invited into a most exclusive of gentlemen's club, "The Wicked Earls Club"- A refuge for rakes and scoundrels with too much unchecked power and too little love.
Ooohhh...me like! I was immediately sucked into this series.
This novella is really more of a short teaser, an introduction or prologue to the series of 12 novellas, each featuring a member of this club led by none other than the Earl of Coventry.
We are only given a taste of Coventry's true intentions behind the club which of course are unbeknownst to its members and that is to help his earls find happiness...true happiness.
Each earl in his club had an overwhelming sense of duty but no clarity of purpose, an abundance of land but no true home, plenty of money but no loving family with whom to share it.
How does the Earl of Coventry plot to go about this, you ask? You'll have to read to find out!
This was a nice, very short read that wets the appetite for the first book, "Earl of Sussex".
I picked this up because I was set to read the "Earl of Pembroke" which is tied into The League of Rogues series and figured I needed to find out what this "Wicked Earls Club" was all about. 😉
Now I've discovered 11 more books to feed my hunger for period romances!!!

There are twelve Earl’s, twelve authors and about twelve weeks where the books are released one per week. It is a great set-up and really makes me look forward to the next books in the series.
This very short book tells of the beginning of the Earl’s Guild when it was first formed as a place Earls could make business deals in private. Over the years, it changed to one of debauchery rather than business. Once the Earls marry, they must leave the club membership. There isn’t a really good explanation of who the Earl of Coventry is, but he is basically the ‘father figure’ or caretaker of the club and treats the Earls like his sons – not to mention, he is quite the matchmaker. I don’t know if he’ll be featured in the other books or not, but I do hope he is because I like his style

If you're looking for a quick prequel into the bestselling series, The Wicked Earl's Club, pick this up. I'm a huge fan of the Wicked Earls and several of the books are must-reads. This gives a great overview and will hook you as it did me.

OK this book was really just trying to hook you so that you would read the series. Well it did it's job. I am not going to look into the series. :(

I'm glad to have read this Prequel to the series. Now I have some understanding of the Earl of Coventry's true motives in renaming the Earls' Guild and taking this group of miscreant peers under his influence. I recommend it as a primer for everyone interested in reading this series. With just a bit of reading between the lines, it will help to frame your understanding of the brotherhood.

Cute little intro to the series - it is super short and doesn't really delve into any "Earl" in particular. But it is informative and gives the reader a little background on the club before jumping into the series.

I thought this was a great intro into the 12 Wicked Earl's Club books. You certainly don't need to read it, but it does give you some basic background information.

The Wicked Earls’ Club
A short enjoyable prologue to the series, and an introduction to the Wicked Earls.
The Earl of Wainthorpe by Collette Cameron
Lord Fairfax killed his mother. Pierce was determined to take everything from him. He succeeded, but got more than he bargained for when that everything included guardianship of Fairfax’s cousin, the beautiful, feisty Bianca Salisbury. What’s he to do with her?
Once you get passed the tension of the card game, this is a fun story. Bianca is spunky and has an independent streak. Pierce has to learn to deal with Bianca and respectability (he was happy being a rogue). As they spend time together, an attraction develops. He gets advice from the Earl of Coventry and his absolutely delightful sisters. Now that Pierce has revenge and Bianca is free of her cruel cousin, can they find a happily ever after? It looks as though it might be difficult, but love and a trio of “helpful” sisters might just find a way. The characters, story, wit and humor, and the ending are what you expect from Collette Cameron – engaging, entertaining, and of course, romantic.

Procurando livros de romance georgiano, vitoriano ou de regência, de vez em quando me deparo com essa série e é uma ideia tão boa!
Um clube onde libertinos cansados e traumatizados afastam seus demônios se entregando ao vício e à devassidão. E onde o seu criador manobra para encontrar para cada um propósito e assim oferecer-lhes redenção.
Tá. A idéia é ótima. A execução péssima. até mais ou menos o décimo não passa de um amontoado de livros florzinha (sweet regency) onde os "wicked" não são nada perversos, as heroínas têm dilemas ridículos, nada de trauma, vícios, sexo, os primeiros mal tem beijos.
Mas o pior de tudo é que as autoras são horríveis, textos medíocres e sem nenhuma conexão uns com os outros ou com a trama central da série.
Por que eu continuo lendo? Como Diógenes, procuro um autor. Nem todos são péssimos (não achei nada ótimo, mas alguns consegui ler até o fim) e até li outros livros de algumas autoras.
(não é o caso dessa autora. tentei ler dois dela e nunca consegui chegar nem ao meio do livro)

The Wicked Earls' Club by Tammy Andresen and Maggie Dallen is a wicked tease. These ladies have created an amazing tease to what will be a new series. The Wicked Earls' Club gives us an idea how the club came about and what it turns into and tips us off that the Earl of Coventry is a bit of a matchmaker. The first of the 12 books of this series will be The Earl Of Sussex. Luke and Tabitha's story, but you only get a tease. Yes, this is a dreaded cliff-hanger. At the same time, it's a peek at a book we'll surely want to watch for. I can't wait to read The Earl Of Sussex.

This is an introduction to a series that will have twelve standalone novellas by various authors. You meet the owner of the club who seems to be a matchmaker for the group. The secret club is a safe place for titled men to relax without the restrictions of society. You are introduced to the hero who will be book one, The Earl of Sussex by Tammy Andresen. You are also given a prologue and Chapter 1. (I didn’t read those as I don’t like to start something that I can’t finish 😊) I like the premise for this new series and think it will be fun series.

Not really the Anthology Touted
What this book was was a prologue to a series and Chapter One of one of the books in the series. The two ‘bits’ were not as well-written as her other works in collections I have read. At least two homophone errors (‘here’ for ‘hear’ and ‘to’ for ‘too’) seem a bit much for such a small amount of story. I liked her previous works which is why I bought the book, and will probably get the series, but will ask for my $.99 refund on this purchase, I think.

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments and just a sliver of the romance that the title implied. However, even though there were times when it would lull, I never pondered choosing another novel for immediately something would grab my attention again. There was always something slightly spicy or mysterious which would reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.

This is a prequel to the Wicked Earls' Club series. It gives a little insight into the series and introduces some of the characters. I enjoyed the glimpse as to the Earl of Coventry's plans. It is not necessary to read this before reading the Wicked Earls' stories, but it does show some of why they happen. I read one of the books before this one and this did explain where these Earls began.

This is a short introduction to a new series that will be fabulous I am sure with all the great authors contributing! You are introduced with a little background as to what the Wicked Earls Club is and how formed. I cannot wait to read each story. You only get a tease here that makes you want more!!!

Found interesting and promising this introduction to the Club of Wicked Earls. Strong and witty characters, romance, secrets, some violence and wicked situations, oh my! Liked all of that. Needless to say that already I have the Earl of Sussex’s book. After reading the suggestive prologue and the first chapter I could not miss it.

I didn't realize this was a short prelude to the series and first book, because I didn't read that prior to downloading. So I had to buy the first book after reading first few pages. Looks like a good series. I purchased several of the other books in series while in sale hoping not to be disappointed. Give it a try.

The Wicked Earl's Club: Introduction to Entertainment

Prequel to the series
This was a prequel to the 12 book series The Wicked Earls Club, I stumbled on this series by reading The Earl of Westcliff by Meara Platt, which is also tied to her Bra teen's series. I love interlocking books in a series and am excited to read more of this world. Great introduction, Lord Coventry is a sly, but fatherly figure to these wicked earls.

Having previously read quite a few of the books in the Wicked Earls' Club series, I had often wondered how it all began. Finding and reading this prequel was awesome because it explained the background of the club and why the Earl of Coventry was so invested in the lives of the other earls.

A fun short (very short ie 1 chapter) and great intro into the Series. It gave some good information /background of the club and a few who are members and why they were "chosen" allowed to be members.

This was a nice introduction to the Wicked Earl series. I liked being introduced to a few of the lords and learning what Coventry is up to. I just we would have learned a little bit about more about some of the other lords that the series will involve.

What a Letdown
When I purchased this I thought it was a complete book. But it was a synopsis of all twelve books with a teaser of the Earl of Harrington and of course the beginning of the Earl of Sussex. Needless to say I will purchase the series!

It's messy, there's no story, and it doesn't have an ending. Not to mention half of the pages is spent on a teaser of the first 'real' book in the series. All in all it's (very) disappointing. Just as well it is a freebie (but I have to say that even as a freebie it's a waste of time).
