A but of a filler issue, but it was fun and seems to have established that this comic isn’t going away any time soon, which I’m excited about!

"I AM A TEENAGER" - Robin.

Just a little reading before bed. This was a much needed breather after the last issues with the Magician and the 2 female African-Americans.

So Superboy and Robin rendezvous underwater in what will be their new headquarters, Fortress of Attitude.

It seems to me , the one-shot issues for this title are way more entertaining than the actual story arc . This was no different , Jon finally acquires the skill to fly and Bruce gives the Super Sons a new HQ . Full of good banterous moments between Jon and Damian and also some father - sons bonding . Meanwhile there was a little snippet of possible future story arc . It's all jolly and happy .

“Clark: Your boy’s nothing if not dramatic, Bruce.
Bruce: Hnn. Alfred’s influence. Too much theater.”—3%

Sure it is.

JON IS FLYING!

“Bruce: Son, even I get tired of your cynicism.”—15%

Bruce calling Damien out!

“Bruce: It’s your wife’s influence. Maybe I’ll become a journalist.
Clark: Great. We’ll switch places. Playboy billionaire can’t be all bad.”—25%

Clark!

“Jon: Yeah, well, you don’t live in a house with a parent who has super-hearing and super-mind reading.
Damien: Your father can’t read minds.
Jon: I’m talking about my mom!”—26%

Jon is too pure for this world.

DAMIEN AND JON PRETENDING TO FLY ON TOP OF THE CAR.

“Damien: I was able to fly for a short time after my father brought me back from Apokolips.
Jon: How come you never told me?
Damien: Need to know. …Thanks, Jon.”—31%

Damien, when did you get likable?

“Fortress of Atitude”, my goodness…

It’s a little clichéd that Damien and Jon are going to school together but I can live with it.

I'm really excited! Superboy has finally gotten the hang of flying. No more hopping around for Jon. More importantly, Superman and Batman are giving the boys a chance to get their feet wet. They've given them headquarters that are underwater. Jon and Damian will also be attending the same private school. As expected, Jon is super excited and Damian is, well... underwhelmed to say the least. He isn't a big fan of being watched by his father as he gets lower risk missions relayed to him from the Justice League headquarters. It will be really funny to have them have to see each other so much more often. I'm really happy about this. 😁 There is something going on with the future Batman roaming around in that post apocalyptic future. It's probably Damian, I think. We'll have to find out next issue.

Comedy Gold 😭👏

「BATMAN: I spoke with Alfred, and we both feel you've gone as far as you're going to go with his homeschooling. Earlier today, the Wayne Foundation made a significant donation to the West-Reeve school in Metropolis...

JON: Wait... that's my new—

DAMIAN: PRIVATE SCHOOL?! You're sending me to a private school?!

DAMIAN: There is no way I'm going! I could TEACH the Neanderthals there!

JON: Hey!

BATMAN: And that attitude is EXACTLY why you're going. You're too young to be this angry.
Any unexcused absences and you're fired.

BATMAN: No more HQ. No more Robin.

BATMAN: Jon lives by the same rules. Right, Clark?

SUPERMAN: Well, yes... but we like school.」

I really enjoy this title when the boys are accompanied by the parents. Tomasi just seems to know how to write kids first and heroes second which is precisely what is needed here.

Really enjoyed this more relaxing episode. The parallels between the banter of Jon and Damian and that of Clark and Bruce was fun.
