Titus thought it would be a simple rescue mission. He was wrong.CIA operative, Titus Ray, arrives in Cuba on a mission to rescue a fellow operative from the hands of the Los Zetas drug cartel. Sounds simple enough.Except it wasn’t simple . . . An unconventional operative arrives to complicate the rescue.
Except it wasn’t a rescue . . . An unexpected situation turns the mission into an escape.
Except it wasn’t a mission . . . An unexpected discovery reveals a hidden assignment.
It wasn’t a simple rescue mission. It was much more . . .More about his survival. More about his faith. More about himself.

Luana Ehrlich is a USA Today bestselling author, known for her award-winning Titus Ray Thrillers, Mylas Grey Mysteries, and Silas McKay Suspense. Her novels are clean reads with intriguing plots, fascinating characters, jaw-dropping twists, and occasional touches of humor and heart-warming romance.
Although she developed her passion for spy thrillers and mystery novels at an early age, she didn’t write her first novel until her husband retired from the ministry. Now, she writes from an undisclosed location, trying to avoid the torture of mundane housework, grocery shopping, and golf stories. Somehow this one felt quite a bit slower than the last couple. The mission itself took longer, for one thing, and there didn't seem to be quite as many twists and turns as the adventure went along. And while I was definitely invested in Ben's rescue, it wasn't quite the same not having him along on the mission. (Juliana was okay, but she's not a substitute.) ;)
I liked the spiritual thread, especially Titus learning that his prayer over a situation didn't necessarily guarantee that everything would work the way he wanted but getting to see God's perfect timing working in the end. Sometimes it's hard to remember just how little time or help he's had in his spiritual walk so far, and I loved the way someone finally reached out to help mentor him in his faith. <3 (Also, the way that happened... :D)
I wasn't as much of a fan of all the relationship drama involved in several places, but I do like the way Titus and Nikki's relationship has progressed in general. Oh, and there were some good morsels involving the relationship between Ben and his father. Also, I think my appreciation for Carlton continues to grow as more and more layers are pulled back. Overall, while this wasn't my favorite in the series, I am still enjoying it and do intend to continue. ;)
Content--mentions of blood, vomiting, wounds, and dead bodies (not graphic); mentions of kidnapping and threats; violence, gunplay, and explosions; people drugged; references to a married woman flirting and having relationships with other men; mentions of drug trafficking and terrorism; mentions of Catholic prayers and shrines; some talk about dreams and their possible meanings; some touching and kissing
I really enjoyed this next story in the series. Some tense moments, many not as tense. Good conversations, old and new characters, situations that were uncertain. I liked Titus's growth as a Christian and really liked someone coming along to mentor him in his walk. There are bad guys, danger, sickness and wounds, but nothing graphic.
Excellent book, kept me captivated from cover to cover. Titus' new mission is packed with thrilling action and adventure leading to circumstances that will test his faith.
I am never disappointed with a Titus Ray book. As usual, the author created a story that includes intrigue and excitement, along with Titus's growing faith. Add just the right amount of romance, and the book is excellent.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this latest Titus Ray book! The pace was just right, with lots of plot twists to keep up the reader's interest. I always get a kick out of Titus' dry humor. If you read the earlier books first, you'll understand the references to past events, but Ehrlich does a good job of filling in the gaps. It always amazes me that a woman can write such a great suspense thriller from a man's viewpoint!
If you have read any of his previous adventures you will know how he operates and not everything goes to plan, well out plans anyway. This time we see his Faith straighten and tested but you need to see how and why. Ben the son of a Senator has been kidnapped and it's Titus's job to help get him back he's also in the CIA (Ben that is). The only real headache is the kidnapping is in Cuba and it's by a drug cartel who just happen to have stolen some Siren Gas of of the Hezbollah. So a normal day for one of Americas best, and he has to work out where his relationship with the Ace Detective Nikki is going. A great adventure that will draw you in and escape from life for a while.
I love the way this book, this series, is written. The story spreads out and then pulls back together. I love the characters, the suspense, the spycraft, the action, and the bits of romance. I love the touches of Christianity. It's a very entertaining book!
I am loving the Titus Ray series. Luana has a way of getting you hooked on her characters so you can’t wait to read the next book in the series. The twist and turns in this one really keep you guessing.
Luana never disappoints . Her descriptions and story line are always on point. Readers are able to visualize her characters and locations well which puts you in the middle of the story. A Ways looking forward to the next one.
This next continuation of the Titus Ray series didn't disappoint. There's plenty of action, a whole rescue mission that you know will lend itself to a lot of plot twists, plenty of thinking on one's (Titus') feet, and traveling a lot! I really enjoyed this one, but the locations may have been one of my favorite parts, being mostly centered in Cuba and the Caribbean. I loved that the story also focused on Titus' faith, and I loved the introduction of new characters, like Andrews, and the role he played (and I think will continue to play) going forward. There's a lot of testing in this story, be it in his relationship with Nikki (though I also loved their progression), his faith in the Lord, or his work scenarios, but it made it all the more fascinating to me. I loved the reminders of prayer and how the Lord's will works in our lives.
The narrator did a good job most of the time, though again, I had to give it a few chapters to get used to his voice. He nailed the different voices (difference between male and female, older and younger), but I think his Spanish could use a bit of practice. Hearing mispronunciation of words like "celebration" when it was "celebración" or "polo" instead of "pollo", to name a few, was jarring and pulled me out of the story for a bit, but other than that, it was still good to get to experience this book come alive in this way.
Seriously, as with any book in this series, I loved the suspense in this one, and I could almost hear the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background of the last chapter. Can't wait to dive into the next one! ~ 4.5 stars rounded up to 5
It has been amazing to see a hardened by life, man who's been knocked down so often during his life humble himself and come before the Creator who loves him. As we watch him grow in each one of these books... Not so much that it's pelted more with faith than suspense and mystery, but rather where the states fits perfectly in with the suspense and mystery... I find my own faith growing... I find myself being reminded that I have to humble myself to God when I felt that my own lifestreams had fallen apart. In other words reading these books has helped get me back in a deeper relationship with my Redeemer my Savior, My First Love.
Thank you, Luana, for such an amazing series! And I'm sure you must get some of your material from people who must not be named so please thank them too.
Luana, Your imagination is amazing, your books are riveting. Your characters are endearing. And your stories of Faith are enduring. May God continue to bless you and that beautiful brilliant mind of yours! And may you continue to shine for our Beloved Redeemer. ~Dawn Trainer
Missing Agents and WMDs This is the fourth book in a series that should be read in order. The author does a great job of giving the new reader the story background, but there is plenty of detail that it is always best to get firsthand. In this episode, our hero needs to find a kidnapped agent. All sorts of bad stuff is going on and needs attention. It is a tight and fast-moving plot. This is a clean, Christian series. There is no foul language, no gore, and no sex. Our main character is a newly minted Christian and is still figuring out how his beliefs fit in as a CIA agent. I have really enjoyed this series and plan on continuing to binge-read it.
I love Titus Ray! This book is a continuation in a series about a CIA operative named Titus Ray. This book has him looking to find a fellow spy who went missing in Cuba. This book is a page turning story that is spell binding. It has action, covert subterfuge and all the things that make a great spy book. It also has romance between Titus and Nikki. A detective he met in the first book. And a brewing romance with secondary characters. I love this series and will be reading the next book immediately.
I thought the suspense was terrific. Titus Ray is certainly used in so many different ways in your exciting stories. I was sure he was gonna be unable to pull himself out of the hole he got himself into in this story. I love his and Nikki’s relationship developing. They have certainly gone at it slow and easy. I especially loved how his love was making him realize that he couldn’t put his needs above Nikki’s if he was to marry her and still stay in his same position. I believe Luana Ehrlich is an EXCELLENT storyteller. She has certainly mastered the art as a gear wordsmith.
Another thoroughly enjoyable Titus Ray thriller with lots of action and some interesting developments. I especially enjoyed Titus’s growing faith and him learning to trust God even though He doesn’t answer prayers in the way one expects. It is refreshing to see Titus’s faith being tested and how God steps in at exactly the right time through something or someone to keep Titus from losing faith and to learn from the experience. I am really glad he now has mentor but was a bit disappointed in the limited use of the mentor although that is probably more realistic than not.
This is the fourth Titus Ray novel Mrs. Ehrlich has given to her readers and it is as captivating, if not more so, than the first!! Titus continues to use the wisdom and experience he has gained throughout the years, while learning to balance his new-found faith. The test for all of the Titus Ray fans is to be patient with Mrs. Ehrlich while she is crafting "Five Years ........"
I am a true fan of the Titus Ray thriller series. Four Months in Cuba is the most intense and thrilling yet as Titus and his team race to reciver the missing chemical weapons and rescue Ben from the Drug cartel that is linked to the terrorists. It's so refreshing to get an exciting read that keeps the action flowing without any offensive content. I have read the Titus Ray books to my mother, who enjoys themtoo. Can't wait for #5.
What a fun, entertaining spy thriller without language or sexual content but with believable storyline and very likeable characters. Titus Ray rescues his fellow spy from his kidnappers in Cuba. That's it in a nutshell, but that doesn't do it justice. Humor, romance, adventure in varying and pleasing portions! Great job, Luana! You tell a compelling story that keeps me wanting more without making each book strictly speaking a cliff hanger.
Titus is assigned to find & rescue Ben Mitchell without stirring up an international incident between the USA and Cuba. Along the way he locates the ten missing cannisters of sarin gas that the cartel stole from fellow terrorists, aka Hezbollah. Alas, before Titus can figure out a plan, he is captured & kidnapped and winds up in the same jail with Ben. Their path to escape is a seat belt event. Next book, please!
I've read all the books in this series so far and am not disappointed. Each book has it's own theme so after reading 3or4 you're not reading the same thing over again. The book has Titus starting a new assignment. Can he work with different people in different departments in government? How has his faith in God been growing or has it? This is worth the read and can't wait to read the next one.
What a great series to read! I loved the writing style and the suspense. I typically don't stay up late to read. But I made an exception many times with these books. Another huge positive in my opinion is how this series showed how a novel can be great without the needless use of profanity.
This is the third book I've read by Ms. Luana Enrlich and they get better with each one. Titus Ray is growing with his faith and showing how it works in his life. I like how this book is relevant and real. It also exiting and gives me a sense of escape. Looking forward to the next book!
Who needs sleep when you can be living vicariously with a super undercover agent who could help save the world! Loved it as I have each book. Luana has become one of my favorite authors. To God be the glory. Your books have also given me answers for ways to reach my unsaved friends. Powerful! God bless you.
Luanda Ehrlich writes a detailed and intense continuation to the kidnapping of fellow agent Ben Mitchell. Rescue attempts are complicated and highly dangerous. In fact, the situation goes haywire and is a hurdle for Titus' newfound faith.
