Fast-paced and action-packed. I enjoyed this novella that fills in the story of Will Kincade and Andi Hollister that began in Justice Delayed. The author keeps the readers in suspense throughout the book, so you don’t want to put it down. I guess you will have to read it for yourself to see who got revenge on whom.
After book one, a lot of readers felt that Andi's addiction to pain killers was probably not completely dealt with. This novella goes into depth about Andi's struggle with pain killers and realising she actually have an issue.
Then there is a human trafficking ring also after her which added to a lot of action and suspense.
Pat Bradley’s books are always suspenseful. This one is a novella that takes the story of Andi Hollister and Will Kincaid -from Justice delayed- a little farther. It was an exciting part of the tale that told of Andi’s facing the trouble she has with pain pill dependency . She is facing another threat as well, in the man who is trying to find Chloe, the teen she helped to escape from a trafficking ring. Will is in law enforcement and is about to ask Andi to marry him but will her apparent abduction put and end to their happiness? Will their faith in God see them through difficult times? Come along for this thrilling installment to the story
My first Patricia Bradley story. Just didn’t seem as well written.
Suspenseful at times, perhaps too much conflict throughout Addiction, abduction, Latvian gang, human trafficking, chasing, killing, rescue attempts, running for their lives.
Although there was a simple faith element, this is not a story I'd recommend.
Patricia Bradley has written a fast paced thriller. She has created fully human characters with failings and foibles. The plot is full of action and moves rapidly. The ending is full of satisfaction.
Novellas seem to be the "in thing" maybe through publishers but it was no hardship to read this quick story. I have read all Patricia's books that have been published and to get more of Will's and Andi's story has been a bonus. Next book to come in June!!!
This one kept me in suspense. It was surprising the point and time where Alex truly realized she had an addiction. God continues to love and show mercy.
Good plot, but this could have been so much better if it was not so rushed. Straight to the point…. Literally. Half of it did not make sense because one thought would change to another so quick it made reading portions of the book confusing. 1.5 stars.
Andi, a Memphis broadcast news anchor, goes undercover at a drug rehab facility. She needs protection from a human trafficker who's targeted her, protect a girl she and her cop brother and boyfriend rescued from that same trafficker, as well as deal with her addiction to pain pills (as in, actually admit she has a problem).
The trafficker is hot on her trail, but mistakenly kills another rehab resident, tipping off Andi and Will that she and Chloe are in danger. Andi must protect herself and Chloe, deal with her addiction, and hope her boyfriend and brother find them in time.
A sequal of sorts to the first book of the series, there are no spoilers, so reading the first book is not necessary to enjoy Revenge.
A bit edgier than a cozy, but still doesn't dwell on gore and violence, nor is there language or sex (but there is a smidge of sweet romance). Good, clean murder for the whole family! :)
