Highly recommended for parents of martial arts students or anyone interested in self-improvement. The way Chapaty braids her teaching of taekwondo with AA's Twelve Steps is artful and potent.

My favorite sections are those where she makes her own amends and where she and her students work out solutions together. It's not preaching from on high; this is active, present-tense learning. Thoughtful, empathetic, funny, and -- if it's not too corny a word to use these days -- inspiring.
