Julian Chambers needs a huge commission to survive—like right this minute. He’s played the starving artist for long enough, and he’s tired of tending bar at a trashy go-go joint to make ends meet. His last boyfriend manipulated him until he almost lost himself, now he just wants to stand on his own.People only want to be around Enrique Fitzgerald because of his money. Trust doesn’t come easily, and neither does dating…especially since he’s opened his mind to the possibility that his interest in men isn’t just a passing phase. Enrique thinks he’s meeting with a middle-aged female artist, and Julian thinks he has a private showing with the patriarch of the Fitzgerald family. Fireworks erupt at the first handshake, but neither one knows how to make the first move. They both hold back, keeping secrets from each other. The truth is bound to come out. When it does, will their connection be enough to keep them together, or will the strain be too much?

DNF

DNF. I usually enjoy reading Sara York's books but this one just did not live up to her usual standards. The dialog was lame and the characters were just as lame. Sorry. Just not worth reading.

Clear eyes can make the world real.

Sara York is a truly gifted writer. Her understanding of her material is both complete and compelling.

With Brushstrokes she has brought together two handsome and loving men. Each with their own faults that come to light at the climax of the book.

Both intensely attracted to each other from the first moment they met, they both have pasts that scared them and left them gun shy. Their love is passionate and ultimately filled with compassion.

A joyous book that I read with a warmth that glowed within me.

Only read a few pages, but I could tell the style of writing was not for me. Felt clunky.

DNF at 29%, couldn't cope with the writing style and assumed it to be a fairly new or first time author. imagine my surprise when I checked this.
