I’m a single father. Ex-Military and now a Firefighter. That means I’m trained to find danger in every situation. So how did I not see Bailey coming? She’s the spark that starts an inferno. She’s the fuel for the passion in my heart. She’s been nothing more than a friend since we were kids, but fuck me, she’s all grown up now. It’s her that I go to for comic relief after a million blind-dates, each more ridiculous than the last. And then, without any warning, like a backdraft that kills everyone in its path, she swept me right off my feet. Now I need her the way flames need oxygen. With a passion that leaves me aching and hard as shit. But will I be able to convince her I’ve changed? That I’m not the player she thinks I am, but the man I know she wants me to be? Fuck if I know, but I gotta try with everything inside of me. My best friend’s little sister is in for one hell of a love story. It goes something like this… I’m her man, and my heart is all hers. And her innocent, virgin body is all mine. Cause with her? I don’t put out fires. I start them.
Every good girl deserves a bad boy... ~ Weston Parker
Captain Hotness is 53,000 word complete stand-alone novel with no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed HEA. For a limited time, there are a few stories from Weston & Ali's bookshelf, all of which should send you running for a cold shower. That's the hope! Enjoy!!
Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
I absolutely loved this story! A hot, single dad, and his best friend's little sister, well, I thought it'd follow the usual trope pattern. But Captain Hotness completely won me over! The dual POV, the story telling, and the personalities of the characters were convincing and felt so real, as if they were friends of mine. I loved Jeremy, he was simply a good man with a supportive family who hadn't figured out how to move on. Bailey, in the meantime, has grown up and become a mature young woman who is sweet, respectful, and just trying to do the right thing. The family, their small circle of friends, and even the not so likable ones, rounded out this wonderful story. But don't be fooled, while it's sweet and emotionally engaging, it's also sexy and explosively hot! I highly recommend this book, which is perfect for the holidays!
This is a single dad, bestfriends sister romance and I loved it so much. This is the first book I have read written by a guy for steamy romance and there was so much good steam. Bailey has always had a crush on Jeremy and moves to a new town where coincidentally Jeremy also lives. Their romance kindles when they bump into each other and Jeremy is not afraid to hold back. Sparks fly quick and things definitely progress quicker. This isn't a slow burn but it does hit the mark for a reader who isn't into insta love.
I would have loved the book to be bigger with a bit more character development involved but I still loved the story regardless.
dead wife is the third part in the relationship + son with dead wife + his mother is a witch + hero is her brother's best friend + Virgin heroine + She loves hero forever ------------------ I had never read anything by this author and I think he has potential. It was a read ok. The book ends around 21% of the file and the rest are other books which I had no interest to read at the moment.
"I was being an idiot. He was still in love with Laila, and no one would ever compare to her."
Well either I'm not seeing the reviews correctly or others aren't saying that this book is a short story collection. The story of Jeremy and Bailey aka Captain Hottness would have been given 3/3.5 stars. It was a good story with good characters, romance , sexy times, emotions and hea with epilogue. It also ended at about 21%. Maybe it's the new trend to put multiple books together but I have never liked short stories and I don't like going into reading a book thinking it's a full story only to be tricked. 2 stars for what could have been 3 for Captain Hottness. Sick of this bleep!!!
Emotionally engaging erotic romance. Lots of emotional angst and apprehension about the future. Erotic sex scenes that when written from the man's perspective are different from what I have read before. I enjoyed that the characters have families and friends and that the story includes those parts of their lives.
Weston Parker’s latest novel is a spectacular display of heart-wrenching feels, frustrating madness, humor around every turn, coupled with a sweet ovary busting single dad still in mourning, to a copious amount of inferno blazing sexiness that even this Captain of the Firehouse could not quell the blazes too!
Oh, I liked this one, no, Wait, I did not just like this novel, I.LOVED. IT - now the kind of love have for this yummy, emotional beast of a tale... Hmm, well let's put it this way... There is a chocolate peanut butter brownie made by a local bakery it is the best thing ever..( pretty sure I die of bliss a little every time I have one ) I have to stop myself from visiting more than once a month because fitting through doorways and whatnot is ya know- important. Captain Hotness here is ranking right up there with the brownie! That is a tall order in my world. *winks* The mixture of emotional turbulence and the budding relationship between Jeremy and Bailey and the adorable Austin was an attention grabber and heart squeezer right from the start! Marching on through the story the absolute frustrating madness had me crazy right along with the well-developed characters- it was great! Speaking of well-developed characters, the secondary characters, are just as impressive (Rhys, Ellen, Nina and maybe even Mrs. Bennett.. *eh*) they kept the storyline fun, twisted and even more interesting! The fan your face worthy hotness is off the Richter scale- but what comes from those hot times, makes it all, even more, read worthy! ( Still hotter than Hades though! ) In my opinion, this was a passionate, heartbreak to put it back again novel that flowed seamlessly, one that I was sorry to see end, but left me in a better place than I was when I started. Weston Parker knocked this one out of the park! Definitely, will be rereading Captain Hotness! Deserves More than 5 Stars! #OneClick Material
Ahhh...this book had me by the heartstrings. This is the story of Bailey, who has been in love with her brother's best friend, Jeremy, forever. However, Jeremy found his soulmate in Laila, who died two years ago. This book had some funny parts (the slutty blind dates set up by his mother, brownies made by the ex), and sexy times, but mostly, it was about the strong connections we have with our family, friends, and loved ones and what happens when those connections are broken. How can we take a risk on love when it might destroy us, and break us beyond repair forever? The author did a beautiful job of dragging me through the pain of loss two years later, and trying to hold onto to hope while setting aside the guilt of moving forward. I loved that the characters were mostly long time friends, and the comfort of all grieving for Laila in their own ways. I cried at a couple spots (ha! And I never cry!), so I guess the feels got to me on this one. Excellent reading, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I received an ARC of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
I don't know if I have the right words to explain how much I loved this book. Could Jeremy get any hotter? Former military, firefighter, single father. I mean really, how's a woman supposed to resist any of that, let alone all of it in one dynamite package. Bailey's just so sweet and wonderful and perfect for him. How's a man supposed to resist the woman who's loved him forever but will still make him work for it? This pair was so amazing together. Bailey's love gave Jeremy and Austin a safe place to heal and Jeremy gives her a stable foundation to take some risks from. I think this brother sister team may have been working out some sibling rivalry in the text. The dynamic between the brothers and their sisters was just so... authentic? I think that's the word I want. They squabbled, they loved, they fought, they supported. All the things the best families do for one another. I kind of want to see happily-ever-afters for the whole supporting cast too. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Every book keeps getting better and better. This has everything. All the good feels mixed in with the sad. The hotness level is off the hook and your kindle may smolder . I thought this was going to have a lot of similar aspects to other stories that are out about best friends sisters/ virgins but it’s so much better! The story is amazing and my heart went out to Jeremy.. ( perfect book boyfriend material by the way!) I plan on re-reading this bit of goodness because it’s just that good.. Epically done!
Sexy, hot, single dad and a firefighter . . . Captain Hotness was just putting things mildly.
Single dad, Jeremy was mourning his wife's loss. But he coped in ways that may turn a lot of women off. But hey he was hot, sexy, and satisfying. So why not look over his propensity to sleep with everyone that's willing. I almost felt that Bailey was getting the short end of the stick here.
I couldn't put this book down. I felt for Jeremy and his loss of his wife. He didn't want to let her go even after two years. But oh man when he sees Bailey for the first time in ten years he doesn't even recognize her. Bailey has loved Jeremy for so long but she is scared of not being good enough for him. I loved how they came together and how fast their connection became strong. Loved how Austin took to Bailey so fast. He is such a cute kid. I really enjoyed this story.
Wow! Another amazing book. I was blown away with the story, I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want more.....I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.Wow!
For a guy writing romance Weston has done a fine job, this has a great storyline, and Jeremy and Bailey have a great chemistry together, I was hooked from the start.
I received an ARC and voluntarily leave my opinion
Jeremy lost his wife and the love of his life two years ago, but found it impossible to move on. Bailey was the innocent baby sister of his best friend and she had been crushing on him for years. When he saw her "all grown up," sparks flew! Fun, exciting story, with a few good twists! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
ARC received for an honest review Rhys🐺🔫🔪 and Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ have been best buds forever. Rhys🔫🔪 has a little sister, Bailey💋💃, about 6 years younger that has had a crush on Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ since she was 16. Years pass and Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ weds, has a son, Austin, and loses his beloved wife, Laila, in a car accident. He is devastated, heartbroken💔, sure he will never love again.
Two more years pass and Jeremy's son is five now. Jeremy's mother keeps setting him up with blind dates. Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ won't have any of it. He's the Captain at a fire station, and he's tall, ripped💪, handsome, and 32 years old. He doesn't need his mother meddling in his love life.
Rhys is still in the Air Force and he is home on leave. He's staying with Bailey. When Bailey💋💃 sees Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ for the first time since she was a teen, she realizes what she's been saving herself for. Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ about loses it when he sees Bailey💋💃, she's everything he has wanted since his wife died. But will Rhys let him date his little sister? Will Jeremy's mother get off his back and accept his choice of Bailey💋💃? Will his little son accept her as his new mom? Bailey💋💃 is still an innocent, but she has erotic dreams about Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋. How can a real man live up to a dream?🌈
Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ is a little bit of a twisted bad boy. He's a spankster✋, and a back door man, but he loves Bailey💋💃 more than life itself! YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Loved this sentimental, sweet romance, centered around Christmas time. The book📕 is told in both POVs. Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ is by far the more experienced, sexually, and he is an aggressive lover with Bailey💋💃, right from the git go. Bailey💋💃 was all over Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋ and acted like a pro way too fast, in my opinion, for being a basically inexperienced lover.
I love the fact that this book📕 was written by a man, which explains why the male character, Jeremy🐺🍌🌋✋, is so sexually aggressive and feels so deeply about his late wife, his son, and his new love, Bailey💋💃.
4* Jeremy is a single dad to Austin after loosing his childhood sweetheart & wife Laila his mum is determined to set him up again arranging dates etc! Bailey is His best friends sister . I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Captain hotness!

Jeremy is the hot shot firefighter who is raising his son after the death of his wife. Bailey is the little sister of his best friend that he hasn't seen in years. When he sees her all grown up he can't help but want to get to know her better.
This one took awhile for me to get into the storyline. there was a few things that just werent' working for me but overall good fun story
Oh the feels. This book with take you from ugly crying to laughing out loud to the point of snorting (seriously, this happened). Absolutely amazing book.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
4 hot flaming stars. It is the story of love, loss, second chances, healing, laughter, and learning that your heart can mend, and find room to love again. Totally enjoyed how the characters come alive. Enjoyed the storyline immensely. You can never go wrong dealing with a sexy alpha fireman🔥❤️‼️
There were 5 stories in this book, so I slugged through to the end. Here goes: Dr Feel Good...4 stars Risky business and Toxic....1 star....The other books 3 stars.. The dominant themes for the h characters are that they must love and be very proficient at eating bananas without gagging and must love back door actions. I wish the author would spend more time developing the stories...The author either dismisses or conveniently under plays important aspects of the H character's emotional maturity so it seems that cheating is a non issue because it was the by product of sexual satisfaction? Not good...totally unacceptable. The characters in Risky Business and Toxic are cheaters...however, I got the sense from the author that because it was purely a sexual thing and not emotionally connected, that it was not cheating? Emotionally they singular loved the h characters; yet, had no qualms about having sex with another character. There is a reason why women are from Venus and men are from Mars. In addition, the author assigns male thinking and rationalization to the h characters, so that every h character simply becomes immediately proficient at eating bananas and loving back door actions. Really? The first thought? Anything is possible, however, one was to show the growth and the development of the character so that it is believable. And finally, the author must work on his storylines. It is unacceptable to simply grab a fact of a story out of the air, put it inside the story and consider it stated and done.
Talented writer; however, must flesh out storylines. Interesting take on what is considered cheating through the eyes of a male author.
Jeremy lost his wife 2 years ago and hasn’t been ready to move on. His mother insists on setting him up on the most horrible blind dates to get him back into the dating pool, but no one has caught his attention so far. As his mother is always reminding him, he’s not just got himself to think about. He also has to find someone who would be a good potential step-mom to his young son, or there’s no point in pursuing a relationship.
Bailey moved back to her home town and is starting out on her own. She grew up there with her older brother and their parents and since she can remember she’s had the biggest crush on her brother’s best friend Jeremy. He’s never been available to Bailey and even if he had been single, he didn’t see her like that anyways. Well…fast forward a few years when he spots her bartending after not seeing her since she was still a gangly teen. He certainly notices her now!
They get re-acquainted and are both very interested to see where things between them will lead, but Jeremy is still very much in love with his wife and Bailey’s just not sure that there will ever be room in his heart for another woman. The sparks between them are electric and the steamy scenes are super, super hot!
A great, emotional love story about loss, hope, friends, family and second chances.
I received an ARC to voluntarily read and review, but I one-clicked it as soon as it went live. I’ll definitely be re-reading this smoking hot romance!
Jeremy finds himself living a lie...his life. He's the captain of his FD, loving father (his adorable son is his life), devoted son\brother\friend. But he's also former military, hotshot, and husband. His military career ended and he lost his beloved wife. Now he just hits and runs in his personal life. Until Bailey returns.
Bailey returned to her hometown and began a new life. All was settled until she reunited with her first love, her only love, her true love...Jeremy. There are sparks but she knows he's still in love with his deceased wife.
Jeremy knows he wants more with Bailey but feels guilty for it. She fits in his life and his son's life like a missing puzzle piece. Everything points to Bailey.
Fear, guilt, overbearing family, and doubt run effortlessly through the couple. Can either let go? Is either willingly to take a chance.
Very enticing storyline. Instantly drawn to Bailey and her internal struggle to love and yet move on. Jeremy frustrated me a bit. Someone self-assured, controlled, and dominant allowing his mother to control so much of his life was a bit a distracting but overall very much enjoyed this story.
It’s been two years since Jeremy Bennet lost his wife Laila in a car accident, leaving him with a five year old son named Austin, when his mother decides to set him up on a few blind dates to help him find a new wife and mother to Austin. Bailey Wright has been in love with Jeremy her whole life, and that hasn’t changed a bit when they accidently run into each other while he is trying to escape the date from hell his mother recently sent him on. The attraction is almost instant with the pair, until he realizes that the girl is actually his best friends little sister. While he tries to avoid anything romantic from happening between the pair, he finds himself drawn to her more and more, and when Bailey finally gives into his flirting and go out with Jeremy, all bets are off. When the best friends turn into lovers it turns into a fiery passion that consumes them both. Will Jeremy finally be able to get over the loss of his wife and move on? Or will Bailey be forced to remain friends when all she wants is for Jeremy to love her? I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Jeremy is a widow who can’t seem to readjust to life after the death of his wife. He has a little boy that he needs to live for, a sister that keeps him from drowning in the dark and (for better or worse) a meddling mother that’s convinced all he needs is another woman to love. Bailey has loved Jeremy since she was young. He’s her older brothers best friend and about as perfect as a man can be...at least to her. Add in that he’s an amazing father, ridiculously handsome and a firefighter and there’s nothing not to love. Except she’s not convinced that she’s good enough for him. How can he convince her that she’s all he needs? Can he love someone else after grieving for so long? This book ends on a happy and predictable ending but it’s still a satisfying one. The other additional books included with this purchase I didn’t read behind the first or second chapters. They were too ‘alpha’ man for my taste.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. LOVED THIS STORY! Ashley is a hardworking young woman who has decided to move away from her family. She decides to return to the town she grew up in. She has had no luck in the dating territory, she has been harboring a massive crush on her big brother's best friend, Jeremy. Ashley is working in a bar/restaurant when she sees him again and he is way more that she imaged, unfortunately he is on a "date" and hears the lie he is trying to use to get out of it. Jeremy is a single dad who lost the love of his life to a car accident 2 years ago and is trying to move on. His mom keeps setting him up on dates with these crazy girls and he just wants to be left alone. One such date takes him to Ashley's bar/restaurant, and she is not what he expected. Lucky he is a firefighter, these flames are hot. Both feel the tension that is building, and both are ready for a little of Captain Hotness
I received an ARC and I am reviewing this voluntarily. This was one of the best books I have read this year. Jeremy I'd a firefighter with a 5 year old son. Two years before he lost his wife. He has been having a really hard time moving on.His mother has tried by setting him up with only women he could never see having a relationship with. Rhys is his best friend since they were kids. He contacts Jeremy to let him know he would be in town for Thanksgiving. He then tells Jeremy his little,e sister Bailey is living in town and he suggests Jeremy look out for her. Bailey has had a crush on Jeremy since they were younger. When she sees him....sparks flty. Talk about hot! This book will make you want to fall in love!
