Coyote’s Revenge is book one of two in Defending America Series by Vannetta Chapman. Wow and Wow, What a story. This series title ‘Defending America” is just right for this book. This is not Ms. Chapman’s Amish stories. If you love a good , clean, Suspense, and romance , then you will love Coyote’s Revenge. I felt like I was back in the times of 9/11 . Once I started I did not want to put it down, but it being the size it is I had to lay it down a few times. I have not found any of Ms. Chapman’s books that I have not loved. She did not disappoint. Get you something to drink and a comfortable chair and get ready for the ride of your life. Aiden Lewis , an undercover agent and a millionaire playboy, and on the go all the time. Madison Hart , a teacher, who is caught up in this ever ending terrorist web. I loved these two , but felt sorry for both of them. There was times that I had tears in my eyes and holding my breath to see what was going to happen next. There is danger everywhere, even in the air and moon tails. Madison’s life is in danger. Can Aiden help her ? Who can he trust?

I felt like I was reading a newspaper or watching the news on TV, and also like I was a participant, whether your flying in an airplane, or climbing mountains, or literally fighting for your life, there is never a dull moment in this compelling read.
From the beginning to the end we wonder if evil is going to prevail, just like it did in NYC on 9/11, and add to the story a touch of romance, and you will be just like me and not be able to put the book down.
The author has us wondering as we walk in the shoes of the young teacher, she is attracted to Aiden, but all of a sudden, he is gone, and who knows where, I would be questioning his where about too. One would never imagine what he was doing, and what was going on, at least I wouldn’t, but we hope that there are people out there like him

I continue to be a fan of Vannetta Chapman’s books, and this is no exception. She drew me in with the plausible scenario of a young woman’s fear of flying leaving her open to accepting the help of someone who rapidly turned on her and used her as a cover for terrorism. Then the Iceman comes to her rescue while unwittingly leading her into his world of secret agents and their job to put their personal life aside and protect America.
The story is free from foul language and explicit sexual scenes and the violence is not described in gory detail. The story does have some twists that kept me reading. It is not a dark thriller but does give an interesting good vs evil plot with interesting character and romance.

A Page Turner
A great read. Danger, secrets and love. Couldn’t put this book down. Actually laughed out loud several times. Had to scream at the book a few times too! The suspense and danger kept me on the edge of my seat. Will be looking for more of theses books to read! A great book club read. You will want to talk about this book!

DNFing this. No one thing I can point to, but a couple of profanities, a lot of focus on physical attraction, people talking about "making out" instead of just saying "kissing," and a bit of innuendo are making me more than a little uncomfortable. Too bad; I was very interested in the story. :(

January 1, 2018The very first paragraph of this suspense-filled story grabs your attention—and keeps it for the entire book. I could not find a “stopping point” in the plot. I had to keep reading. Vannetta Chapman’s story of terrorism, heroism, and patriotism could come directly from today’s headlines. The two main characters are likeable and strong personalities. The love story that weaves in and out of the action is a sweet one.
It’s a pleasure to read a suspense-filled, interesting book that has no bad language or embarrassing bedroom scenes. The storyline is strong enough it’s own that neither of those things are needed to keep your interest. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, “Roswell’s Secret.”
This book definitely deserves a high place on your reading list!

Another page turner, thrills, chills and suspense. I love Vannetta Chapman's Amish romance books but her Romantic Suspense is even better. Terrorists want to hurt our undercover agent who is also a millionaire and supposed playboy. When Madison is caught up in the terrorist plot she is in for the ride of her life. The characters and plot are realistic, the pace of the story is fast and also gripping. Vannetta's research is spot on and something that could happen today. "Dambusters" is the code name for the terrorist plot and Aiden & his fellow agents are fighting against time and a mole in their organization.
Be prepared to stay up late reading. I bought this book and its sequel. No one asked me to leave a review and all opinions are my own. I highly recommend any of Vannetta Chapman's books but especially this new series. Both books are page turners. Read both and loved each one. Hope you saved some of your Christmas money to buy Coyote's Revenge & Roswell's Secret. Exceptional.

I am always amazed by Vannetta Chapman's ability to change writing genres with such ease! Coyote's Revenge is a modern spy-type thriller and she pulls it off well. The action starts with the very first sentence of the book (she has mastered that hook!) and carries you well into the story. Great book, I shouldn't have let it sit on my TBR pile for so long! And I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Exciting and Chilling

This was my first book by this author. I have the second book in this series to start on now. I enjoyed this book. I will admit it had too much romance for me, but I did like the suspense. But if you are a romance suspense fan, you’ll definitely enjoy this swoon worthy romance. There were some surprises also!
This is a clean romance/suspense novel. There’s no bad language, no sex. There is some violence, of course. But nothing gruesome.

Suspenseful, couldn't stop reading this!
Good page turner on this suspenseful read that I finished in less than a day. Good characters and drama that kept the pages turning. Just hope there aren't any terrorists in the USA like there was in the storyline. Makes you wonder...
