A very over dramatic writing with a lot of Bollywood moments. typical of Indian fiction. Has no solid story line, somewhere resembles "gone girl" with its own twists and turns ofcourse. A good try at writing a thriller . The only good thing is the time transitions.

A very good attempt by the first time author. I received the book yesterday and it definitely has been a nail-biting experience reading this page turner - I couldn't put it down and had to complete the read in one sitting.

There's a perfect mix of romance, friendship, suspense, science woven in the story and you are always at the edge of the seat trying to guess what happens next and well, the best thing - you cannot guess what happens next which in itself keeps you hooked to the book till the last page :)

I particularly loved the following in the book apart from the story itself.

1) Toggling of the chapters between the flashbacks and the present
2) Inclusion of actual places from Chennai to make it more realistic for the reader
3) Realistic Conversations
4) Tying all the loose ends (pan card from the security etc)
5) Keeps you guessing

Kudos to the author on his debut novel!! Would love to read more of his works!

11 hours by Daniel Paul Singh is about how Rob rescues Diana, his kidnapped wife. The writing is a typical of hindi movie like with cheesy lines between Rob and Diana. There is nothing that this book offers. Skip it!

Insane crime plot with an Indian set up but the book was too short and failed to cover significant details. The writing is way to predictable for a crime plot.

Tell me a story now and put me too sleep.
🦄🦄🦄
When Robin's wife doesn't reach home from work he's sent into a frenzy trying to find out where she was last seen.
But when 'The Loser' gives him a call telling him that he has 11 Hours to find someone he used to know before he loses his wife forever.

11 Hours is a romantic thriller by Daniel Paul Singh.
I'm a huge thriller fan, but this was so disappointing.
The plot is very weak, when you have a genre like thriller, the fun comes the build up s d the adrenaline rush you get when you finally reach the end but this didn't achieve that.
If you strip away the 'thriller' (can you hear my sarcasm?) portions of this book, it becomes your basic Bollywood-ish love story.
Robin is an average character that made me cringe at times because of his attitude and personality so I wasn't a fan.
There were also so many characters in an effort to confuse the reader as to who the kidnapper might be, and again this would have worked, if their storylines were written to connect better with Robin and Diana (his wife).
Diana is someone I liked in the book from what we get to know about her, but she was the only saving grace in this entire story.
🦄🦄🦄
The only reason I didn't DNF this book is because it says 'National Bestseller' on the cover.
Rated 3/10

a novel at its very best. it didn't take a long time for me to finish reading the novel but at the same time, I have to admit that it has taken a while to forget the characters. Although many a number of novels often start with dull storyline and later they gather momentum, but this novel.... it is so amazing even from the first chapter, I could hardly put my kindle down.
the romantic descriptions in the novel appear to be so realistic, genuine and my god!! they seem to be poured directly out of his heart. every sentence is crafted with beauty of romance. GOD, his imagination is beyond the level I can expect from the debut author. the suspense is absolutely ground breaking, yet believable.
talking of the protagonists, I really adore Robin and his wife. MAN!! no wonders, Robin is the favourite character after all. he is a gentleman with basic flaws and mainly he is not a greek-hero-designed-for-romance-books. he has natural tendencies that any human being in any circumstances have, unlike I'm-ideal-bcz-i-am-a-protagonist type.
it is a thriller added with romance along with a spoon of suspense mixed with different colours of life giving you a flavour of love and gentle touch of emotions.

Not so good read

Story line of great authors feels too strong to believe and that of some Indian authors feels too week to continue reading. This is of that type. I have enjoyed Chetan Bhagat novels and I should have enjoyed this too but didn't.
May be because author writing is same as mine. Plain Indian English trying to fit in future technology in between cuteness and love. Didn't go well with my reading.

A very well written debut novel. Dani takes you on a thrilling ride full of love, fear, anger, confusion and some kink thrown in for good measure. One moment you're reading a love drama and then it changes to a completely different genre.. It's difficult to categorize this novel, and yet Dani pulled off this blend of genres with deceptive ease

After reading this, it actually took me by surprise that this one's a debut novel. Such a thriller! It was one of those could-not-put-it-down kind of book, that turned out to be a perfect blend between past and present, with right amount of emotions & suspense built in. Overall a good read. I would rate it a 3.5 stars!

This was my first book and I really liked this book. This book is a combination of mystery and love. In the beginning, it was normal but as I reached the mid it kept me hooked until the end of the chapter. Felt bad for Prabhu because I started doubting him. It was too hard to guess what would happen next. It was the end that made it worth reading.

Cover of the Book: The Book Cover illustrating eyes of a female with the title "11 Hours" is quite captivating. It creates an interest in the minds of the readers to grab the book.
The Story: This engaging romantic thriller is authored by young and dynamic writer, Daniel Paul Singh. The book "11 Hours" is his debut novel which is published by Write India Publishers and released on 18 October 2017.
The story takes you to the interior parts of Chennai. One will get to know the typical minds of the inhabitants which are portrait well. The story has many twists and turns which tends the reader to think and insist the reader to hook till the end.

The story is of a Christian guy Robin who leads a happy life with his wife, Diana. Although they had an arranged marriage and initially they both disliked each other, the duo end up being a happily married couple. Things changed when one day Diana is found missing,  leaves Robin waiting for her return from office. It was then when Robin goes out in search of her and couldn't find any clue of her kidnap until he receive a call from the "Loser".

In his quest for her search, Robin is fortunate to have his best friend's help, Prabhu. Prabhu with his technical skills managed to start the adventurous journey with Robin. They found that Robin's moves are being monitored by the Loser who asks Robin to find Brindha, his college crush.

Both the men try hard to untie the suspicious knot around only to save Diana. The author takes the reader into an mysterious journey which almost take their lives. Those 11 hours Robin couldn't even trust on Prabhu neither on his own shadow.  However, the story ends with a twist. Will Robin save Diana's life? Will Prabhu break Robin's trust? Delve into the world of adventure, fantasy, greed, love and romance through the book "11 Hours".

Not so good part: The book no doubt succeeds in creating interest in the minds of the reader however felt few of the conversations and descriptions could have been avoided which made the book a lengthy one. It would have been more good if the story would be a refined one. Considering this book as author's debut novel, the book is a nice read.

The book is available in both paperback and kindle version.

Had the opportunity of finishing this book today and I must say I couldn't even bring myself to giving it a single star. Sadly there's no other option. If people like this author are going to writer, then we readers are doomed! Anyway, here are a few points that made this book a complete waste of time.

1. Terrible language. I can't even believe this book got published. So many mistakes, errors and incorrect sentences. All the positive reviews made me wonder if people really cared for language these days!
2. Highly Indianized - Definitely not for non-Indian readers. In fact 90% of the book sounds like a cheap Tamil movie which someone is trying to promote by including some hi-tech stuff. But frankly not flattering to the least bit.
3. Sexually pathetic - Frankly some of the sexual or sexually inclined content made me sick. Sounds like the author has a highly flirtatious nature. Even then this book needn't have so much of flirtatious details.
4. Terrible plot and conclusion - Okay so I was hoping the end would save the reputation of the book but clearly not. The end tasted like food without salt. The plot is highly silly and the conclusion was the icing on the cake.
5. Drag - The entire book till the last few chapters is nothing but a drag with a load of unneeded information being shared.
6. Unrealistic - Like frankly Robin goes all the way to Bangalore and doesn't so much as kiss or hug Brindha, or make love to her. Preposterous!! Everyone has skeletons in their closet. Who is this author trying to cheat? The readers? His wife?? I have no idea. But definitely not a realistic story.

All in all, if you plan to buy this book, please dont waste your time. This is highly amateur content and in my opinion even an amateur can write a million times better or at least have decent language skills before publishing a book. Definitely not for avid readers and regular bloggers. Stay away!!

11 hours is a debut novel by Daniel Paul Singh.
Robin, our protagonist is a jovial and cheerful guy, married to Diana. Her working hours are from 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm and she reaches home by 10:45 pm through her office cab. Unlike that day, neither did she arrive nor was her phone available. His life stopped when he received a call from a stranger calling himself a LOSER. He gives Robin 11 hours to find Brindha, his former crush in exchange for his wife, Diana. With no clue of Brindha, Robin accompanying his techie best friend, Prabhu begins hunting for Brindha. Loser monitors his activities through a detector implanted in Robin, leaving very fewer options for them to explore. As the clock ticks, they pull a trick or two from their sleeves to stay ahead of the loser. Did they outsmart the loser? Will Robin be able to find Brindha to save his wife Diana? Is Prabhu trustworthy?

Review :
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and it will stay close to my heart being a chennaite and worked at Ascendas building. The book kept me seized to the end. I love the characterization and had a feeling of watching a movie/Netflix. The story had all the elements - school day crush, distance relationship, arrange marriage, proposal, rejection, family sentiments, the essence of friendship at its best, Sci-fi concepts, tussle between the head/heart and many more. I was engrossed in the story and its itty-bitty suspense.
⏳The cover and title of the book both were impressive.
⏳The writing style is simple and easy to understand.
⏳The author has brilliantly kept the suspense element to the end.
⏳The description of the places was so vividly explained that one can easily visualize them.

👏Kudos to the author on his debut novel! I would love to read more of his collections.

Be careful you might get addicted

Damn!! This book is so irrestible. I couldn’t put it off without completing the whole book in one go. All the characters fall in their place, they feel so original that we could feel they are some neighbouring people that are been described. The arrange marriage and crush thing were so real. The book cover nad title both are apt to the story.

Being a romantic thriller the author was still capable to maintain the essence of humour in between, the past and present weaven so smoothly.

I was most fascinated with the beautiful love quotes between Diana and Robin, this book could have been no better than it us. Just loved each and every part of the story , just awesome. I wanted the book to nvr end. I warn this book may be pretty addictive.

Looking forward for author’s next publish. I hope we get to read new book very soon.

Overall rating- 5 🌟

Thanks to my Brindha who recommended me this book.

Only those who has read the book will be able to know why I thanked 'Brindha'.
After finishing novel I got to know that this is a debut novel. Hadn't expected so.
Interesting and good read!
Very well written with mixture of thriller, romance and even a bit of science fiction. I liked the way past and present stories were shown . The climax was pretty unexpected and suspense was till last and bonus story was also quite good. Also got a glimpse of the arranged marriages of Indian culture which has been well written. Overall A great Novel.. Read A novel for the first time in entire life and just loved it..

Robin and Diana are a happily married couple. Suddenly their beautiful life is disrupted when Diana disappears mysteriously. The only way for Robin to save her is to fulfill a challenge, the kidnapper has given him and that too within a time span of 11 hours. This is the story of a man desperately trying to save his wife from the clutches of a kidnapper.

The book is a fast paced thriller that is well written. Amply dipped in romance, this book is a good blend of suspense and Science (well saying more than this would give away a lot about the story). The language is crisp and the plot, quite unique. Definitely a good read.

11 Hours' is an extremely candid romantic thriller novel penned down by Daniel Paul Singh.
Really had a lot of fun reading it. Its so gripping that I finished it in just 3 days. Salute to Daniel sir, he has really described 'Robin's' love for 'Diana' in a very beautiful manner and to what extent he goes to save her and how his friend 'Prabhu' helps him. He maintained the suspense till the end very well. Couldn't really believe this was his first novel.Hope he keeps coming up with such amazing stories in the near future.

For a debut novel, it is actually very good. Although it suffers from convoluted plot, third-act syndrome and Marvel villain syndrome.
Should have been a simple story, but turns into convoluted movie like plot by introducing confusing SciFi elements and multiple characters out of nowhere (including not so interesting villain).

The book starts with the protagonist's wife Diana missing. The protagonist, Robin, had a happy life with her wife Diana but suddenly his life is devastated.
The kidnapper gives Robin some takes to finish and to do so he has 11 hours.
The book is written smoothly. Cliched on the romantic bits, but the suspense is ample.
Recommended for all the thriller lovers.

Awesome story!!! just loved.. The ending gave some disappointment after taking us through such a thriller. One tiny thing which i feel is an error was on page 42 where it's Oct 29 instead of Oct 20. Maybe it was printing mistake. Overall, i just loved it. Waiting for your next release.

It seems the author is a hard core follower of Sujatha, pattukottai Prabhakaran & Rajesh Kumar (Tamil Thriller novel writers). For the one who sees a lot of South Indian movies (masala ones) this books suits them.

Typical indian pulp romance. The narrative line as well as narration are very weak. There's an exhibition of linguistic incapacity.
