Delivered Through the Storm by Nicole Garcia is the story of Madison Moore and Ryder Storm.
Madison is a new divorce women with two small boys. Madison's ex husband tries to stay out of the pictures unless it convenient for him or he wants to throw his weight around. Madison does have a best friend named Tyler that helps her. Then one morning while running late and trying to get the boys ready a delivery man named Ryder walks into her world. Madison and Ryder are both immediately attracted to one another but both have issue and don't pursue the connection at that time. But they cannot get the other one out of their minds. Even Tyler tries to intervene to hook them up but they both miss the mark. Until Ryder comes in a saves her again but this time he ends up staying and opening his heart. Madison too ends up finding the time for love when she didn't think she could. But there is the ex husband to deal with too.
I will not be able to say enough about this book...I just loved it. It did take me on a emotional trip down 'tear lane' but I couldn't stop reading it until the end.

This story about tore my heart out. Why? Because it very well could be anyone’s story.... Madison’s world consists of work and her two young sons, Aiden, 7 and Caleb, still a baby. She really has no time for anything else ever since her husband Mitch quit on them. She’s a divorced mom just trying to make a life for her little family. Thank god for Tyler, her best friend and coworker. He was there for her through it all and continues to help out with dr.appointments, or picking the boys up just to give Mad a break. You see, Aiden has ADHD, which becomes overwhelming and frustrating even for the most patient of parents, let alone a single one. Tyler wants Madison to get a life, go out, and meet people..... but that’s not going to be necessary because Madison’s future is about to be delivered to her door.
Ryder Storm is about to make the delivery of his life.
The door is answered by a small boy and Ryder is immediately drawn into utter chaos, aka, a typical morning at this address, aka his future!.....
I laughed so hard I teared up, and my heart broke so much I teared up. This is not just a remarkable love story, it’s about kindred spirits coming together to form a special place called home aka family.
I seriously recommend this to 18+ due to adult content.

This is a heartfelt story. I smiles, wanted to punch her ex, snot and tears running down my face and wanted to kick Ryder under the table to tell him, just go for it! Loved this very emotional book.

Reread 8/7/18

This is the second time that I read this book however this is going to be a review of the audiobook itself. If you've ever listened to any of Nicole Garcia's books then you know that Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott or her go to narrators. I have to admit that I have fell in love with these two and they are two narrators that have wonderful chemistry with one another when it comes to narrating any book and not just Nicole's books. I am a sucker for Aiden and Wen did a great job narrating him as well as all the other characters within this book.

Intial Review 12/5/18

Let me just start off with what a wonderful wonderful story. I might be a little biased because I do know Nicole Garcia, who is just fabulous as a person, this book is simply amazing. This story centers around to individuals who has had a rough go at it lately. Ryder is dealing with not feeling confident in his self because of his current career. He isn't where he wants to be in life but he is content with what he is doing. Madison is your quintessential single mom. She is working a full-time job and trying to take care of two little boys who has an absentee father.

The way these to meet is just an everyday occurrence. Nicole didn't have the meeting at a rock concert or being set up by friends she just has them meet accidentally. I love the fact that their entire relationship and the progression of it was natural. It wasn't a instalove situation it was more of a getting to know one another and figuring out what they mean to one another before the 'I love you, marry me, let's have babies stage.'

Ryder is the perfect male character. He is an alpha but not an asshole Alpha. He is sweet and caring and understanding and he understands what it means to want to protect and take care of the people he cares about. The way that he is with Aiden and Caleb is just sweet. He accepts those children as though they came from him and it is very hard to find a man fiction or not to accept children that are biologically not his. I honestly can go on and on about Ryder because he is just everything that a woman would want in a man. He is so swoon-worthy.

SN: Some people just needed to die in the story. Like a slow, drawn-out, painful, brutal death!!

Now that I have gush over Ryder and Madison's relationship now let's talk about the star of the story to me Aiden. I have read a couple books where a child or children are semi main characters in the story. Aiden is no exception, he is a semi main character. Yes, Nicole could have written the story without any interaction with Aiden and Caleb however I don't think the integrity of the story would be the same. When you read the story you will understand why Aiden and Ryder become so close. Ryder does not try to be a daddy to Aiden however Aiden sees Ryder as somebody who he can trust and tell his secrets too.

I would love to see writer and Aiden interact more when Aiden becomes older but that is wishful thinking and hopefully Nicole, hint hint will realize that Aiden is such a hint and write a story about him when he's older. I would also like more Tyler. Tyler is just an amazing character and he needs his shine as well. Also the epilogue in itself is amazing.

(audiobook) I was pleasantly surprised. It’s your regular instalove story, but with two elements that I enjoyed very much.

First, it felt like Ryder first falls in love–in a way–with the kids before he falls for their mother. The parenting-love story between him and Aiden is beautiful and at the center of the book.

The second element is how the author writes learning disabilities. The very real problem they are isn’t brushed over, but the message is positive: you can still succeed–even though it’ll be more difficult–and help is available. Also it doesn’t make you less of a person.

Finally, though I liked Madison, I fell for Ryder. The pierced-tattooed bad boy with a gigantic heart and who isn’t afraid to cry–what’s not to love? Clearly the author loved him and gave him all the nuances needed to make a compelling character.

The audiobook was pretty good, narrated duet style by two excellent narrators. It lacked a bit of sexyness at times, but it was still a pretty good listen.

Quickie

- Series: standalone
- Hashtags: #single mom #bad boy #learning disabilities
- Triggers: N/A
- Main couple: Madison Moore & Ryder Storm
- Hotness: 4/5 (I mean, piercings!)
- Romance: 4/5
- + learning disabilities, what they entail, and how they should be considered, are treated with respect and love
- – I’m getting tired of the gay best friend trope

5 beautifully delivered Stars!
This story hit home and is nestled so deep in my heart. We’re introduced to Madison, a divorced single other of two precious boys Aiden 7 years old and Caleb his baby brother. This woman is a Wonder Woman doing anything and everything for her kids with the help of her best friend that more then family Tyler by her side. When Ryder comes deliver a package things will never be the same from that day forward. I laughed and cried happy tears throughout this story, I will even say that I was ready to knock the teeth out of a certain ex husband Mitch. Tyler is absolutely hilarious throughout the story and will leave you in stitches and Ryder is a man that proves that there are people in this world that act selflessly just because it’s who they are. I’m trying to not give any details about the story itself because you need to read and find out for yourself what happens. I have read work from this author before and I am just blown away by this story. Is so down to earth relatable that I’m going to say this is my favorite one yet. Can you tell how much I love this story. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Well now, that was an emotional roller coaster! I love it when a book really takes me along for the ride with the characters and this one delivers.

I was totally in love with Ryder and it only took about 10% of the book, where can I find one like this?

I really enjoyed to ebbs and flows of the story and the different turns that it took, at time I was saying 'yes, do that' and at others 'no, what are you thinking'.

If you're after a romance that will tug at your heart strings then this one is a winner!

I received an advanced readers copy of this book at my request and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Madison is left with 2 small children after her husband Mitch left and then they divorced. He mentally abused Madison and had no patience with Aiden who is 7 years old and has ADHD and Caleb who is only 2 years old. Thank God for her best friend, Tyler who is her angel. He helps her so much with the children and wants her to get out and have a life again. In comes Ryder who is thrown into the chaos of Madison's family, into their lives and hearts.

I laughed, cried (have tissues ready) and rooted for these remarkable people. This is real-to-life story that could happen to anyone and I loved it. I highly recommend it and recommend for 18+ due to adult content.

Wow...just Wow! Nicole Garcia has hit a grand slam home run with this book. This story grabbed me and pulled me in from the first page to the last! I fell in love with the characters and felt like they were old friends. This story brought out so many emotions...happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, and sizzling heat. I cheered for Ryder and Madison striving for their happily ever after. Did they achieve it? I highly recommend you read this book to find out. You will be glad you did!

Madison is a single mother with two young boys whose doing it all after her husband left her. With her ex husband Mitch leaving couldn’t be the best thing that happened. Tyler her gay bff has been there for her through everything. From work to helping out with the boys.

That was until a delivery man named Ryder will change her whole world. Ryder has had his share of women, but no one has ever captured his heart and gave him the confidence as Madison.

Ryder and Madison will go through everything and even face losing one of Madison son in a storm. Can they make it work or will something tear them apart?

A must read!

This was SUCH a great book! I love Nicole's story telling, she makes the images so vivid in my mind. As both the mother of an Autistic child and a Mom who shares children with an ex, I could so easily relate to Madison, her inner struggle and everything she wanted for her kids, I even cried at one point remembering my own similar struggle (can't explain, spoilers!). I also could relate so much to Ryder, I had issues when I was younger and I also lost my Dad at a young age, so this book was so realistic and relateable on so many levels. I laughed with them and cried with them and will put it away hoping maybe we see these characters somewhere in another book, maybe not as main characters but happily living their lives together somewhere interacting with some other main characters, maybe one day she'll tell Tyler's or Quito's story or something. Well done Nicole, buy this book people!

Want a feel good story for anytime of the year? This story really hit me hard in the feels. Love all the characters because they were REAL. Ryder, sexy, smart, funny, hard-working, protective - what's not to love. Madison, survivor of domestic abuse - not physical, but verbal which I think is even worse, awesome mom of two trying to be everything to everyone. Throw is a couple of off the charts cute kids and it's a story to warm even the coldest of hearts. The support for each other is exactly what should happen in life. Of course, there's a few bumps in the road, but I love how neither one gave up and knew they had a good thing together. The story was realistic which made it even more awesome. Thank you for a great book.

❤~🌟~❤ 4 SWOONY STARS! ❤~🌟~❤

Nicole Garcia DELIVERED a delightfully sexy and heartwarming single mom tale that left me smiling from ear to ear!

THE PREMISE:
Madison Moore is a harried yet fiercely devoted single mom of two young sons who is trying to do right by her boys all by herself because their deadbeat dad has been not been stepping up to the plate. Even though she’s too proud to admit it, she needs help shouldering all her responsibilities. Enter Ryder Storm, a hunky delivery man who crashes into their lives. Sparks immediately fly between Madison and Ryder but even more importantly he forges a special relationship with her two boys and lends a helping hand whenever Madison finds herself in bind. He forms a particularly close bond with her special needs older son, Aiden, who has a diagnosed learning disability which strikes a personal chord in Ryder.

Instant lust ignites between Ryder and Madison, and as he fills the missing void in the Moore’s lives, he also discovers what’s been lacking in his lonely bachelor existence. But Madison has been burned in love and barely has time to shower and get to work on time much less find time in her life for romance. But Ryder is one determined and sexy as sin man who refuses to take no for an answer. He knows he’s the guy who can heal her broken heart and be the man her kids deserve. If only he gets the chance. Can these two get a second chance at love and build a new life as a loving family unit?

MY MUSINGS:
I love single parent tales and DELIVERED THROUGH THE STORM truly hit all the right notes! This is my first book by Nicole Garcia and most definitely won’t be my last! I love her warm, breezy style of writing and there was a genuine raw honesty to this story that really touched me. The MCs were fantastic. Madison was such a sympathetic and courageous heroine—her journey as a divorced mom who’d been cheated on and abandoned by her ex was charged with poignancy and emotion—and Ryder was just a DREAMBOAT! Sexy and sweet, chivalrous and charming, he truly was the total package!

While this story is heartwarming in tone it delves into some pretty serious issues, including dealing with single parenthood and the challenge of raising a child with special needs. As for the romance, I found Ryder and Madison to be absolutely ADORABLE together! They clicked immediately, the sex scenes were combustible, and the sweet tenderness that flowed between them made my heart skip a beat! And while there was a nice amount of emotionally charged conflict to keep things interesting, I also found it refreshing that this book was relatively low on angst and that the characters surrendered to their feelings pretty effortlessly as opposed to the constant push-pull which I find frustrating a times. As for the secondary cast, Aiden and Caleb were too cute for words and I thoughts Madison’s best friend Tyler was a hoot!

THE NARRATION:
Once again, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott brought this story to life with their sweet, sexy and endearing performances. Performed in duet style you really felt the smoldering chemistry between these two. They were the perfect combo of sweet and spicy and I found Kai’s portrayal of a stressed out, loving single mom to be extremely relatable and right on point! She brought the character's aching vulnerability and feistiness to the surface beautifully and I totally rooted for her from page one! And sighhh….Wen was the PERFECT Ryder. His delivery was equal parts swoony and gruffly sexy and I just ADORED his interactions with Madison’s sons. His ability to shift back and forth between Ryder’s voice and that of her two young sons was mighty impressive. I truly felt how much this character cared for the Moore family and yearned to make a home with them via Wen’s nuanced performance. And, of course, his deep, rumbly chuckle gave me goosebumps!

BOTTOM LINE:
If you are in the mood for a poignant, captivating and steamy single mom tale that delivers on every level then you won’t want to pass this book up!

Madison is used to weathering heartache. With storm clouds consistently circling overhead will she even notice when fate sees to bring some long overdue sunshine her way? Delivered Through the Storm is a tale about life. Garcia brings a heartbreaking realism to those who are not born with a silver spoon or a gold cup waiting in the wings. She gives voice to the underdog. A single mother who has lost the ability to see the bright side and the determined man that wants to give her hope. With emotional narration and relatable storytelling, Ryder and Madison prove that life and love can be sweeter the second time around.

WOW! This author knows how to get the reader every time. Madison is raising her sons the best she can while trying to get to work on time each day, thankfully her best friend is happy to cover for her when her mornings get crazy. On one of those mornings she meets Ryder who's delivering a package and gets caught in the world wind of her morning when one of her son's answers the door. Then the story really begins!

A story filled with laughter, tears, romance of course, best friends and a crazy ex. What is a little different in this story is one of Madison's kids has ADHD which is tough for both the kid and parent but Ryder is amazing with this little boy and it helps he has his own secret. A wonderful story that only this author can tell!

I listened to the audio version of this book. My book choices lean towards the dark side and this book was definitely not in my wheelhouse. Nicole is also a new author to me. I loved it. It was a nice change from my norm and Kai and Wen were absolutely perfect in the roles of Ryder and Madison. Aiden was by far one of my favorite characters and Wen absolutely nailed it. He seriously stole my heart. The book was sweet and a perfect easy listen. I will definitely be checking out more books by Ms. Garcia as well as those narrated by Kai and Wen.

I loved this story. The idea of a love of family growing in your heart instead of blood always touches my heart. Ryder didn't know what to expect the one day he delivered a package to Madison.
Nicole Garcia has this way of creating this great cast of characters from the adults' interactions with the kids.
I can't wait for more of this world.

I’m on the fence between three stars and four. There was a lot I liked and didn’t like in this story. First with the didnt likes. Madison. I couldn’t stand her. Seriously the chick needs therapy, the inpatient kind. Even down to the last page, still didn’t like her. She was wishy washy. Saying no, then go into doormat mode, and enough with the bleeding tears. Her character had no growth, no development. Honestly she didn’t deserve Ryder, not without getting some professional help. She was like a discount, knock-off stepford wife. Ok, rant over. Now Ryder loved his character. He had growth, development, strength, and was a joy to read. It’s like the characters were night and day. His friends that were more like family was a hoot. The boys, aiden and Caleb, was funny, sweet, and adorable. Aiden has so much character. They had growth, and development. I loved their ending with Ryder. Overall, other than Madison, the story progressed well, and had me hooked. I think if it could be done, I’d give it 3 ¾ Stars. In my opinion if there was a different female lead it would be a knock out 5 Stars. Could be me, grab your copy and see for yourself. Trust me you’ll want Ryder’s story.

When your author has you laughing, crying and cheering on the characters. Not to mention getting hot and not really a bother;-) , she's done her job in her art! Nicole Garcia brought all of that and more!
Ryder is everything a woman could ask for and Madison is the lucky woman who gets him! That is if she can get past her own insecurities and an asshole ex-husband!

There are so many sweet moments between Madison and Ryder that make this story so special. I love a good realistic romance and this one is so awesome and heart warming that I kind of wish that it was my story.

I usually like the books from Nicole Garcia that I have read so far. But this one I just really couldn't stand the heroine Madison or her ex Mitch. I found her very irritating and couldn't stand her. Other than that I liked all the other characters. Ryder and Aiden are my favorite. I enjoyed some of the story.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.

Nicole Garcia has done it again. I love her words, the way she blends serious subjects with humour and light-heartedness really works well. I couldn’t help but love it. Her writing always captures my attention and my heart. This book was sweet and charming, and emotional. But it was also hilarious. And steamy, oh yes, the steam was there, not that I ever doubted it. This is the perfect single mother story, I haven’t read many, all the single parent stories I seem to come across are single fathers, so this was a nice change. It doesn’t sugar coat Madison’s situation, she’s a struggling single working mum and that shows throughout the story, which only made it more real.
The cover? Holy hotness. I love this cover so much. Especially the gift tag with the narrators' names on the audio edition, that was such a cute touch.

So many wonderful characters in this book. I loved them all… except for Mitch, he’s not nice at all, I hated him.
Ryder is all the things. I want to know why my delivery guy is nothing like him. He’s funny, charming, sexy and caring. The way he is with Mads children is just *swoon* He’s the type of guy every single mother hopes they will meet.
Madison is such a sweet woman, she’s got so much going on, it’s a wonder she’s even functioning. But she is, and she’s caring for her boys and doing all she can, it’s beautiful. I was so happy to see her open herself up to some happiness with Ryder.
The children are the cutest things, especially Aiden, he plays such a pivotal role in their story and I loved how that was conveyed. Oh, oh, and Tyler, he needs a HEA too, he is the sweetest and funniest person ever. I think we all need a Tyler in our lives.

I loved how their relationship built and progressed. It was beautiful. Ryder at first was just into the pretty woman he’d met, nothing wrong with that, but once he spent a little time with Madison it was obvious he was falling for her and her kids. Madison tried to fight it but thankfully Ryder was persistent, and he worked his way into her heart. The children played such a huge part of their relationship and the way that was handled was perfection, the worries Madison had made perfect sense. It didn’t stop me from cursing her though. The little angst was suited to the story and thankfully didn’t last too long.

I do love a duet narration and Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross always deliver. Always! Their voices blend so well together, I was definitely looking forward to hearing how they were going to perform these characters and they were perfect as Madison and Ryder. Wen also did a brilliant job voicing seven-year-old Aiden and I must say, it was those scenes, between Ryder and Aiden that I had the most reactions too. It was just beautiful. Emotional, but beautiful. Kai, I adored how she chose to voice Madison, it was a little deeper than I’m used to hearing from her and it worked really well for the character and showed another side to her talent. As for the steamy moments, sheesh, can these two perform a sex scene with conviction. I listened to this audio in a day, I just couldn't put it down. The production was fine with no issues.
