I liked the story well enough until the hero finds out who the heroine is and how their families are connected. Then the story seemed to fall apart for me. The hero had no balls and ran away. The only reason they saw each other again was by chance (not because the hero realised it was stupid to blame the heroine for something that had nothing to do with HER) so that didn't sit well with me. But what completely ruined the story for me was the heroine's father.

Stunning Read!!

This story will grab your heart and seep into your soul!

Hope needs a getaway from the city and life in general. What she doesn't know is that fate will step in and show her what she really needs.

Gabe is just so swoon worthy! The perfect BBF! He literally stole my heart. And when his back story comes to light, well, it broke my heart.

This is just one of those books that you can't get enough of. Michelle Windsor has cemented herself as an automatic one click for me!

A chance encounter, a weekend to fall in love, and a secret that exposes heartbreaking truths.
A first read by this author, and I was intrigued and entertained. Two opposites -- who definitely attracted the other. Both characters were easy to like -- and my heart broke right along with theirs. A little slow in parts but an easy and fulfilling day of reading.

This is the first time I have read this author and it certainly won’t be my last. Losing Hope had me captivated from the start.

Hope works at her father’s publishing house as an executive. She loves her job and loves her father, but she needed a break. She was working too much trying to forget the betrayal of finding her boyfriend in a compromising position. She decided to take a weekend for herself at her family’s beautiful lake home. Of course, it’s storming, and she is struggling to make it to the lake home. Just her luck! She notices a car stranded in the middle of the road and out steps a man. He flags her down and asks her if he could use her phone or if he could get a ride. Hope was cautious but ended up giving him a ride to the lake home, so he could make some calls.

Gabe is ex-military and a photographer. He had just photographed a friend’s wedding that day and found himself stranded on a deserted road with a dead phone and pouring rain. Then came an angel in her Range Rover to the rescue! They made it to the lake home and then the magic happened. They talked, laughed and as the evening wore on the chemistry was off the charts. They enjoyed their time together and shared some very tender and sexy moments as they decided to spend the weekend together. What happens when the weekend is over and they return to their lives? She is an heiress to a publishing house and he is a photographer. Can they make it work? You will have to read it to find out!

This is an insta-love story that is very well done. The characters are well developed and the story flows well. Their chemistry is off the charts! I grew to care about the characters and I was devastated when truths were revealed. This story has love, loss, lies, betrayal, and the world Hope thought was true is turned on its axis. I was riveted, and I had to keep turning those pages because I had to find out what happened and I wasn’t disappointed.

I highly recommend this terrific love story.

Losing Hope is a good read. It was a quick read for me because Gage and Hope pulled me into the story. Hope comes from money. In the beginning, she's hopping on a private jet to go to family lake house in Vermont and with that I thought she was going to be an uptight rich girl but she's not. Hope is really a down to earth person.

Gage is a sexy photographer who finds himself with a broken car on the side of a road in Vermont. Hope is on the same road and although she is cautious she still picks him up. There is an instant connect between the two. I thought that their only obstacle when leaving the cabin would be their different in income but that wasn't even an issue. The obstacle that they have was a surprise and it provided an interesting twist to the story.

Michelle Windsor was on my list of authors to read and I chose this one to be my first read by her because it was shorter in page length then her other ones but now I will definitely check out other books by her.

I absolutely loved this story!! This is the story of Hope and Gage. Both have suffered loss. Both have lived with crushing heartache. Yet you could not have two more different people. Even though they have painful pasts, fate steps in and intercedes and what happens next is pure kismet!! And unbeknownst to them, they both have something in their life in common. Something that will change not only their relationship but their relationships with their families. And when this bombshell emerges neither knows how to make life work with or without the other. But once again fate steps in......can they both find a way to make it work? This is a story of grief, heartache and betrayal but it is also a story of love and healing!! It's emotional and raw but it is so worth the read!!

This story has a little bit of everything, it was sweet, sexy and funny too. Gage and Hope’s story is fun and light but intense at times and I could feel their chemistry from the moment they met and I was hooked.

Gage is a sweet, stranded photographer, he’s funny and cooks and he's definitely not a serial killer! Lucky for him Hope is trusting and just simply nice. She plans to spend the weekend recovering from a bad relationship and because of good timing she meets Gage. They are so perfect for each other right down to her being his half! Love it!! I love how they met and the set up for the weekend…the steamy scenes....nicely done!!!

Losing Hope is my first book by Michelle Windsor and I’d definitely read more from this author. She did a great job of setting the scene and delivering a complete and well-rounded story; she even made me cry. This was an easy reading feel good story.

This is my third book by Ms. Windsor and I was lucky enough to be able to read this as an ARC. Now, may I just stop for a moment to say how much I loved it? It was just the right mix of sweet and steamy and realistic...this story truly seemed like something that could have happened to a friend you might know. Or maybe even yourself lol. The dialogue was on point, the emotions Gage and Hope experience as they fall in love over such a short time frame and wonder if its "real" or just a product of the moment, the sense of betrayal that ensues--all of it wonderfully written. The whole story moved along at a brisk pace with few slow parts, not too many extra characters to worry with, and there's even a brief appearance of Andrew and Hannah from the first two books!

A very enjoyable read and well done, Michelle!

Michelle Windsor is an amazing author and after reading this enchanting book you will agree. This is a book about unexpected meetings, love, betrayal, truth, forgiveness, and hope. This is a book that will stick with you long after you finish it, and make you feel like you experienced it. The attraction between Gage and Hope at their first meeting was so electric, you needed them to get together. But sometimes the past comes back and makes things complicated, and makes things that should be something that shouldn't be. Will forgiveness make happiness possible or will happiness stay out of reach? Thank you for letting me read and ARC and write a honest review.

Wow I'm in love with this amazing love story!!! It's an easy as pie, falling in love at first sight, honest love story.

Hope is recovering from an intense heartbreak after walking in on her boyfriend with another woman.
Gage is broken down on the side of the mountain in the pouring rain with no cell service.

Fate has other plans for these two that includes a cabin, fire and no power.
I think I was engrossed into their lives so much I didn't see the shattering of hearts until it was too late.

It's an long and tough road that gives these two such an amazing love story but it is completely worth it.

Hope and Gage are the type of couple that seems to just work. You want to see them make it. You cheer for them in every aspect of their story. You’ll want to smack both of them to snap out of their stupidity’s and yes both of them! You fall for them! I loved their time together. Michelle’s writing has really blossom. Her description to details literally had me visualizing the scenes as she described them. I felt like I was right there with the characters! I love everything about this book. Only downside is, it left me wanting more of this couple. I know it’s a stand-alone but really want more of them!

Hope was broken after finding her boyfriend cheating on her. She planned sme time away and in her travels to her family home she came upon a stranger, broken down and soaking wet from the poring rain.

Gage. Rescued by an angel. Can you fall in love in just a weekend? When you find your other half, yes you can. The love and devotion Gage showed Hope made her realize what true love was.

The past will always tear it's ugly head at the wrong times and when Gage finds out who her father is does he have the strength to stay, or will he leave his other half in heartbreak and despair?

Some secrets should never be kept. Such a great read and love story.

This was my first book by the author , but won't be my last. The characters were so well written it felt like you were watching the story unfold from there eyes.Hope came from a wealthy family , but you wouldn't know it as you got to know her character. Gage he was a gentleman who like to experience life at the hands of a camera. Every photo he took you could feel the emotions he felt by taking the photos. Gage and hope have to find out if love is really enough to keep them together as the secrets are revealed. Definitely a happy feel good read.

I absolutely love this book! Sweet, sad, sexy...unbelievable in every way! Michelle really knocked it out of the park with this one. Hope and Gage are an amazing couple. Both of them are independent and strong on their own - but together? EXPLOSIVE! I love how well developed the characters are - and I love the fact that they follow their feelings irregardless of time. Of course there are a few twists and turns and that makes the storyline even more incredible. Great job! Absolutely recommend this book!!!

This is the first book I have read from this author, her writing was easy and flowed well; her characters were well developed and the storyline did hold my interest. This was a relatively easy and quick read.

Gage and Hope's initial meeting was different and made me stop and wonder whether I would have been as kind as Hope! Both Gage and Hope were strong characters and you wondered how they would work together. They were passionate, and fiery and tried to hide their real emotions.

Overall this was a good story with passion, drama and eventually a happy ending.

My hunt for 'Suprise, I'm pregnant' stories continues ...
While the blurb was what got me at first, the execution did not fly.
There was just no chemistry whatsoever.
In fact, the beginning was extremely draggy, on and on about how the couple spent their weeks in Vermont.
I was quickly skimming and flipping over the pages, hoping to find my 'climax' but did not encounter any.
When it finally revealed the pinnacle ... the whole explanation that followed after just ... did not make sense aka super forced.
Hence, not only was the whole story dreary and monotonous, it fell flat.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read anything like this before. Even on my Kindle, the story completely pulled me in, but not in the usual way. The characters feel alive, the plot twists feel clever and unexpected, and there’s a depth here that caught me off guard. This book made me feel, think, and smile in ways I didn’t see coming. Truly unforgettable.

Losing Hope was a really good read- every page was filled with depth and passion. I didn't want to put this book down once I started reading it!

Hope Yorke, a very wealthy New York businesswoman and socialite, was headed to her Vermont vacation home for some much needed rest and relaxation. She was exhausted from both a punishing workload as the VP of her father's publishing company, and a very recently broken heart.

Driving through a rainstorm on a deserted stretch of road, Hope encounters a disabled vehicle and its driver, the amazingly handsome ex-Marine Gage Flynn. Gage was on his way out of Vermont after doing some photography work for his friend's wedding, only to have his rental car die out on the road with no help in sight. Unable to call for help due to a combination of dead cell batteries and no signal, Hope decides to take a risk and brings Gage to her home to use the phone.
They arrive to find a power outage, which also disables the phone at the house, so Hope allows Gage to spend the night. Dinner, wine, and a powerful attraction combine into an explosively passionate encounter that shocks them both. One night turns into a week as the couple continues spending time together, falling more for each other with every passing day. Hope and Gage make plans to continue their relationship once back in New York, but when they arrive at the hangar to board Hope's company jet, Gage makes a painful discovery that has him walking away from a bewildered Hope with no explanation other than that she should ask her father for answers...

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this one. Taking a chance on a new author is always a bit of a gamble, but this time it really paid off! I was pulled into the story right from the very start, and I had to set aside everything else that I had planned for the afternoon because I needed to see what was going to happen next. I loved the time that the couple spent together in Vermont. There was just such a carefree feel to their relationship- a genuine affection for one another that drew me in and made me root for them to succeed. There was most definitely the insta-lust/love factor, but I think it worked here because of the couple's isolated surroundings. The love scenes were very sexy and quite hot, but worked well within the story.

I felt just as stunned as Hope when Gage walked away at the airport! Once I found out why he had, I wasn't sure how the author was going to be able to get this couple back together again. I will say that the second half of the story helped to make the couple's love more believable, since the author allowed for considerably more time to pass as the characters learned the truth about the past.
I did struggle a bit with some of the details that got revealed toward the end of the story, although the events had happened far before the current couple ever met. I also liked that the author showed that the characters needed to take some time to process their pain, which made their forgiveness seem more legitimate. The epilogue was very sweet, and it left me with a smile on my face.

I received an ARC from BookSprout (although I also picked up my own finished copy!) and I voluntarily chose to write an honest review.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the Author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have read other books by this author and have just loved everything she writes. Ms. Windsor just knows how to draw in the reader with her stories.

In this book we have Hope Yorke, who has always had a privileged life. Her family has always been blessed with wealth and fortune. Hope graduated with honors from Columbia University. She is the Senior VP of US Publishing firm her father owns and runs. She is the youngest Senior VP in the publishing companies history. She found her boyfriend of the past two years cheating on her. She is headed up for the weekend to her escape house up in Vermont. Her private jet takes her from NYC up to Vermont for her weekend get away. When the jet lands it’s raining cats and dogs out and she glad she has the four wheel drive Ranger Rover to get to her house. Along the way she almost runs right into another car.

A man is standing outside her car trying to get her help. Gage Flynn, a photographer from NYC was up in Vermont to shoot a friends wedding. Little did he know his rental car would die out in the middle of know where. Trapping him out in the rain and no one down this road in the past 2 hrs. Gage is so happy when he finally see’s the Rang Rover come up behind him. He gets out of the car and into the rain to ask for a ride. Once he see’s Hope he knows he is in trouble. She is so beautiful. Gage asks for a ride to town. Hope turns him down saying he could be a serial killer for all she knew. Gage promised her he wasn’t.

Hope allows Gage into the car and they set off to her house. Once they arrive they find the power out and Hope is still leary of him. Although he hasn’t tried to hurt her yet.

Gage and Hope although they are strangers they seem to have a spark around each other. Hope finds that being around Gage is super easy and she likes being with him. She finds out that he can cook and instantly takes a liking to him.

Gage’s feels the same way about Hope. It is easy for him to be around her. They aren’t sure where this instant chemistry comes from.

Gage and Hope spend four days together talking, making love, and sight seeing. Gage and Hope make plans to get together and see each other once they are back in NYC. However, once they get on Hope’s private plan Gage realizes who she is, who her father is. Gage leaves. No explanation. Nothing. Hope is devestated.

Will Gage be able to confront Hope and tell her what is going on and why he left? Will Hope be able to find out what is going on? Will they be able to have a future and be with one another?

I am ashamed to say that I own two other books by Michelle Windsor, but haven't read them yet. However, I am glad that I got a chance to read Losing Hope! I was captivated by the first sentence! Windsor has a way with words that not many authors do. She weaves a story that you can not help, but fall in love with once you start reading it.

Hope is a workaholic, and when she comes home to find her boyfriend has cheated on her, she decided it is time to spend some time reflecting on life. Fate always steps in when you least expect it. On her way to her impromptu vacation, she gets stuck in a horrible storm. It seems that destiny was at play because along the way she runs into Gabe and an ex-military man who was photographing his friend's wedding. However, Gabe has found himself with a dead phone and stranded on a deserted road. Hope is exactly what he had been waiting for, and although skeptical at first she decided to give him a ride to find a phone.

What should have been a short and simple farewell turns into a weekend full of laughs, tender moments, and some hot and steamy sexy filled nights. Gabe and Hope could not be more different, so although the sparks flew during their weekend getaway what will awake them come Monday morning?

This is an insta-love story that has well developed and chemistry that leaps right off the pages.! Windsor does an amazing job of ensuring that we fall madly in love with all of the character so that when she drops a bombshell on Hope and Gabe, we the reader are just as devastated of the two of them. Losing hope is a story that has all the making for the best read of your life! There is love, betrayal, lies, and completely makes us all question what we thought was real, to begin with.

A true page turner from the start! I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a story that grabs you from the very start. I promise once you star you will not be able to put it down until you have finished.

**** I received this ARC from the Author at no cost ***
