As a contributor, I have been enjoying two stories a night since the book's release. Tim reads one and I choose one. And sometimes we laugh; sometimes we cry. Of course, we love "Rocky Mountain Dream" since it's our love story, but we are both inspired and thrilled for so many who have experienced The Miracle of Love. It's a summer read that will be a classic...love stories that are true are timeless! Get it! You won't be disappointed...and if you're seeking love, I think this might give you hope and belief that it will happen to YOU!
I decided to buy this when I found out my cousin's wife had the story of how they met published in this book...Love on the Parkway ~ I love their story!!! To be in the exact right place in the exact right time?! Awesome.
I'm sure I would have read this book anyway because anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE hearing true stories of how people met. I almost always will ask a couple how they met, and they always light up when they tell their story.
My favorite section of the book was the one called Meant to Be...and especially the story entitled Kismet...which I won't say anything else about because the spoiler is just so amazing. The Face in the Window and The Three Signs were a couple more that gave me chills when I read them.
I read the soft cover edition...for some reason Goodreads is only displaying e-book & kindle editions.
Whether love is in the air or you haven’t had a relationship in months, these stories of love will have you feeling warm all over.
The stories cover a wide range of love and is separated into chapters titled:
Friends First Worth the Wait Love at First Sight How We Met Divine Intervention Happily Ever Laughter In Sickness and in Happiness Meant to Be When I Knew When I Least Expected It The Second Time Around Keeping the Love Alive
I always love reading Chicken Soup for the Soul books and this one was no different. I really enjoyed the divine intervention section. If faith is important to you, you will enjoy that section too.
If you are like me, you will find yourself making comparisons between your love (past or present) and the stories.
This book is a collection of 101 short love stories. Each one tells about a couple's first encounter and eventual marriage, shared in their own words. These are touching, real-life stories, some starring young couples, others involving couples in their later years. I enjoyed the surprising number of people that experienced what they termed "divine intervention" in coming together. I was amazed to read how some individuals-more than I would have guessed-experienced a "love at first sight" awareness that led to long marriages. These are sweet and sentimental stories that renew the heart's belief in the possibility of actually finding friendship and romance in a soul mate.
If you're looking for love, just found a new love, or are celebrating your forever love, this is the perfect book to read. My story is called "Ditto" - I had so much fun writing this one, although Brad wasn't too happy about it. He got over it quickly though after we received email after email about our story. This is just a happy, feel-good book about love.
Sweet stories of how couples met and began their own love stories. Except for the few that originated online, none of them were doing anything 'special' to meet someone other than being with their friends - who seemed to introduce them more often than not, or knowing someone from the past, etc.
Love is not just for the young and foolish, but also for the old and wise. The book is a compilation of short love stories penned by people from all walks of life. From stories of new beginnings to stories of love that stood the test of time, each one is uplifting and renews hope in love.
Among the 101 stories, I found The Three Signs and The Face in the Window to be especially uncanny. These two, like some others as well, involved some supernatural elements which amped up the spookiness a bit.
All in all, this book is for everyone. Whether you have already found the love of your life or are still looking, the love stories will inspire you all the same. Look out, you never know when love might come knocking on your door.
