Secrets Apart

Throughout the years, I have had many different, and I think, interesting jobs including a professional bra fitter and a wedding registry consultant, meeting interesting and inspiring people. I am most proud of my history working in the medical field, first in nursing and now as a volunteer firefighter and EMT along with my husband.
I have been fortunate enough to also be a stay-at-home mom to three wonderful boys. Now, I hope to inspire them to chase their dreams no matter how long the journey.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. The storyline was well written. I loved the characters especially the alpha men.
Piper was portrayed as an intelligent and self sufficient woman but, sometimes it was like watching a thriller movie and yelling at the stupid decisions they made.
I did love Cole and Piper’s chemistry. My favorite parts of the book were Cole and his friends, their characters were unique and loyal. I loved how their interacted as a unit.
There were many mysteries to the storyline that keep you guessing. Don’t pass this one by, it was a good suspenseful read.

This is one of those stories that I found myself thinking it would be just another story. Well, I found myself pulled in and not wanting to stop reading even to sleep. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat and trying to figure out who was after Piper and can the men of ACMS Securities keep her safe?
Piper is living the life, she is an interior designer and one of the best. While out with her BFF's one night, she sees the last person she wants to see. Cole is the ex-boyfriend who left her without a word years ago. Now she has to talk to him because her BFF's want to talk to the guys he is with. Funny how the sparks and chemistry are still there between them. She will give Cole some time because he will be gone tomorrow.
Cole can't believe he has found Piper, the only woman he has ever loved. But after their time together, he still leaves as planned. So why after a year, she is at his place of business? Is she trying to destroy him again?
When Piper explains what has been happening at her apartment, Ashton is very concerned. He wants to explore more. But he wants to make sure Piper isn't playing Cole's feelings. When the members of ACMS Securities learns what is really going on, they are all very protective of Piper and anyone close to her.
Will they find out who is after her? Can Cole and Piper make this work even when he learns about her secret? Can Piper trust Cole not to run again? Is Piper's past all a lie?
This is a first for me from M.A. Hill and all I can say is this is one fantastic romantic suspense. I loved everything about it. And I can't wait for Hannah's story. So if you are looking for a new author or just a great romantic suspense, then read this one, I hope you love it as much as I have.

Wonderful debut book for this author. I read it start to finish in one day. The characters were compelling, complex and there were a lot of emotions back and forth between them. I could feel their hurt, anger, and even their love for each other. Piper and Cole met and fell in love in college. Both had baggage at the time, but seemed to bring the best out in each other. Cole started getting possessive and angry all the time, but wouldn’t talk to Piper about what the problems were. One day he just disappears with out a word. 4 years later she is in a bar with her girlfriends, and Cole and a group of his friends walk in. Piper is still angry because he left her w/out saying anything. Cole sees her and wants her back. They have a one-night stand in which Piper leaves before Cole wakes up, only leaving him a note goodbye. There are things in her current life that she is not ready to share with him and is afraid of getting hurt if they get involved again. 18 months later Piper is desperate for help. Someone has been breaking into her apartment and moving things around. No one believes her until the stalker leaves a message on her bathroom mirror. She is so afraid that she finally breaks down and goes to Cole’s Security Company for help. Will he and his team help her? He is still hurt and angry for the way she left him 18 months ago, and his team is protective of him. This book has a very in-depth plot with lots of thrilling developments, suspense and family revelations. I would call it a Romantic-thriller-mystery story. Good fast paced book that will keep you guessing until the end. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This is the first book of M.A. Hill's that I have read and I absolutely loved every minute. There is suspense, heartache, sexual tension, sexual satisfaction, love and surprises. I never wanted to put the book down and when I got to the end I was ready for the next book.
Cole had a really bad childhood but he went to college where he met Piper. Piper lost her parents a few months before she graduated from high school then she went to college where she met Cole. Their chemistry was off the charts but unfortunately life always seems to take you on a different path. Can Cole and Piper find their way back together? Will a secret keep them apart of being them together? Will Piper be able to survive the danger that is lurking around? Will Cole find Piper in time to save her?

Amazing writing style makes this story absolutely worth the time reading it. It is captivating and has a great storyline and plot.
The characters are so well described and develops great through the book. They have a steamy chemistry and attraction towards each other.

This 5-Star worthy book is first in the ACMS Securities series and it features Cole and Piper. Wow! Their connection is intense, explosive and ultra sexy. Cole just might be the most intense alpha man I’ve ever met. There could be no woman better suited for him than Piper. They can read each other so well, their connection is almost telepathic.
The danger and suspense is exhilarating! The plot is brilliant and I felt consumed by it through the entire book. The characters were fantastic and I can’t wait for book two!

It's full of action, suspense , Intrigue .So well written . The storyline is great . It has Love , romance ,lots of Hot times . It checks off all my boxes .

Who am I?
Piper has felt alone since her parents died. She thinks she knows who her mom and dad were but finds out differently. Cole is her college sweetheart who left her suddenly not knowing she was pregnant. This story has a lot of action as well as heart stopping romance. I got upset when I had to stop reading and get work accomplished.
