This is a life time deal where you can grab both paperback as well as kindle version for lowest price now!! Cover: Front cover of the book is beautifully designed, eye catching and after reaching a certain point of the book, I can say that the cover is appropriate for the book. Title: The title of the book is thought provoking, unique and it is aptly justified indeed. Language & narration: Language of the book is consists of quite rich (in meaning) words at places and I was amazed by seeing some really uncommon classy words while going through some specific chapters of the book. I generally give attention to words just to see what type of words are being used to ornament the sentence aptly I appreciate every time to come across any word that I am not familiar with previously and on that aspect, this book has a lot in store for readers like me. Beside this, I want to say that the narrating style of author is quite mature and gripping enough to keep the reader hooked with the book till the end. To the point description and without any exaggeration, the short chapters along with the fast pace narration made this book a quick and interesting read. Plot: As the story reveals the journey of four individuals from different backgrounds, keeping this in mind I would like to say that the plot has been crafted very thoughtfully and sensibly in a captivating way with some sub plots to carry on with according to the storyline. Setting: The base setting of the story is United Kingdom, but later with time, little glimpses of India, Pakistan are also there. Characterization: The crystal clear characterization is the most positive point of this book. Author has portrayed the main four characters and developed them so well that every reader will be able to visualize their journey and connect themselves with the root of the characters. Not only the major 4 characters, but the other characters are also justifying accordingly and thus made the book a compact look. The main four characters are Arjun, Eva Williams, Jesper Ouzanien & Sara Quereshi. The other characters are as follows- Ali, Khan, Professor Nick, Aline, Kelly, Thompson, Caroline, Jonny, Eddie, Mohamed aka Mo, Leo, Jay Patel, Clara, Karan, Amelia, Mr. Robert, * Max (Dog). Theme: Struggle & Success, Inspirational, Motivational, Romantic, Love, Friendship, Sensational. Story in a nutshell: The story revolves around the lives of four youngsters they had almost nothing in common as their background was different from each other; but just one single thing was common between them which is that all of them learnt very tough and important lessons of life from their past and that too in different ways. Indian boy Arjun landed himself in London University to pursue his Master Degree. Jesper (who was a British musician) was his classmate and best friend in college. They had different dreams with different ideologies. Arjun believed in love and wanted to win in someone’s heart and win in life while Jesper was a practical person with passion for music in his eyes. He had a clear dream of becoming a music director someday in near future & he had more than enough potential in him for that too. But his past shattered his inner feelings towards family relationships & love, and that’s why he was never serious about any girl or that particular feeling called ‘Love’. He used to have physical relationships with girls and then dumped them after having pleasure. Arjun was fully a believer of love and he had fallen head over hills for a girl named Eva who was also a classmate of Arjun from the same college. Eva rejected Arjun quite a few times previously and she was not a bit interested of making relationship with Arjun, because she also had past in her upbringing and something refrained her from heading into relationships. But Arjun left no stone unturned to convey his feelings to Eva. Here on the other hand, Jesper came across a ‘bartender’ named Sara in the college pub and found her unusual than others, and he tried to get what he wanted always, from Sara. Sara (from Pakistan) too had a dark and devastating past and that’s why she never wanted to be in a committed relationship with any person. She wanted to live her life freely with her own terms having no regrets and she was ready to get into a “No Strings Attached” type of relationship with Jesper. Then some incidents happened one after another that changed the lives and relationships of these four individuals respectively. What happened with them after that? Will Arjun ever be successful in realizing Eva about his feelings? Will they ever get a chance to be together? What happened in their pasts? Will Jesper ever be able to fulfill his dreams? How their lives changed and what destiny had in store for them is the rest of the story. So, to get your answers, just grab your hold on to this book and read it yourself. My Verdict: Author Ravi Shirurkar has done a remarkable job by penning down these journeys and gifting us this awesome book. Frankly speaking, I have gone a lot (actually “a lot”) of books till date but this one is something that left me speechless and dumbstruck with various emotions while reading. Quotations and important places are in Italic font in the book or precisely being highlighted to make it noticeably different. Beginning of the chapters are clear and depicting the purpose of the same vividly. Descriptions are being given with enough possible details with providing the utmost clarity. I would like to mention that the core detail of “entrepreneurship” and its procedure, start up and the analysis of the initial failing is something pretty much important in the book and helpful too. The “Hell” where Sara was being forced to live is beyond the capability of my imagination and the way she escaped from there, is highly commendable, respect for the brave and strongest heart she possessed. Her journey can be an example for others to fight with difficult situations and overcoming them. Hat’s off to Sara. Sacrifice of Jesper ultimately for Sara and how he became a completely changed person for his “Love”, is something adorable. Through Jesper, unconditional pure love is depicting and the changes, his dilemma, the pain of Sara, the inner fight within herself, Jesper’s childhood, Eva’s upbringing, everything left huge impact in their lives and it is evidently clear from the dilemma and hesitation they were in primarily. Role of Arjun’s grandfather and mother are very crucial in his life later while changing himself for his better future. The motivational journey of Arjun after the college life is something highly inspiring for anybody. Finally, the way it ended, has shaken me from inside and I never expected a particular thing to be happened in the end. I was deeply moved while reading the ending and I think that there will be a much deserving sequel of this book in future, because the ultimate question is where’s the good in a goodbye, so it’s better to… never say goodbye… Recommendation: I would love to recommend this lovely book to each and every reader out there and this book is a highly worthy read; a must read for sure. Rating (Overall): 5/5 Stars.

Exactly a month back this book released and made a craze in itself. Nothing I could skip which doesn't make this book a best seller. The only thing which attracted me to buy this book is it's title. I always go for the unique titles and this book totally got my attention. Very few books make it to top sellers list and this book by Author Ravi Shirurkar just captured many hearts in one go. I purchased this book just few hours back and just to let the time pass I thought of reading it. I started with the prologue, thought of turning the page, kept repeating until I reached 64th page. I was actually lost in the beauty of the book. A beautiful book on loyalty, adventure, love, friendship. All these which are hard to find in real life make us believe in it once again. Language is lucid with perfect phrases at a perfect twist. A beautiful plot. A beautiful worthy book for an amazing night. Overall ratings-4.8/5 Characterization-4.5/5 Narration-4.8/5 Blurb-3/5 Cover-4/5 Title-5/5
The title of this book literally lured me to plunge into the depths of the story. I'm especially fond of inspirational romance and this story has indeed come up with flying colours. This is a story about true love and friendship and emotions that are rare in real life. Characterisation has played an important role in the story. The characters have been so well designed that they seem real. You can actually connect to them. The author's uncanny ability to keep his readers glued to the book till the end is indeed praiseworthy.
The title is wonderful. The cover is beautiful. The theme is nice. The plot is well chosen. The blurb infuses an inspiration into the readers. The language is artistic and lucid. The storyline is strong..
When two lovers meet their lives change. Change may be positive or negative. Jesper and Sara had positive influence on each other whereas Arjun and Eva had mixed results.
The book is just average and had so many pop psycology quotes in italics. It breaks the flow and is irritating.
Sometimes it is just plain regressive and sexist. See this passage (Arjun telling Eva that kissing her boyfriend is cheap):
Your friends know that I proposed you but they don’t know you kissed me in the middle of the street – 4 blocks away from your home. How cheap does this sound?
Money is overrated and this book reinforces this notion, see the passage below:
So how do people like Virat and Elon become so irresistible all of a sudden? The answer is M-word! The M-word is not some Magic but it’s MONEY! One should just take care of his M-word, and M-word takes care of the rest of the things.
The book ia a sensational emotional fiction which catches all the attention of reader as story continues. A beautiful plot and a suitable title. Some of the phrases are crisp and add the perfect twist. Whereas others like "The wolf – you can’t fight it, you can’t beat it and can’t even tame it. Then I came up with best of all – I turned myself into a wolf instead." or "There can be nothing more powerful than a woman who doesn’t require validation of others." very simply but powerfully portray how a spark becomes a wildfire. I personally feel that the story ending for Eva should have been as bright and as strong that her character deserved. :|
Set in UK, this book has the life of Eva, Arjun, Jesper and Sara. Arjun and Jesper are poles apart but are the best buddies. Arjun falls in love with Eva, his classmate and a lonely girl who is deprived of love in past due to her politician father. Jesper, a guitarist and a lonely boy who spent his major part of life not knowing his parents whereabouts, starts loving Sara, a bartender. Sara, dad’s girl from Pakistan who has a worst past of betrayal and hatred. Arjun thinks if he get his love of his life he can achieve anything in this world. Jesper thinks if he becomes a well known music director his life is settled. But destiny has something else for all these lives.
Loved the story which is about 4 people Arjun, Eva, Sara and Jesper. It's a romantic novel where all having a bad past which surfaces when it is least expected. Every chapter was worth reading leaving those chapters wherein Arjun list downs his dos and don'ts which are too high fundoo and which was taking the book away from the story line. All other chapters were good and worth reading. Overall it is a good Goodread... 😃
Where's the good in a goodbye! What if the choices you make lead to dire consequences? What if life is not as beautiful as it seems? Life is an epitome of unexpected choices & consequences. The path we choose is what leads us to either happiness or sadness. One who chooses to walk the path of righteousness, strives to help humanity & believes in kindness is greeted the same by the universe infinite times more. Our outcomes in life depends on our choices & actions. What matters more? Winning life or winning the world? Keeping this fact in mind the book is written beautifully which not only impresses the readers but also teaches them what it means to be a real human being. How a person can overcome the hurdles thrown at him by life, by planning, enduring, striving to bring a change in his life & the ones surrounding him. Cover is beautiful, simple, subtle and well designed. Even the back cover containing the blurb has been designed in a professional manner. Title is simple, short and gives a deep meaning, the likes of which can be understood only by finishing the novel. Theme has many elements like love, freedom, pain, hurt, dejection, crime, injustice, judgement, humanity, insanity, suspense, thriller and many other aspects intervowen together into an amazing book. Story as given on the description & blurb is the story of 4 people whose lives get intermingled together. The beautiful journey of their lives, their struggles in 4 different perspectives with fabulous narration is worth reading. The book will give you a feel, a sense of living abroad, how lives in other countries are, how people live, how they enjoy each & every moment of their lives... Come on, grab it now.... Well now coming to the most interesting aspect of the book, i.e., the language. Well, I must say I'm really impressed with the level of research & knowledge involved in crafting such a mature level of understanding in the sense of language. This book goes in par with the foreign authors in terms of language which really a feather or two as an angelic impression on the book. The language styles incorporated are Texas brotherhood engrossed with Italian gestures, the various touches refines and takes in on a whole other level. It incorporates American English, Anglo-African touch, Britain (RIP) vocabulary adds further excitement to it. Authors & readers should learn from a book like this on how to craft a book magnificently. It's not just hard work, but research, patience, perseverance which leads to a marvelous book. I commend the author on this aspect. Narration is fabulous, needless to say anything on that. Overall, a book worth reading, life changing, worth every penny. Awaiting the sequel anxiously.
Where's The Good In A Goodbye is written by Ravi Shirurkar.
To be honest it was a roller coaster ride of emotions. What a book!! Must say I am awed after reading this. After reading this I just sat for few minutes wondering what I just read. This story will always rotated in my memory for ever. There were so many wow factors in the story that I lost count. Loved each and every character of the story Arjun, Eva, Jasper and Sara. Everybody were busy handling their own issues when these four people happend to each other. Though being from different countries like Pakistan, India and UK they dared to fall in love with each other and that to unconditionally was something very commendable. I loved the way the author has described the book. Beautifully penned each and every thing. Nothing felt too much cheese and impossible. Starting from the beginning to the end it kept me at the edge of my seat, a very gripping story. The quotes used in the story are very good and apt for each and every chapter. Loved the way the story twisted and moulded itself. Is highly recommended. Can be read a number of times.
Cover and title: 4/5 Narration: 5/5 Story and plot: 5/5 Overall: 5/5
After a very long time , I have come across a very realistic novel. It certainly did posses me and will continue to stay with me forever. I must say all the characters in the book are vividly different and makes me think about what they have gone through . Each person has something to say in the book, every time we think of turn of events, the story takes unexpected twists.
You don't always get what you expect is so true all along in the book. There is no way to get inspired if you start looking for an explanation outside of you. I will suggest this to every person who is stuck in journey of life whether to go behind success or life. to know real meaning of chasing life or world, one must read the book.
When I started to read this book, my expectation was that this would turn out to be another romantic novel. Something along the lines of typical Nicholas Sparks books but from when I was at 30 percent, my opinion begin to change. When the book was finished, I was searching for other books by the same author. What started as stories of four random persons, eventually start to merge and actual fun start from there. It's about self-discovery of one character, life goals reversal for one, redemption for one and disappearance of the other. The book was a page-turner and it kept the interest going until the end. My recommendation is to go ahead and try the book.
This book is a great example of telling the story like a newspaper. The purpose of literature is to show, but this book ignores it completely and it makes it boring like hell.
The book starts with Author note, "Writing this novel took (a) tremendous amount of time in planning. I had to live lives of four people from different countries, lifestyle, and behavior. It is more difficult than any critic or reviewer can imagine
Oh WOW. It is really difficult. I cannot imagine. Only you can. You are the supreme.
Do I need to Salute you now, Mr. Author? Because these words were written only for two reasons; one, to say, "You are a great author" and two, to get a good 5 stars review of the book (because if I don't like this book, simply means I couldn't imagine, right?). But, I am not going to do any of these two things. This book is a garbage and I cannot lie to myself or anybody reading this review.
If you would have lived lives of four people, this book couldn't read like a nonsense, like a report, Mr. Author. Not a single character is a developed. Not a developed story either.
This book is a testimony of four characters telling their own stories of pain, torture, sexual abuse, and what not? Why are they telling their non-sense stories? For two reasons, to gain a sympathy as they are still alive, and to prove that they are strong as many people around them said: "you are strong."
This book is full of grammatical and sentence error. I have pointed one error in Author' note (quoted above) itself.
This novel is written keeping in mind a more mature reader who seeks something more meaningful
Oh, I got it now. I am not mature enough to understand this book. Fu*k. I wanna die. I wanna die.
The story is beyond cliches. There is no novelty. A girl. Stepmom. Father died. She was forced into marriage. Father in law exploits. She was raped by him and other men. WTF.
"Months later, I was blessed with a baby boy. I was so happy that at last someone was there whom I could claim mine. I hugged the little soul to my chest. He was my world, my life, and soul but he was taken away from me within few days. They probably killed the baby as he was a baby boy-of no use to them"
Utter bullshit. First, they couldn't allow her to be pregnant. and if they still did, how come they did not get the sex reveal done to them of the baby. Still, I accept it. Why they took many days to kill the baby when they discovered it was a boy?
Dear Author, there is a lot wrong with your book., Every single page is bullshit with no logic and no sympathetic touch. And you still claim that you put the lives of the characters?
"I tried to strangulate myself with a piece of cloth, pull it with all my might. I remembered my father's words that very moment- you are a strong girl, Sara!
Wow. What a twist.
The repetition of this STRONG word was so many times that I almost killed myself thinking that I am the only one who is not strong in this world.
I want to write more, but I don't want to waste my time in writing a review of this garbage. So ending it up here.
An interesting read! I liked the structure of this novel.. mainly because we know what goes into the mind of all the characters involved in a situation. It’s coherent, intriguing and keeps you engrossed. Happy reading:)
Book Name – Where’s the good in a goodbye Author – Ravi Shirurkar Format – Kindle Language – English
The title is very attractive that it can catch reader’s attention to this book easily. It has a deep inner meaning. It defines if someone says goodbye or someone is taking leave from your life, it is happening for a good reason. The title has been wisely chosen. For the selection of this title there must be worked a mastermind. The cover is colourful. It has been matched with the title. In cover, there is a woman falling from somewhere down to the field and one hand probably it is a man’s hand trying to protect her. After analysing the cover and the meaning of title one can understand easily what is going to be happened inside the book. The story has been written very well. Author has thought so deeply while creating this story. He has penned down so nicely. The story has been edited and narrated well. Author has used lucid language so that one can understand the meaning of this story. I appreciate his thought. He has tried to make this story beautiful and interesting to read and he has succeeded. He has done a great job by gifting us such kind of story that can motivate us and teach a lesson to us. Moreover, it is an inspirational romantic story that can touch your heart itself.
EVEN DAN BROWN GOT HATERS....A MASTERPIECE IN TRUE SENSE
Even Dan Brown got haters, doesnt mean he is not a great author...... this one is complete masterpiece in true sense as all the four characters have their own mysterious lives which get intertwined..... I can't imagine how can one be so good at the thing he does.......kudos!
Once in a lifetime, you come across a book that challenges your IQ and patience at the same time. This book was such. I felt like throwing it into the dustbin and I tell you I never feel throwing a book into the dustbin.
Very well written Love, friendship, entreprenship, lesson to life all ingredients make this book readable with such a nice flow, cant resist to stop reading.
Story line was ok. But what saddens me the most is there is some un-required masala in all these kind of novels. Why cannot authors think of writing stories with out masalas. I would have appreciated this novel more if all the masala was removed. Not everything needs to be put in adulterated mode to get hype for a book. I feel for Sara. It is unfortunate that there might be true instances like the one Sara had to go through.
I finished it in few hours as it was very interesting. There is so much to learn from here and relate to. The way the book is written- how each character speak is just tremendous. I didn't wanted it to end. It's definitely a worth reading. Love and courage are the two key things I would take from this book.
Utterly ridiculous ..... a complete waste of time. Over-dramatized stories of 4 individuals ..... i wonder how one can imagine to pen this down in a novel.
The Kindle edition has grammatical errors on almost every page which infuriates the reader.
Author has really described each character well, their family background, their beliefs and how their beliefs turn around as life takes turn to lead them to altogether different destiny
Why is this book so highly rated I will never know. A complete waste of time. The unnecessary details in the story and the grammatical errors in the Kindle edition made the reading even more arduous.
Do yourself a favour and do not fall victim to the favourable reviews about this book —that's all I'll say.
