Tiff & Ian are hired to look into the death of a lawyer who was shot to death on the wrong side of town. A cast of suspects in the law firm, half truths, affairs, & money all factor into the mystery. Meanwhile, Ian & Nanna enter themselves into a dance competition much to everyone's dismay. Tiff claims Ryan as her boyfriend and he finally meets her parents. A small mention of Stone (who I really want to reappear so I will keep reading the series)
In my opinion, the book could have done without much of the silliness with Ian and Nanna's obsession to be a part of reality TV show. I have no idea what this added to the book except for annoying me to no end.
But the mystery itself was a good one. I had quite a lot of fun reading about Tiffany and Ian going back and forth investigating everyone related to the victim and since there were two lines of enquiries, the book kept me on my toes guessing what the motive for murder might me.
It didn't have virtually any action at all, just the PIs talking to people mostly. There were also a few plotholes in this one which could have been wrapped up in a more neatly manner.
I am addicted to this series! Tiffany & quirky adorable partner, Ian, are hired to find the killer of a young lawyer. As a P. I. Tiffany proves that catching a killer is hard work & basically boring, but a necessary part of an investigation. Adding comic relief are Tiffany’s Mom & her Nanna. Her mom’s constant attempts at fixing her up with a “nice single guy” are hysterical. And I can just picture Nanna & Ian on the dance reality show! While I would have loved a bit more of Boyfriend Detective Ryan & the ever mysterious Stone, this book did not disappoint. Definitely a fun read with a very interesting setup for the next installment.
This was enjoyable, but not my favorite story. Ian and Tiffany just seemed to go back and forth talking to people the whole time. They never went to the victim's apartment, which seemed odd. Also, there was basically no romance in this story at all. The general premise is good and there were some funny bits but the whole thing just didn't pull together in a cohesive, pleasing package for me. Also, sometimes the family scenes seem so much like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series that it is a distraction. I've enjoyed the series and I'll see if the next one is more to my liking.
This was another fun quick read. However I wish the author would stop having the mc being constantly harassed by men her mother is trying to set her up with, it's quite boring after 11 books in the series, and quite problematic as well as the other characters just tend to laugh it off and say these men are harmless, which they are not. But the mystery aspect of the plot was one of the better ones that this author has written so far.
Another good read. I enjoy the mystery and humor in this series... Fun and quirky with the right amount of mystery in the investigations. A few of the more recent books have felt rushed, but this one had a good feel through the end. The mentions of Stone are just getting awkward though. Still a fan... Keep them coming!
This was another entertaining addition to a long running series. I always enjoy the mystery and the characters. The investigations are always well written and thorough. If you’re looking for romance though, there is very little to one. It still makes for a great book.
Tiffany is hired to investigate the death of a young lawyer who was climbing the ladder because of her hard work. Tiffany's mom sets her up with a new boy friend who helps Ian and Nanna get an audition for Dance USA. As usual their are many suspects and an everchanging story. Great reading and series
I enjoyed this book a lot. I like the way the Author has not just centered everything around Stone, but has showed us how Tiffany is growing as an investigator and is keeping it fun.
I enjoy this series. I love the characters and the mystery rolls out in a way that isn't gory or scary (mostly). It is just general enjoyment sprinkled with humor and mystery.
Fun and interesting read. This book is sweet, funny, and a little outrageous at times. There's times when I'm reading that I literally start laughing out loud.
This series is great easy and entertaining reads! I love Ian and Tiffany’s strange partner friendship! Also a clean read, very refreshing! Great even for all ages!
