Grab your one way ticket to Bride and experience sweet romance deep in the heart of Texas.
Down-on-her-luck Sydney Haverford is adrift. With her British visa expired and no marriage proposal forthcoming from her boyfriend to keep her there, Sydney takes the hint and decides to return to the US after an extended absence. Naturally, it's the holidays--the worst possible time of year to have no close family and nowhere to go. A desperate Facebook post lands her in Bride, Texas, staying in an idyllic lakeside cabin owned by property developer and notorious bachelor, Everett Jeffries.
Everett's father has just died, leaving the fate of the family business in his hands...or so he thought. When a reading of the will reveals that Everett must be married in order to inherit the company, the clock starts ticking on his future. He figures Sydney is an ideal choice--easy on the eyes and charming enough to convince the stodgy Board of Directors that their love is real.
When Sydney agrees to marry him in exchange for a tidy sum to fund her fresh start, neither expects their fake marriage to blossom into something more…

Neve lives near the beach with her family.
Really enjoyed this. When Sydney's boyfriend dumps her in England she has no choice but to fly home. Her Aunt Edith lives in Texas and she's more or less promised Sydney a job in the small town of Bride where she resides. When she meets wealthy Everett she's attracted right away. When he asks her to marry him, she's stunned.
Everett's father has died and in order for Everett to inherit the family business he has to get married. Therefore, when he proposes to Sydney its a business arrangement, nothing else. They'll stay married for a year, fulfilling his father's wishes, then divorce. However, neither one figured on falling in love.
I really liked the characters in this one. Even though Everett was a player, once he married Sydney his "playing" days were over. The two of them made such a sweet couple. Although they had their ups and downs, they had me sighing in the end.
