Angela Sanders is a USA Today bestselling author. She's a multi-genre author of all things romance, fantasy, as well as supernatural and psychological thrillers (the sky's the limit!).
As a retired Navy Chief, wife, and mother, Angela lives in Kentucky where she enjoys writing, editing, reading, or all three. She's a known coffee addict and audiobook hoarder.
An action packed, non stop, fun book. I was very happy to see the, three some back together, after a very bleak, dark time. There's nothing like these characters, who relate perfect to each other, are a fun bunch that would do anything for each other, even if it's detrimental to themselves. I love their snarkiness. These books bring me off to fantasy land and that is what I want, too get out of the stresses of real life, and go off into a wonderful adventure. They are witches and hybrids, that fight rogue vampires and bad witches. There have been some twists and turns, which I also enjoy.
Throughout this book there's always something going on. Whether they're planning their next move, fighting, or saving one another. There's nothing boring about this book, just the opposite. It's fun, full of excitement and brings fourth emotion. I think any book or movie etc, is great if it can cause, me to feel great emotions.
I'm quite curious about quite a few things, and can't wait to see how they pan out. Things could go a number of different ways. For instance will Danielle, be able to stay around? Will the lovebirds make things official, I love their relationship they're so supportive of each other, they have fun together yet are serious when need be, they also really enjoy each other in the sac. Then what about Abby and Liz father, I'm dyeing to know what happens with him? Then there's Danny's father. I could go on but won't. This book is just chock full of adventure and things to come.
I LOVE this series. Magic Unleashed is the second book in the Delphine Rising series. I have to say these books get more action-packed with each new book and this one was certainly filled with lots of new surprises. While they have lots of ass-kicking there are many funny moments shared between the characters. These moments make me smile and laugh and keep me entertained. Once I sat down I loathed to stop reading and managed to finish it within hours.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading action-packed suspense books, with romance, magic, witches and plenty of other supernatural creatures that go bump in the night. I do believe reading the first book would be very beneficial before diving into book two.
Abby’s family and friends all share a tight bond and fight together against evil. There is plenty of evil these days with rogue vampires and scary demons terrorizing witches and hybrids. Delphine seems to be creating quite a lot of chaos in everyone’s lives and it’s up to Abby and her loved ones to stop her.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This series is so so good, I love it - I didn't think the author could beat the previous book but she did and just like the previous book I didn't want to put it down but unfortunately I have broken previous e-readers on books like this one where I tried to stay awake to finish it and fallen asleep through exhaustion and dropped my e-reader, so I reluctantly had to put it down but as soon as I had my cup of tea and toast the following day I was straight back to reading it. It is a really good book, where the author catches you from the start and keeps you entertained all the way through. It's full of action and intrigue and my only complaint is it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I am now waiting to get my hands on the next book and I hate having to wait when the story is this good! If you enjoy Urban Fantasy, Paranormal romance and books about Witches, Demons, and Vampires then you will definitely enjoy this series. I would advise you start at the very beginning with 0.5 'Winds of Change" so you know about all the characters and how the story has progressed to this point. Well worth the five stars allocated.
This is technically the third book in the Delphine Rising series. In this action-packed, suspense-filled sequel, you'll be on the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next. There's a ton of things happening all at once and it's up to Abby, her family and friends to stop the new onslaught of enemies coming their way. Nothing is as it seems... Want a small preview? Here's a snippet of Chapter 2. Enjoy! :)
All at once, the flames from the candles grew higher and an unnatural wind swept through the greenhouse. Liz began choking again, but this time it was different. I was afraid she was going to die and broke the circle. The flames died down and I took her hand in mine, holding her head upright.
“Sis, it’s okay. I’m here. It’s almost over.” Then what appeared to be black smoke and some kind of strange-looking insects flew from her mouth, taking on a human-like shape.
“Oh shit!” Danielle shrieked, taking a step back.
“Abby, that’s no poison. It’s an entity. Open the veil and let God handle it. Do it now!” Mom shouted.
I stood there with my mouth hanging open. What the hell was that thing and how did it get into my sister from a vampire bite? It was much more than a poison. Holy shit!
I tamped down my fear and focused on my power, praying to God for His strength more than ever before. My hands began to glow in a white light and everyone stood back—the entity hovered over Liz as if he or she was attempting to possess her once again. Its smoke-like hands were on her shoulders as the rest of its body drifted around. Its mouth opened wide and a tar-like substance began to drip from its razor-sharp teeth. When did smoky entities have teeth? What the hell?
“I don’t think so!” I shouted, waving my right hand, opening the veil to the other side.
The murky entity shrieked as I strode closer with the light of God radiating around me, ready to drag its ass to the other side myself if I had to. There was no way it was getting anywhere near my sister again.
An ethereal, blonde-haired man in a black suit stood just inside the veil—that was new. What was he? The Grim Reaper?

Amazing, suspense that has you gripping the edge of the seat type of story. Impossible to not finish it as quickly as I could. Received an ARC and couldn’t help reviewing because it was so fantastic.
Intrigue, mystery, demons, possession, action, adventure, thrills....and that’s just the start. This is a dangerous book. I started it at 9pm and couldn’t put it down. I’m not going to say what time I finished but even despite being a fast reader let’s just say that work was NOT fun the next day. It was worth it though as, with characters and a well written plot line like this, the pleasure was worth the next-day-exhaustion pain. You really should start with book 1, which was great (though somehow this one is even better). Enjoy: highly recommended.
This is the second fast-paced installment of Delphine Rising and is even more action-packed and exciting than the first one. There are still plenty of paranormal characters, magic, intrigue, and suspense in this effortless read. Set aside time when picking up books in this series as I'm finding it addictive and you will probably feel the same way about Angela's stories. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
This is the second book of the Delphine Rising series, and it kicks even more ass than the first. Abby, her family, and her friends continue the fight to keep Delphine and her cronies at bay. So much fun to read!!!
This series, like many of the series I read, is getting better and better. We get to see more of the closeness between Danielle, Danny, Liz, and Abby; there was plenty of action; and there was plenty of romance. Yes, this book did end on a cliffhanger, but I’ve come to expect that. LOL! Abby is growing as a character into a more mature person, and there were hints thrown in about her magic. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next book which will hopefully be soon. Highly recommend!
Congratulations to Angela Sanders for this intriguing series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
