My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I buy all of Zoe Chant’s books because I love her HEAs and her style of writing! I do own this whole series!
The cover is another awesome one that matches the rest of the series! I love seeing both beautiful beasts on the cover! This is my favorite kind of shifter cover!
This is the 5th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. While not mandatory, you will get more enjoyment in the series knowing all of the character dynamics and the backstory that goes with them.
I read this book quite a while ago, but I got sidetracked a lot when it came to reviewing it. I have loved every Zoe Chant book that I have read so far, and I own almost all of the books that she has. I have read more than 60 so far! She is one of my favorite authors that is my go to for when I need a book that I know I will love and devour. Sometimes I wish my reviews would write themselves based off my brain waves because it would save me from typing them.
So this book is Darrell’s story, and if you read the rest of the series, you have seen him before. He likes to help others and protect his clan. It is tough when everyone he knows has found their mates. When he helps out the sheriff by looking for a missing tourist, he finds his mate who is a kitty. An adventure ensues because can you imagine not knowing you are a shifter, but turning into an animal one day. She is in some trouble, but no one is better to help her than Darrell. This was an awesome addition to the series, and I loved it!
I highly recommend this book and series to any shifter fan who love an adventure with an HEA ending! I love Zoe Chant’s style of writing, and if you have liked any of her work, you don’t want to miss out on this series! Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

Carrie Stewart, an accountant assistant who was looking forward to her long awaited and well deserved vacation. On her way to her destination, Linden Creek. She got in an accident, that incident brought out her inner animal. One that was unknown to her.
She shifted into a cat and ran straight into the forest where she found a cabin. What she didn't know was there were dangerous people after her.
Darrell Reid, a handyman and Bear shifter who was yearning for a mate and cubs of his own. He loved his clan, he was also happy to see that they found their mates.
When his Alpha Chris ( BEAR COP ) send him to find a lost tourist in their clan's territory. He didn't expect to find the one he has been waiting for...his mate.
When Darrell told Carrie about her being a shifter, she didn't believe him. Well that was until she remembered the aftermath of her accident. She was still struggling with all she'd learned about being a shifter.
There was some dangerous people after her because of something her boss did. With the help of her mate, the new friends she made and an unexpected person. Carrie was able to face the danger.
Coming to Linden Creek was the best decision she ever made. She found what she never realized she had been missing. A place where she belonged.

Darrell was one of the fighters that left Iron Fangs crew. He is a loner who works on the cabins and is considered the best "uncle" to all of the Linden Clan cubs.
Carrie is on her way for a vacation given to her by her boss when she is run off of the road into the forest.
Sheriff Chris called Darrell and asked him to help look for her because she never picked up the keys for her cabin although she called when she was an hour out.
When Darrell found the crash site he smelled human, werewolf and cat scents. When he saw Carries clothes her followed the cat scent realizing she was a shifter too, and his mate.
Come to find out Carrie doesn't know anything about shifters.
There are interesting things happening in this story. People trying to kill Carrie, Carrie not knowing who or why. Carrie finding out about shifters and that she is one. Learning about mates. Finding out what really happened to her biological parents since she was a foster kids.

A bear and a cat???
Carrie is taking a much deserved vacation when her car is hit and she blacks out. She is running from danger but she doesn't know why. Darrell is a bear shifter. He is called by the sheriff who tells him the woman who was supposed to rent a vacation cabin had disappeared. So Darrell shifts and heads out to search for her. When he sees her he knows she is his mate. But what she didn't know until then that she is a cat shifter. She had never heard of such a thing but she knew she wasn't crazy. Seeing Darrell she felt drawn to him but didn't know what a mate was. Darrell protects her and teaches her how to shift into her cat form. Both if them had bad childhoods but forming a family and making a home together was what they both wanted and couldn't believe how great they were as a couple. They both knew they were so lucky to have each other and their future is looking so much better than they ever thought possible. I would definitely recommend this series and this book for anyone who wants to read an amazing story.

This book can be read a s a standalone but is better read in order of this series, mainly the previous two books in relation to Darrell and his past.
Carrie was on her way to a vacation cabin when she is run off the road. All she remembers is some instinct and a voice urging her to run. Her life will never be the same for more than one reason.
Finding out she is a cat shifter was bad enough but to find she is being hunted by an assassin is even worse.
Being rescued by Darrell, a bear shifter is the best thing to happen to her but it takes her awhile to come to this realisation.
Darrell is such a sweetie.

Another fantastic story about Linden Creek bears
Carrie's boss renting a cabin in Linden Creek, but she never arrived because someone ran off the road. Darrell went looking for her finally found as a cat shifter. However, she doesn't know she's a cat shifter.
There is a wolf shifter named Tom after her. Will she and Darrell survives assassins?
The characters are intriguing, relatable, and sexy. The plot is fast-paced drama with lots of twists and turns.
I like this book because the plot is in clear-cut and just how many assassins were sent against her and why? I highly recommended this atypical book. I certainly will keep and eye on the author's website to see if there's more of these characters coming up.

The brand of Zoe Chant is made up for different authors. Ever since I started reading her, I can determine the tone and the way it is written on which Zoe was writing the novel.
For this one, it's an ok read for me. I love the couple interacted with each other without the male going bat shit alpha and the female be the mary sue that I hate as a trope. That said, nothing stands out too much about this book for me. It didn't leave any lingering impressions. It is a good read but that's what the book is for me, only good.

A quick enjoyable story about a cat shifter who was raised by humans. She didn't even know shifters existed let alone that she was one until after an automobile accident that was no accident had in her cat form running scared. Exciting!

Last book in the series Darrell finds love.The end was sweet but it was all sex would of liked more get togethers and banter, glory was a interesting character would of liked to see her hanging with the lady's more etc.being the last book would of been nice to not end it on sex.

Wonderful book! The whole series is great.
The twist and turns that you don't even expect come jumping out at you. The story line has a perfect amount of action, mystery, and love scenes. I'm definitely now a follower of your books. I'm about to start one of your other series.

I love all of Zoe Chants shifter books! This one is all that and a level up. This one was more than amusing and had me laughing out loud! I even read the meeting scene to my husband and he laughed as well. If you want to pick one shifter romance, pick this one!!
