The Darkness shows no mercy. Not to Morgan. Not to her Guardians. Not to the world.
The Goddess of War has taken three of Morgan's Raven Guard as her own. Only Dylan remains and they must pick up the pieces after Bunny's devastating betrayal. Can the two of them survive on their own?
Rating all 6 books as 1 because they added up to about 800ish pages (19hours) combined and I listed to the full collection audiobook so the chapters were literally back to back so I have no idea when each book ended. This also makes no sense and should have book 2 books but I think it was a little bit of a Wattpad story to start with..
The overall story was a bit different from the norm which I liked enjoyed for the most part but the FMC erked me to no end as her personality started out okay but then started to become nothing but whiney as fuck but taking in the wording also made it extremely childish at times. The MMC's were decent, I just wish they were more prominent throughout the story as we didn't get much relationship development with any of them, making it mostly about herself.
If you were looking for a quick easy read then go ahead but I wouldn't recommend it 🙄💀
Onyx Eclipse is book five in the series and I felt like we started to get a bit more of a clearer picture of events in this book.
After the sad ending of the last book I was desperate to get my hands on this one to get the answers to what has happened previously. I also needed to know that the Ravens Guard where all going to be ok! I felt that the answers I had to some question were answered for me in this book and certain decisions made by Bunny where made clearer, the real answer now though is can us readers forgive him, as well as Morgan and the rest of the guard? The twists and turns in this book really were amazing and there was so much I didn't see coming, it was exciting.
I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to the next part of the story. Another five star book in what for me is a five star series.
Onyx Eclipse continues the story of Morgan and her Raven Guard. The virus is spreading around the city. Morrigan is gaining a foothold in the world. Reeling from the betrayal of one of her own and the capture of three others, Morgan and Dylan and are scrambling to find through a gate to reach the Otherside. Hildi is watching Anita who is locked up in the basement, but instead of providing any answers, she seems to be descending into madness. Meanwhile Bunny is in Otherside painting, following his plans for his Mistress and Clinton, Damien, and Sam are barely alive being tortured in the dungeons. Morgan is weakened by the separation to her guards, but she and Dylan are doing their best, and Morgan has a plan. She is willing to trade her life in order to save her Guards and the world.
This is a darkly thrilling story. Time is split between the Otherside and Topside. Morrigan is a deadly opponent and her strength in the Otherside is immense. The Guards are imprisoned, but new allies are found and strength remains. There are secrets that the Morrigan has no idea of. Love and kindness remain. Morgan is coming into her own. Her determination to save her Guards and destroy the Morrigan is making her formidable as well. She is also Queen and her power, her warmth can rival the Morrigan's cold power. Her Guard's love and loyalty for her is a weapon she can use to make her stand. Bunny is her weakness. He has done more damage than can be measured, his jealousy and his underestimation of Morgan have nearly destroyed them all. This must be repaired. War is coming. The final battle. Morgan is unprotected, she has to deal with Bunny, the other Guards have a job to do, the three must be reconciled. Everything hangs in the balance.
This series has gotten better with each book. What started as a fun book about one of my favorite myths has evolved into a wonderfully, creative series. Angel has continued to weave the original myths with a modern day setting to create an extraordinary story. The characters that started out as 5 hot guys and their "Queen" have wormed their way into my heart. The tension has built to an unbelievable level. Midnight's End is the next and final book of the series. I can't wait!
Readers did an excellent job telling the story!! There were times I wanted to literally crawl into the book and wring the main character’s neck for being so stupid about things but in the end she learned and she grew along with her five raven warriors. All of these books kept you glued and interested and just waiting to find out what would happen next in the battle of good versus evil! I don’t think I’ve read anything from this author before but I do plan on it in the future!!
This book is the most intense of all the Raven's Queen Harem series. There was so much happening and so many feels.
This book kicks off where the last one left off, I was desperate to find out why Bunny did what he did and wanted to believe it was more than feeling hurt.
We are faced with Dylan and Morgan trying to deal without the rest of the guardians and trying to figure out a way to rescue them and cure the world of the darkness and sickness plaguing the city. I felt a real loss of the men, feeling empty without their presence in the book. Morgan is hardened, and she is a leader. She's taking charge and doing what she feels necessary to save her men and her city, even if that means going behind their backs to do so. Even though she has always wanted to protect them, you see the sheer determination in her to do so.
I'm glad to be given a little insight into why Bunny did what he did, even though I have yet to forgive him for his actions. He needs to harden up a bit and get over his issues. . . I still love him and think that he can truly redeem himself in Morgan and the rest of the guardians eyes. . . I have my theories on how that's going to go. . . .
I loved the battle scenes between Casteel and Morgan and Dylan and Bunny haha. . . I loved the moments between Morgan and the Morrigan and all the other action. I was sitting on the edge of my seat during these moments, Angel really set the tone and gave us an amazing story. I loved every moment of it. I still can't believe it and wish that I could erase my memory so I can read it again.
This book made me love Dylan more, every book my love for him grows stronger and stronger. . . . He's definitely my favourite Guardian . . .
I'm so excited for the next book but hate that it will be the last *uncontrollable crying*
After four books of preparation for Morgan and the Ravens, and ending on a cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to read Onyx Eclipse. It didn't disappointment! Finally, Morgan decides to be a heroine we can cheer on, and takes the fight to the Morrigan. Fav Quote; “Why are you doing this?” she asks, genuine curiosity in her voice. “Why are you going to her? Because you can’t win, you know that, right?” I decide to answer truthfully. “She took the men I love. She poisoned one into betraying me. I have debts to pay and bridges to burn because she used me. Used me to take out people like Xavier. Like Andi and thousands of others around the city. I’m not waiting for another death, for her to make another move.” I push her through the door before adding, “I’m not trying to win, Anita. I’m just trying to hold on and do what I can for the people I care about. Even if I don’t make it back, I can assure that they do.” Star ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
This book was so much better than the others! I loved that the story that the first books were leading to was finally laid out for the reader. I felt the first few books were like starters for the actual stuff to happen. Which, honestly, was quite annoying.
But this book redeems the series in such an amazing way. Even though it's mostly only Dylan and Morgan. You understand so much more that is happening.
And that smut scene at the end. Yeesh! *fans self off* That was HOT! Fuck yes!
This is one of my favorite series! I never know where it is going, but the ride is wonderful! Morgan is still reeling from Bunny’s betrayal, but she is also determined to fight for her guys and get rid of the Morrigan. I like that we get to understand Bunny’s motivations, although he still has a lot to make up for. The story ends on another cliffhanger, of course. I can’t wait for The next book, but I also don’t want the series to end!
I found this one to be the darkest in the series. It's still fast, the characters engage, and you cheer for the "good side"... but is it really the "good" side when you are dealing with the Darkness? Morgan and her Ravens make great partners, but sometimes a Queen needs to make her own choices. I love that the author has added more of the fantasy characters throughout the series, and the Valkyri, Hildi, is one strong stand out in my likes.
This has been my favorite of the series so far! After the way #4 ended I couldn't wait to see what happened next with Bunny and how Morgan would handle what had happened with her Guardians. This installment had action, interesting new characters and the sweet and hot romance we love, including a scene I've been waiting patiently for. Looking forward to Midnight's End! 4.5 Stars
After leaving readers howling at the end of the last installment, our beloved author returns with more fast paced action, black magic, torture, disease and a bright thread of hope. Beautifully written, Onyx Eclipse deserves better than a measly five stars.
This is the fifth book in the series and my favorite so far. Morgan finally decides to take action and confront the Morrigan head on. We learn a little more about Bunny & his betrayal. Also Morgan realizes it's time for her to be the hero for her guardians. I just love this series and I'm impatiently waiting for the next book!
This book has so much happening and so many feels in it. Questions are answered and more pop up too. This book is told in multiple POV giving is all sides of the story. It’s exciting and leaves us on another cliffhanger. It hard to think that the next book will be the final and the story will be over. Look forward to reading it.
Morgan Got Her Balls! Yeah you read that correctly, Morgan has finally taken it to the next level and gotten major lady balls! Soooo good, she has a plan and she doesn't care what her guys have to say about it, she is after all their Queen. She is kicking butt and taking names! Can't wait to see how it all turns out in the next book.
It was really quite saddening about Hilidi's beloved. I am also a less than thrilled about Morgan, a college graduate who is in a Master's Program being refered to by a female author as girl by charcters in these stories. A queen should never be refered to as a girl, especially the embodiment of a Goddess.
Well we’re about to head into a battle. Looking forward to the next book. I hope bunny gets destroyed and if he’s forgiven for all he’s done then I’m also done. But let’s hope.
Morgan being betrayed by one of her own must also find herself and make redemption for betrayal she also has now made. Will she be able to forgive and be forgiven? This is our last cliffhanger we have to get through.
Bunny!!!!! So much going on in the book. We get so much additional information about Bunny, Morgan and the Morrigan. I can not wait for the conclusion.
Oh this was good! Im so excited about this rh series. Keeps me on the edge of my seat good. Has me screaming at the chance good, and has me anxiously waiting for the next one-good. 4.5 stars!
This particular book was heartbreaking. Seeing Morgan hurt from loss and betrayal was so sad. She has a plan though and I can’t help but think this book will come to an epic conclusion.
3.5. Best of the series so far. There are some timing issues (ex: at least 30-45min takes place for some characters while a few minutes pass for others at the same time).
The Raven Queen’s Harem reviews: Raven’s Mark ❤❤❤❤❤ here Ebony Rising ❤❤❤❤❤ here Black Magic ❤❤❤❤❤ here Obsidian Fire ❤❤❤❤❤ here Onyx Eclipse ❤❤❤❤❤ See below! Midnight’s End ❤❤❤❤ here
Okay, this is the second review in this series that I’m actually stoked to be writing! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved all the books, and went through them in no time. But because they’re all so fast paced and short, it’s hard to write a proper review without giving too much away. So far, I’ve kind of tried my best to just give a feel of the book, without making it the spoiler party of 2018.
In this fifth instalment the pace is easier to digest and thus, easier to review on. We split the time between the Otherside and our world.
By now we know that Morrigan has four of Morgan’s five Raven guards. Damien, Clinton and Sam she got her hands on involuntarily, and they’re now locked up in her dungeons. They’re alive, barely, and being tortured regularly by the Morrigan’s most loyal subject. Meanwhile Bunny keeps painting his magical paintings and following the orders from his new mistress.
The Morrigan proves that she’s a fierce adversary, and her power at the Otherside is enormous, so only a fool would underestimate her.
Back on our side, Dylan and Morgan are the only two standing of their group of six. At times it does seem like they’re close to giving into despair, but once again Morgan proves herself to be a fierce rival.
Morgan is determined to save her guards, and the world from the Morrigan’s virus, and she’s willing to give her own life in return.
