I loved everything about Metal & Lace, the first book in this series, so when Lena announced this novella I was on it like a car bonnet.
First things first...Lena knows how to write a hot male lead. Man, Jamison is delicious. He really fits the bill, brusque and moody, quiet yet dominant and protective. He plays the part perfectly.
Abby is strong and ballsy. Just the type of woman I like to see in a book. None of this namby pamby I need a man to live stuff and towards the end, my heart broke for her.
I really enjoyed this story, despite the predictability of it all. That's the thing with Lena's writing. She has this knack of drawing you in with her characters. I felt like I really needed to finish reading their story.
I would have loved this to have been longer, to really get to see the bloom in their relationship, but then it wouldn't be the book it is now.
Fingers crossed for more from the O'Rourke and Delaney clans in the future...and I hope to God that man Gunnar Haze makes more of an appearance, now we know how he fits into their lives!

First let me say, yes I am a huge fan of Ms. Blacks. I have said this before and I will say it again.. if she wrote the dictionary-I’d read it and probably adore every word.

That being said. I really like both these characters. Jamison is rough and raw where Abby is softer and more charming.

I love the story line of the bad boy and good girl who fall in love and he’s trying not too.

My one and only complaint is.. I wanted more. I feel like these characters didn’t get a chance to really bloom. I devoured this story in two hours and it left me wanting to hear more about their story.

Will I recommend this book.. duh. I have already sent messages to my reader friends. It’s a great quick read!

This was a great read. The hero and heroine are complete opposites...but the spark of attraction is there from the start. She's sweet...he's heavily inked and from a notorious family, but they want each other.
I'm not a lover of tattoos, but Jamison intrigued me. He was gruff and menacing, but he had a tender heart where Abby was concerned.
I guessed the twist, and was relieved when I was proved right.
My only complaint...it wasn't long enough.
More from this couple, please.

Meh. Needed a good edit - the tenses were all over the place and some of the words were not what the author was intending. Also pretty tame compared to what the author's other books look like. Read as part of the Reckless anthology.
