This book is very good. In this book, sir tells about his struggle in his career. In the first 5 chapters, he tells about his childhood and tells that how he made choices in his life. He also tells that he got choices of choosing tennis and cricket. He loved lawn tennis but chose cricket. He tell us about his family, his coach, his lifestyle and about other players that what masti and fun he used to do with his other team mates. I liked the book because it was very motivating, inspiring and words and story has been showcased in a very good manner. 1 more thing I liked about the book and that is in the book, he gave super tips for us regarding our life, many facts are also been showcased on almost every page. I used to enjoy a lot while reading this book, sometimes it looks like a suspense, that what will happen next and what he will tell us further etc. If I talk chapter wise, I liked the very first chapter of the book as it motivates us a lot about our own choices of our life. I think this book is very beneficial and good book for students.
This book is written extraordinarily by the author about the life of a Legend who we know as the Little Master. I would definitely recommend this book for the cricket lovers and who are interested to know about the God of the game.
"Sportsmanship", "being grounded", and "respecting our work" are some of the learnings we get from this book. Everyone (and especially students) must read this heart-touching autobiography by the God of cricket - Sachin Tendulkar.
It is good to read with the journey of Sachin from a 16 year old boy who plays cricket for the nation and is further awarded with the highest civilian award of India.
Every sportsman needs inspiration and being a growing cricketer, I have gotten to know a lot about the champion, the one and only: Sachin Tendulkar. This autobiography of him has inspired me to do better and achieve greater things. I really loved how there were facts about him at the end of each chapter and I really loved the way he has written this book about himself for young readers. This book shows us how being good at what you do will make you happy but inside you still have to be a good person. This book is Sachin's message to all those reading this book. While telling his story and giving credit to the people that have helped him throughout his life journey, he also inspires young readers to be more like him. I certainly recommend this book to all those who want to learn more about this champion who came from a small part of Mumbai (a city in India) and how he shocked the world with his amazing skills in the sport of playing cricket.
Every young cricket tragic dreams of representing their country. For Sachin Tendulkar, the dream came true, but not as a complete fairy-tale - with all the accompanying blood, sweat and tears. He outlines his cricket career from school kid to teenager (including representing his country in Test matches as a teenager) and beyond. Sachin not only outlines the step-by-step, complex process of elite achievement, but the wisdom and fortitude underlying the process - particularly his father's words: 'Chase your dreams, but make sure you don't find shortcuts. The path might be difficult, but don't give up.'
