yay text book. not the worst i've ever had to read but the bias (none of the historical figures could do anything wrong, it's all those greedy theving corrupt malicious racist anglos) kinda killed me. ok, yeah, i'm white but i like to think that my skin color doesn't make me a racist. for heaven's sake, just because this person or that person did something amazing for la causa doesn't make them a saint. also rather sexist. but it's part history book and aren't most history text books sexist, too? luckily, this book had enough pictures and fairly middling writting to keep it from the bonfire.
