In The Token, part 1-3 we met physical therapist, Faren Mitchell who after being diagnosed with a brain tumor was hit by a Harley Davidson driven by billionaire Jared “Mick” McKenna. For reasons that will unfold, Faren decided to keep both her illness and the fact that, in order to pay for her mom’s medical care, she works grave yard at one of his strip clubs. But their budding romance was quickly overshadowed by traumatic pasts, shocking revelations, menacing villains, lies, deceit, crimes, secrets and with hints of corruption and more…

The Token, part 4 will be the culmination of the many events that built up and unfolded in part 1-3. Mick and Faren take things to the next level allowing for some steamy sex scenes. Oh la la! The Token, part 4 answered many questions and allowed for huge progress in the unfolding of mysteries, but like the previous installments part 4 ends with a shocking cliffy! If I was reading all parts in one sitting, I am pretty sure it could be a 5-star. I am looking forward to part 5, The Token 5 for the continuation of their story.

Faren has nothing to lose, with a little encouragement from Kiki, she puts it all on the line and discovers that maybe her dreams truly can come true. But like everything else in her life, just when she finds contentment and maybe even happiness, everything once again starts to unravel.

With every new revelation, another mystery comes to light, enemy plans are halted but a new threat arises.

Once again, Marata Eros brings us a riveting chapter in Faren's life. Just when you think Faren couldn't face another heartbreaking circumstance, she pulls herself up and faces it head-on. The Token 4 brings us even deeper into Faren's story. You can't help but become invested in her heroing tale. Eros brilliantly weaves an intense, dark, suspense-filled, romance that will leave you breathless.

Marata Eros has gone and done it again! Delivering another compelling installment of Faren Mitchell's problematic (to say the least) life. Her gut-busting stories and stellar writing skills are being showcased again.

Faren just keeps tightening her AB muscles and taking sucker punch after sucker punch. She takes each blow like a boss. But finally pieces of her shattered life start piecing together with a little taste of peace with Mick, unfortunately it's short lived.

I rode another emotional roller coaster with TT4 but the mood is lightened by Faren's best friend Kiki and her kick butt snarky/sassy sense of humour, and her pearls of wisdom. "You might be dying Faren, but don't stop living." Truer words have never been said.
Mick is his drool-worthy self, *swoon*. Thorn reveals a little more of his tiny bit of vulnerability beneath is thick external armor, and Faren, of course, shows how strong she truly is in handling her situation the best she can.
I can not wait to see what else is to come to fruition in the next installment, but I'm kinda sad that there is only two more books to go!! This is a fantastically compelling series.

Again, I have to ask myself, how much more can Faren take? For that matter, how much more can I take? The clock is ticking on her life and all she wants is the peace of mind that her mother will be cared for and a slice of the happiness and joy love can bring. Once again, Faren is entangled in the dark strands of the web that is her life. Just when so much good is falling into her life, Faren becomes a target for treachery one more time. Mick is back, thanks to the prodding of Kiki, Faren’s colorful and earthy best friend, who calls things like they are. Thorn becomes almost human in his revelations and then fate, life, whatever you want to call it, slams Faren down. Is she down for the count this time or will she be able to draw on her vast storage of heart and courage one more time. Meanwhile, the clock is still ticking…

The Token 4 Marata Eros’ latest installment in this series of novellas packs her same “sucker-punch-to-the-gut & heart” that is pure Marata. Never have I seen a style so distinct, so vibrantly real, bringing characters to life in the manner Ms. Eros does. Her world is dark, yet at least one little corner of it is filled with hope. Her characters are larger-than-life, I swear, if I could touch one, they would feel like flesh and blood. The dialogue is priceless, real, earthy and emotional. All this packed into a short novella with the ease and grace only few authors can achieve.

Another explosive start to book 4 of The Token Series, following directly from the jaw dropping cliff hanger left at the end of book 3.

Immediately we are thrust right back into the club where Mick has discovered Faren's secret and after viciously beating up Jay and punching Thorn, Mick has made it Very clear what he thinks about her "chosen" career. Seeing Mick Walking away from her like that destroys her - what is she going to do now and will she get the chance to explain to Mick why? Does she have the guts to admit to him her reasons behind doing a job of that kind or will her pride make her lose any chance of ever getting Mick back in her life? Faren's time left to pay her mother's bills, lose her virginity (ideally to Mick) and get Ronnie jailed is running out and the cops don't seem to be helping her with that one, Tagger seems to have his own agenda but what is it? Faren needs to be careful, she has enemy's she doesn't even realise she has and they are closing in fast. Sadistic Ronnie wants to own her - will he finally succeed? Is her time finally up?? Or will she finally manage to gain the upper hand this time around him, his arrogance knows no bounds will he finally slip up??

The Token 4 continues the fast and exciting pace of the previous 3 books, taking you on an emotional journey that will stun you & without a doubt have you holding your breath in anticipation of what is to come! I thoroughly and completely enjoyed this book, reading it cover to cover in 5 hours straight! I simply could not put it down and spent the next day very tired having hardly slept but it was worth it, my only complaint is that the books are not long enough and that we have to wait so long between each one in the series- we need more!!! The cliff hanger endings are so shocking they will rock you so hurry up and give us fans of The Token the next book sooner please!!!

I fully recommend to anyone who loves to read a good mystery combined with sexy, off the chart characters, twisted in with a real emotional journey full of "thrills and spills" as they say!

My Rant: So many emotions are rolling through me about this book. I was completely floored by the plot. Just when I thought it could not get any better I was wrong. So Ronnie gets exactly what was coming to him and I enjoyed every but of it. I was excited when it was our girl Faren who initiate and through the finishing blow, flawless.I am glad the Faren got the courage to face her fears head on. Go Faren...... I am really starting to like Thorn. If you read my previous reviews you would know that I despised him on so many levels. But my girl Marata knows how to turn that bad boy into a knight in shining armor without messing up his bad boys status and at the end of the day Thorn will be Thorn. McKenna still owns a big chunk of my heart. He is everything a good man and companion should be with a raw edge. His relationship with Faren is ruff but deep down in the inside they both know they need each other like the breath that they breathe. The sex scenes are steamy and erotic but the intimacy between the characters is strong and the bond between them is unbreakable. The plot is faced paced and action packed but the cliff hanger is what left my mind spent, my heart rattling and my teeth chattering. I am really nervous y'all..... Im biting my nails. I have no idea how Marata is going to twist this story but I am loving the direction is going. Marata continues to surprise me with her stories and I just cant get enough. Her writing style is unique, captivating and edgy. I cant wait to jump into the Token 5 to see what going to happen next.

Overall I love this book and the Token Series. I rated this book 5 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts and would recommend this book to anyone that loves a romance that is an emotional roller-coaster that is full of action. This book has all the elements of a great story with a edgy twist. I will be adding the Token 4 to my favorites list.

Yes folks, she did it again!! This series just gets better and better!! With every word written, even web woven, secrets revealed, I’m undeniable addicted!! I’m so anxious for the rest of the series to end just so that I can curl up and reread them all in one sitting. Yet, on the same token (like my play on words there??) I NEVER want it to end!! The Token 4 has managed to conjure up even more emotions in me that I’m simply addicted. In TT3, Mick broke my heart and left me shattered and in an awful emotional state. In TT4, let me just say…oh how I love that man. WOW!!! And then there’s Thorn. In the beginning….I was not a fan…..at all, an now, the more I read, the more he’s grown on me in a strange, twisted , good sort of way. Another must read!!

This is the book in the series with all the answers. You find out what the connection is between Thorn and Mick, why Mick owns the club's, why he is drawn to Faren and what happens with Ronnie, Faren's steps as.

I was on the edge of my seat as we left off in book 3 with Mick finding out the deceptions of Thorn and Faren. That is pretty quickly resolved but not without some hesitation. Things quickly change when Ronnie makes a final attempt on Faren's life. However, Tagger is also hot on the trail and with him holding some kind of grudge against Mick and Thorn had you wondering who will live and who will survive.

Gritty story

Good book, but too short for the price, a one hour read for two pounds. I have really enjoyed this dark story, but it's been chopped up into 10 very short novellas for £16, which I think is just too expensive. The first three shorts are free, but the rest are two or three pounds each for very short books. Well written with good editing, shame it's not on kindle unlimited.

The Token 4 is an incredible addition to the story your heart will race and your head will spin.
YOU MUST READ THIS SERIES!!!!!!!

This series gets better and better with each instalment. I never know where it will end up. Just when you think you have it figured out BAM you get thrown against the hardest invisible wall of AWESOME!!!!

This addition takes us to the next level of Faren and Mick's relationship.

I love how these stories answer all your questions yes there are cliff hangers but all stories are tied with sturdy rope with little extras that you didnt know you wanted but darn glad you got.

The sexy scenes are beyond hot this woman knows how to write a spicy red hot scene, I love the inventiveness of them its pretty amazing.

This instalment is riddled with twists and turns my head is still spinning. Just when you think the story could end here and Ill be happy. Marata grabs you by the hair slaps you across the face and lets you know there is more, this isnt the end and your kidding yourself if you think that it is. She knows Awesome and you just have to trust that she knows best.

The revelations of Mick and Thorn are a doozy, and incredibly sad. Mick is this enigma that we get to know his personality but his story is a mystery.

Faren's story is still full of secrets and omissions and some serious revelations.

Please more Thorn he is so interesting and I think there is way more to his story. (He gets his own instalment soon).

I love that these additions get better and better, cant wait for the next instalment.

All up a mixture of incredibly mind boggling to amazingly awesome, I need to read the rest of this series seriously like now. Will most definitely be continuing with the series.

After the truth of Faren's current career choice comes out Faren must pick up the pieces and try to fit them back together. With a foul-proof plan to win Mick back, Faren only has one more lie, one more betrayal until she's paid off her mother's care. However, Faren learns that Jay isn't going to let her go so easily... As the tension rises will Faren come out on top or sink into despair?

The Token 4 picks up after the massive cliffhanger in the previous installment. Her life is currently in shambles but she hasn't given up hope on fixing it. Determined to win Mick back she only has one more devious commitment to attend to and she's home free. Despite a positive outlook Faren becomes a magnet for danger and trickery. There are many enemies in her midst and we begin to see different facets of the secondary characters.

I have to say... I am still very satisfied with this series... there hasn't been a "dud" or one story that isn't as exciting as the others. Each installment in this serial is fast-paced, interesting, and has a few twists and turns which I never expect. I'm enjoying seeing the secondary characters "come alive" from the pages and start to play a central role in Faren and Mick's story. Thorn...he has a soft side...*wistful sigh*

Although I love reading from her viewpoint, I don't adore Faren as much as I did before. She has a SEVERE case of tunnel vision where Mick has eclipsed her mind and every thought... and I have to admit I'd like a little more of Faren-the-bad-girl to come back. For once, I'd like to see her do something naughty and not cry or puke about it.

Not really sure how I feel about these 4 books so far. In a way I keep thinking why? Why am I even reading these? And why did I pay for them? But then on the other hand they are interesting in a weird sort of way. I luved the Druid Breeders n The Siren Series, I even read the whole Dara Nicoles Series, so I figured if I already spent the time n money on all those books I surely would luv this series too right? Well not so much! What bothers me is the dialog, especially Kiki's, some of the things she says just makes no damn sense, AT ALL. I find myself re-reading her parts thinking maybe I'm really that tired that it's just not sinking in. But no, it's not me, it's the things she says. I end up just moving on hoping that if I just keep reading, it will make some sense! Sometimes I can ignore it but other times it makes me want to just quit n give up with the book. So yes, I rated them 4 but I think 3.5 would be more like it! If your in the same boat I am, I will keep reading this series (because i'm invested now), and others by Marata Eros because I know she's a great author!

I like the relationship progression between Mick and Faren in this book, but still things that annoy me and stop me giving a higher rating..Faren finally explains to Mick why she's doing what she's doing, and of course he understand (so again she should've told him sooner!). He tells her he'll look after her Mum's bills and doesn't want her around those type of men again. So why does she agree to still go on a date with Jay?!?! And no good reason why she doesn't tell Mick what Jay threatened!
And she def shouldn't have lied to Mick about never leaving him, and should've told him the truth sooner ..

Looking forward to seeing how things pan out in the next book.

I gave up 64% into this.

Marata Eros had a good story going - but the problem I had with this is that it is drawn out too much, the story is all over the place and plot just got lost. When I saw that this was going onto a book 6 (and I don't know if it will finish there) I gave up. I don't like trilogies at the best of times so this is just a big no from me. Pity really because it could have been good if it was wrapped up earlier.

Always one star off for this being a series instead of a book. Otherwise great guns this book is much more violent than it needs to be. Another star off. I like the twists and where story is headed.
