Nashville, the complete series, Books 1-10. One thousand plus pages of contemporary romance set in the heart of country music. Ever thought a dream might pass you by? Nineteen-year old CeCe Mackenzie is determined to make her dreams come true. She heads for Nashville with not much more to her name than a guitar, a Walker Hound named Hank Junior and an old car she'd inherited from her grandma called Gertrude. But when Gertrude ends up on the side of I-40 in flames, Nashville has never seemed farther away. Help arrives in the form of two Georgia football players headed for the Nashville dream as well. When Holden Ashford and Thomas Franklin stop to offer CeCe and Hank Junior a ride, fate may just give a nod to serendipity and meant to be. Because while CeCe is chasing after her dream, she might find love as well. "Amazing and heartfelt! I couldn't stop reading! From the beginning till the end I was captured. Its like I know the characters personally. And to experience their passion of music is phenomenal. The dilemmas they go through is so realistic and easy to relate to. Definitely recommending this series!" - A. Mandy. "Sweet, easy, wonderful. Inglath Cooper draws you in with her words and her amazing characters. It is a joy to pick up these books. You won't want to wait a second to pick up the next book!" - Ready2Read. "I love this new series. Each installment is well written, great characters and plot. I can't wait for the next book in this series and will re-read this whole series again and again." - JoanneW.
Virginia author Inglath Cooper fell in love with reading as a little girl, devouring most of the books in her elementary school library. At some point, she decided she wanted to pursue a writing career, creating romance fiction that did for others what her favorite books have done for her. “I love character-driven books that leave me feeling as if I’ve really known these people and make me wish I didn’t have to turn the last page.”
“Romance fiction has always appealed to me because it deals with so many of the relationships in a woman’s life. Not only the love of her life, but often her relationship with her mother, sister or best friend. Romance authors have so much room to explore many of the meaningful moments and transitions in women’s lives. And who doesn’t love a good love story?”
Inglath most often writes stories about love and life that are set in small Virginia towns like the one where she grew up. “I like to think the flavor of my hometown shows up in my books both in their setting and through the characters who people it.”
When aspiring writers ask her how to be an author, she says, “Everything I know about writing books I learned from reading books.”
Inglath has been chosen as a RITA® Award winner for best long contemporary romance novel given out each year by Romance Writers of America. Her books are available through Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, itunes.com, and Kobobooks.com.
Outside of writing, Inglath is actively involved in dog rescue, working with The Franklin County Humane Society to place dogs and cats in need of rehoming. She volunteers her time in every capacity possible: serving on the Board of Directors, fundraising, photographing dogs and cats available for adoption and serving as a foster home. “Helping an abused or neglected dog go on to have a wonderful life with a family who loves them is more rewarding than I can possibly say.”
Honestly this rating probably suffers because it is based on all 10 books and even though they were very short the whole thing was more like 2-3 good sized books. I really couldn't stop reading but where it started to lose stars for me was probably around about the eighth book. It just became the series that wouldn't quit. It just kept going and while that could've been great if you would've shown me how they all go on to be happy and go on a big tour or something but instead it was just more and more bad things happening to the same people. These poor couples just couldn't ever catch a break, it was like everything bad that could happen was thrown in! Right up to the very end I thought we were going to get yet another tragedy. It was a sweet read, very clean but sometimes that's nice for a change. Some side characters seemed to play a pretty big role and then they just get dropped and never mentioned again. I'm curious if some of them are part of another series but I'm not sure yet if I want to dive into anything else by this author, she seems hung up on all things depressing. If you're going to read it be ready to read all 10 since every book is left with a cliffhanger.
Nashville- Books One-Ten: The Complete Series is by Ingath Cooper. This is the entire nine books about Nashville. It takes Thomas Franklin, CeCe MacKenzie, and Holden Ashforth from their homes in Virginia and Georgia to the heights of the music world of Nashville. When CeCe’s car engine explodes on the interstate with all her worldly belongings except for her guitar and lyric book and her dog Hank Junior, Thomas Franklin and Holden Ashforth stop to help her and end up taking her with them to the Bluebird where they are to play that night. Since she had told them her uncle, Dodie Crawford, had given her his guitar and she had been singing since she was five, Thomas called her up that night to sing with him. With that song, the duo of Thomas and Holden became a trio and were on their way to stardom. All they needed now was a break. Having all ten books together made the story much more enjoyable. Having to wait between books to get on with their story is distracting and misleading. I don’t particularly like books being broken up like this. That makes them too choppy. I prefer one much thicker book than ten short ones.
Nashville - Books One - Ten. Inglat h has done it again.
I have read a number of books by Inglat h Cooper. I always enjoy her characters in each book. They are well developed, very diverse personalities that are written to work well together to build her stories.
I am happy U read this "Series" after it was completed. If I had read it as individual books, I would have been frustrated by having to wait for the next release.
Each book could be read independently but in total it is much more cohesive and complete.
When reading Inglath's books, it takes me a little time to get into her writing style. She frequently based the book in current time, and writes the characters in first person. Each chapter represents one of the characters who's name appears as the header or name of the chapter or segment of the book. That person is then written as "I am doing... " instead of "Thomas did..." All that being said, I enjoyed the Nashville series very much. I will continue to read books by this author.
If the series had ended before the stalker book, I would have given it 5 stars. The writing’s smooth, the characters are engaging, the tone is hopeful and there’d been downs to balance the ups. Unfortunately, the last two books were just too much on the terror and tragedy side. It began to feel like Barefoot Outback was the unluckiest band in creation with its members careening from one awful thing to the next. As if Ms Cooper was imagining all the terrible things that can happen to someone in the public eye and then putting her characters through them, one after the next. For the last couple of books the series was seeming way too much like the Perils of Pauline; reading it got to be a real downer with too little good to balance all the bad. Before that point it was great, I just wished I’d stopped two books sooner than I did. After I’ve had a chance to get over the stress of reading this series, I may well give some of Ms. Cooper’s other books a try and hope they’re more like the earlier books than the last two.
The first book was sort of meh, but idk... something had me hooked. Every one of the books left you wanting more and more. I think her writing got better and better with every book as well. Such difficult tradjedies... such amazing characters.... love all the country music references as well. You know that empty feeling after a good book? The one that leaves you a little sad to see the characters go, leave a little bit wounded from the events, and it feels like you need to emotionally heal for a few days before diving into the next book? That's how this book left me, and I have to say I love that feeling, because to me the way you are left wanting these characters to stick around is the feeling of just having finished a truly good book. There are a bunch of little things I could comment on, but none are "make it or break it" for me. Overall, this was a good read that kept me occupied for a few days and left my heart feeling whole from going on the journey with these characters.
I wanted to love these books but it was constant tragedy. No one has that many bad things happen. The books center on 3 characters who meet while heading to Nashville to become singers/songwriters. Of course they meet because the female’s (CeCe) burns up on the highway and the 2 guys(Holden and Thomas) stop to help. She calls a tow truck then jumps in their car with her dog and off she goes. Really What happened to her car? Who paid the tow truck? The entire series continues in this manner. I actually enjoyed the first few books the best easy reading and they were not constantly being stalked, shot at,losing babies, being kidnapped etc. Tahoe books would have been better if more time had been spend fleshing out the characters and following their careers. I see from other reviews books were more enjoyed. So may just be my opinion
Don't start this series if you have a deadline looming or just remember I warned you. I had the luxury(strange choice of words) of starting while I'm recuperating from an illness and under orders to rest. Inglath Cooper takes you by the hand and leads you into the lives of characters you learn to love, want to protect and want to smack upside the head sometimes. I could tell you why I didn't give it 5 stars, because it wasn't perfect, but neither is real life or love so stop reading this review and check it out for yourself. I guarantee you're in for a ride.
An enjoyable, sometimes frustrating, journey about the life, love and loss that I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I became really invested in the characters and seeing out how they’re life unfolded. It’s a testament to the writing that I could see the character growth and development across the 10 book series. There were a few things that I wish we could’ve seen resolved and some plot holes, but I overall really enjoyed it. In my head, Barefoot Outlook went on tour complete with the entire family, vacationing and seeing the sites on their off days, Lila has made a name for herself as a writer, Holden and Cece give Gigi a sibling, and everything is all well and good.

I am just so amazed at the writing of this series. I have read thousands and thousands of books by so many different writers, found them very heart felt and happy and sad tears but these books have brought so many tears of sadness as well as happiness and so much love that I actually felt apart of it all. I absolutely loved them and would recommend them to all the readers out there that love the contemporary romances’ that I love as well be apart of their stories. Good luck, God bless and enjoy them as I have.
This book grabs you from the very beginning & it doesn’t stop till the very end. It has everything from romance to heartbreak, suspense & all kinds of drama in between. I loved how it pulled you in the story & you felt every raw emotion it through at them that you feel as if you’re there! This honestly was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.
From the very beginning of Book 1, I was hooked on the story and read non-stop through Book 10! I pretty much spent an entire weekend reading these 10 books as I wanted to find out what happened to the characters. Each book ends with a cliffhanger so you have no choice but to start the next book! I have never read any books by Inglath Cooper but I enjoy her writing and will definitely check out her other books.
I’m super disappointed that the story has come to in end!! I started reading the series about 5 days ago & I didn’t want to put it down!! Every obstacle that was thrown their way just made me love the characters even more! I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to read this series!
Cece must have a bad case of dehydration. All she does is cry . It gets old.
Didn't like not having numbered chapters. Especially when combining books one-ten. The story itself was good, but I felt there was a lot of redundancy. And way too much crying and sobbing for supposedly strong women.
I love Love ms Coopers books, this one I’m not in love with. Loved the characters would of loved to see more of Case and how CeCes mom helped him when his son passed and their developing relationship. My problem with this book was so may deep deep lows in every book and not enough happiness. Not my favorite but they all can’t be perfect, I would read it.
This series was amazing!!! The characters were believable and I found myself alternating between laughing and crying! It only took me 2 and a half days to read this entire series! I did not want to put it down!!
So glad I got all ten books at once. The story takes CCee, Thomas, and Golden on their way to Nashville. There struggles, loves and tragedies go on through all ten books. Absolute best series ever!
I started reading the book one by one and I couldn't put it down so I got the complete series. I recommend this book highly and will continue to read Inglath Cooper, what a talented writer.
Good read for anyone who likes books that have a great beginning middle and end.
Good easy Read. I love reading the day by day accounting of these three people who made families and friends along the way. Love the dogs being incorporated through out the story’s.
Chose this book purely for the title and lucky for me it did not disappoint...I started with book one and continued through the series. Each book goes more in depth so that by book ten, all the blanks and questions are answered.
This is a great series. Great characters and great storyline. I fell in love with all the people and felt like I knew them. I was kind of sad when I got to the last book and I’m going to miss reading about all of them. Keep up the great writing.
These are the first books I've read by this author and I like them. I thought at first they were going to be light and mostly about music and some of it is but we go on a life journey with the characters and really start to care about them.
I read all 10 books in the series and was sad to see them end. I thoroughly enjoyed how the stories all entwined. I will definitely be finding more books to read by this author.
I had to read this/these story/stories almost straight through in a couple of sittings. The characters were well written, and each storyline was compelling. Looking for the next book by Inglath Cooper. Thank you!
Great from beginning to end..... The character went through and over came so much... The author had me hooked from moment one... Definitely need to check this out
Nashville is a great story. My emotions were all over the place. Was a pretty quick read, even though I needed to put it down occasionally to regroup when bad things were happening to the different characters.
This collection was on a library kindle I decided to try. Sweet, though somewhat soap opera-ish and highly unrealistic, fairly clean (scarce mild language and no explicit scenes), these were fun fast reads. I enjoyed the country music storyline and plot kept me interested. Lovable characters.
