Former SAS operatives face off against rogue PMCs for control of a senator and his vote...
A tropical getaway turns deadly when a senator and his family are taken hostage by a group of highly-trained mercenaries. The United States government wants this handled quietly, so they hire Mercer and his team to resolve the crisis situation. But the K&R specialists aren't the only ones tasked with providing a solution. The island's police force and the appearance of an American spy further complicate the negotiation, making a positive recovery even less likely.
While everyone else's priority is finding a way to control the situation and inherent fallout, Mercer is focused on rescuing the captured family. Death, destruction, and mayhem ensue in a bloody battle of wits. This is the most deadly game of chicken Mercer has ever played, and the stakes are higher than ever.

This is book 3 of the Julian Mercer series. Alexis Parker does appear via phone calls. I have read the 27 full length Alexis Parker series twice, and the 3 Alexis Parker prequels once. I have also read the 10 Liv DeMarco series twice. This author does a good job with character development, plots, funny dialogue, mystery, and suspense.
This is one fabulous series. I cannot wait for the next book comes out. The suspense in this book went all the way till the end of the book. This is a can't put down book. I highly recommend this series.
A politician's family is kidnapped & Mercer's team are hired to rescue them. Then the plot twists, turns, gets thicker until no one knows who to trust. Friction within the team leads to quite an explosive mix. But again the wrongdoers lose out in the end.
