Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.

I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.

Quinn Loftis does this every time. She intricately weaves these unique stores the reel us in, over and over again. She develops her character in a way that we either love them, hate them--love to hate them or vice versa.

In Dream So Dark we pick back up right where we left off. Which means right away we're are throne back into this world of dreams, foster care, guardian angels, and good vs evil. I appreciate that the story didn't draw out in the beginning, especially since her fans have been waiting for it for what feels like forever (but than again a week can feel like a year in the book world). So many things are happening to these characters, so many trials they are each facing. It is beautiful in all its sorrow.

Dair, aka Sandman, aka hot, all consuming, alpha male. In this book we see his struggle to balance all his responsibilities. His need to be with Serenity, to also keep her safe and protected, is becoming a hard feat. It doesn't help that he is also trying to protect little Emma and do what he was created to do, while also searching for answers. His frustration and desperation has the potential to lead him down a path that he should never walk.

"She was everything to him. She was the smile on his lips, the joy in his heart, the sun on his face, and the light in his darkness."

Serenity, our very caring, giving, kind-hearted heroine. She is recovering from a gun shot wound received by protecting Emma at the end of book one. But, saving Emma has caused her to catch the eye of a...lets just say, not someone you want to be on their radar. She is fighting her own battle, and for once Dair is powerless to help her.

"Not you!" he snapped. "You are the one person on this planet that should never have bad dreams. You are mated to the Sandman. If I can't protect your dreams, what good am I?"

And Emma, precious, genius, strong, little Emma. This little strong willed eight-year old was a game changer in this book. Her story, her struggle, her journey, has been so heart breaking. But, though she experience what most wouldn't experience in a life time, she does it with such faith and courage that it was so hard for me to comprehend her strength of character. Another thing I loved about her were the little phrases that her mama would say. These little moments add more character to her already extraordinarily wise personality.

"My mama used to say that life is what we make of it, not what our circumstances make of us."

Of course with Emma we get Raphael. Emma's trusty guardian angel. I enjoyed his learned use of sarcasm. But, most of all, I loved that he helped Emma feel safe, cared for, and that she is never alone.

"That is one thing you will never have to worry about, little one. I will be here for as long as you need me. If you should fall, I will not let you hit the bottom. If you should stumble, I will steady you. I will show you the love that the Creator has for you."

This book was a very emotional read. It had pains, hardships, and transgression. I cried so hard while reading this book. I felt for these character (one in particular). There is this one scene (you will know when you read it) that had my heart breaking with such sorrow. But that what good writing is. It's when you are sucked up in the storyline, experiencing and empathizing with every affliction being had. Even though this book had some puffy eye moments, there was more to it. Dream So Dark also illustrated that there can be peace found through the pain, that there is help in the hardships, and that there is always justice found on our behalf.

I love all of Quinn Loftis's books and I am so glad I volunteered to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly I’m a die hard fan so I went into this series expecting to love everything about it and then some.
I made sure I read both books in this series one after the other and literally took 2 days to do so. I’m not a religious person and admittedly at first I was more than a little uncomfortable as there are a lot of heavy religious references this book more so than the first one. It did hit on many of the reasons I have made this choice. Having said that it was not enough to make me stop reading and allready be dying to read the next one. I absolutely and completely fell in love with little Emma. I wanted to scoop that little girl up and take her home and keep her safe. I had to explain to my son who was playing next to me as I read that I wasn’t crying because I was really sad that it was just a sad part in the story I was reading and later explain to my husband that I hadn’t gone crazy that I was actually laughing because in the story I was reading a little girl was giving a angel some sass.
I read because I want to get away. Because I want to get lost in another world for a little while and to learn or think about something new. This book definitely hit all of those marks for me.

The title is spot on...SO DARK indeed

Be forewarned, Dream So Dark is not a light read.

Quinn Loftis is an outstanding author who skillfully writes her way into your heart. Usually her writing is much lighter so I was caught a bit off-guard by the deep darkness of this book. She did put a disclaimer in the book's information but I just couldn't conceive it to really be true.

Dream So Dark is heart breaking and full of sorrow and hate. It is also full of love, strength and faith.

I cried several times and not because a scene was so beautiful but because what was happening stole my breath with horror. While reading I found myself refusing to accept what was happening in various scenes throughout the book. I almost put down and closed the book, knowing that I would be unable to pick it back up. However, I was also so drawn to the characters in this story that I just couldn't "give up" on them. In end, I am glad that I held on "for them".

The writing is so detailed and all encompassing that each scene plays like a movie right before your eyes. There is beauty in the tragedy found in various scenes throughout the book.

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received a ARC of Dream so Dark second in this series and would highly recommend to anyone even if its a first with Quinn Loftis or if you are a return reader like myself.. Could not put down till I finished the whole thing! doubt you will be able to either.
The shear emotions this book not only manages to be put on paper so to speak but bring out in you is phenomenal!!
Love how Quinn has managed to intertwine the world she has created with the world as we know it, but don't necessarily give much thought and consideration to in our day to day lives.. #powerfulmessages.
Trying not to put any spoilers in my review as think the book is an experience in itself that each individual reader should go through and take away from.
Will just say there is more trials and tribulations for the characters to go through and more probably yet to come, without giving away what.. Want to find out???? Dream so Dark is released on 7th November 2017, not long now!!! Don't forget to get your copy!!! You won't regret it trust me! 😁

I received an ARC of this book and what a special experience it was. I found it to be very sensitively written- enough to know what is happening without going into unnecessary detail for shock value. A less is more approach worked really well.
I love the themes running throughout, love, morality, temptation and forgiveness. Everyone wants to be like Darla, I want my sons to meet someone like Serenity. Dair is intriguing, the epitome of dark and brooding. Glory is someone that I would like to know more about, I am sure there is more to come for her.
I found myself emotionally invested in each thread if you like, Serenity and Dair, Emma and Raphael. Even while the bad was occurring, there was an overwhelming feeling of love and sorrow from the Creator.

I loved the book, I think it is one that is going to linger on my mind for a while.

This book is amazing. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book. Dream of me book one is free right now so if you haven't started this series yet now is a great time. I have read all of Quinn Loftis' books and they are all amazing. Her books will bring out all different emotions. I cry, laugh, get mad, get frustrated and get happy. If you are looking for a great author she has many to keep you busy and if your like me you will find yourself reading them more then once. I have to say I enjoy them so much that I have lost count as to how many times I've read them. I started with Prince of wolves (which is free) and got hooked immediately. I own all her books. she will not disappoint.

Quinn Loftis is an amazing creative author. “Dream So Dark” is the second in the series. This is a very well written book. There are so many things going on in Brudair and Serenity’s story ( two souls that connect). Brudair the sandman also known as Dair. It’s also Emma’s story a very intellectual 8 year old wise beyond her age. The characters are strong in their faith and belief in the creator. There is lightness and darkness, goodness and evil. The heavenly being and demons fight to change the destiny of Dare, Serenity and Emma. This book will make you laugh, cry and gasp. You need to read book one or book two will not make any sense. I’m was given this book as an ARC reader and have given my honest opinion. I started reading Quinn’s Grey Wolf series and have seen how this amazing lady has grown into an amazing author.

This was such an emotional book. I absolutely could not put it down. You definitely need to read this series in order, this book picks up right where the first one left off. So if you read out of order you will be confused and unable to follow along.

There are a few trigger warnings, the story does not go into details but things are implied (child trafficking, child rape/abuse). However, I saw where Quinn Loftis was going with this. At first, I was so distraught that little Emma was going through so much in her small life but I saw where the author was taking it at the end. If she didn't have those experiences she would not have been able to help others the way she did. It didn't make it right, but it was necessary for the story. This isn't a story about rainbows and unicorns. It's about having faith and knowing there's a method to the madness.

Emma is so strong and mature and I wish she could be a little girl but she is so important. Serenity was shot in the first book and in this one she has to make a very hard decision. However, with a supportive family and the best group of friends I know they will do everything they can to help fix her situation.

I have loved everything I've read by Quinn Loftis and this book was no exception. I can't wait to see what happens next with this extraordinary group and I know they will overcome and do great things.

Be prepared to cry through most of the book. Tears of joy, sadness, anger......just tears.

Voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I have no words to describe this, I finished it all in one day, over half of it in one sitting. Quinn does it again, takes ordinary people and puts them in extraordinary positions. I found myself wanting to scream at some of the characters for making certain decision and thinking certain thoughts, I wanted to cry with others when they were going through such pain and turmoil, I wanted to hug them when they made much more mature choices than I could have made! All I can say is if you choose to read this book make sure you have a full 24 hours to do it. Also Quinn...There had better be a freaking sequel or I will scream!!!

Darker Dreams

This story really was a lot darker than the first one, and having been raised in sexual abuse by an alcoholic stepfather myself, I struggled to get through some parts because of triggering effects. That being said, it was still a good second installment of the series and I look forward to finding out what happens with Serenity, Dair, Emma, and Raphael.

Book two of the dream maker series, Quinn Loftis has done it again written a beautiful story that had moments of laughter and happiness and incredible sad and dark moments that bring you to tears and what a cliffhanger at the end of the book I’m even more desperate for third book dreams so true to happen. The characters are amazing I love how they fight to overcome such obstacles and challenges.

Following the events of the previous book Serenity is recover from her gunshot wound and finds herself and Dair tested in ways they never expected with Lucifer and evil minions targeting them. Serenity is subjected to horrifying nightmares thanks to the high demon of nightmares Epipales the dark evil version of Dair. Lucifer poses as a doctor to seduce Serenity in hopes of breaking their bond apart. Lucifer ends up trapping in a horrifying coma dream state of watching her loved ones die. Dair is subjected similarly by watching different men rape and kill Serenity, Lucifer nearly succeeds in breaking him by trying to convince him to kill. Luckily stopped by Emma however at the end of the book Serenity is still trapped in the dream Lucifer created.

Emma is taken to her grandfathers house Reginald Jones her guardian angel Raphael follows her, the new school is ridden with both demons and angels Raphael learns from another angel Simeon that principal Flannigan is possessed and can’t prove that’s he’s responsible for the mysterious disappearances of several children, they are over twenty angels around including in the overseer archangel Michael. Emma is raped by her own grandfather and refuses to break. She and Raphael find the missing children. Emma is able to reunite with Darla and Wayne who have been trying to get through the foster procedures.

I have read and reread Quinn’s books for years now, and I am a huge fan of her stories. They have helped me through a lot of rough times, and I will be forever grateful. Her books go beyond the typical hearts and flowers of romance and touch on much deeper emotions and things like family, loyalty, sacrifice, faith and so much more. But the heavier subjects are balanced out with humor, fun, and adventure, which is what really makes the great stories that Quinn has shared. And Dream So Dark is absolutely no different. I fell in love with these relatable and touching characters as soon as I read the first book, Dream Of Me, two years ago. And I am here to tell you that the wait has been well worth it because by the end of this book I was ugly crying for sure. No matter your level of faith, this book holds truly important lessons, which are especially evident through Emma’s character and her mother’s advice that often paves the path of the plot. Emma is such a wonderfully thought-out character, and my heart broke over the tragedies that she had to face in this book. But I was simultaneously filled with hope of my purpose in life. And to spark such emotions is no easy task, and I have to say that Quinn’s writing just keeps getting better and better. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching her talent grow, and I pray for lots more stories in the future. Overall, Dream So Dark is an absolute must-read!

First let me start by saying that Quinn Loftis is my favorite author. I've read and reread her Grey Wolves and Gypsy Healers so many times. So when I was given a chance to do an ARC, I jumped at it. I mean, heck ya!! So to start I read Dream of Me to get reacquainted with Dair and Serenity. Then I started Dream so Dark. And boy was I surprised!! I can't say enough how in love with Dair, I am. Serenity is so great!! But my favorite character?? Little Emma! I have an 8 year old daughter. So the darkness surrounding Emma and the tragedies she goes through, really hit a little too close to home for comfort. I imagined my own kiddo and at times, though details were not gone into for Emma's abuse, I had to put the book down for a bit and come back to it. But the overall message from Emma?? Astounding!! Her faith and strength in God never waver. Emma, throughout, made me want to be a better person. She was strong, smart and so witty. I could definitely understand Serenity sacrificing herself for Emma. The entire story is so attention-grabbing. I couldn't help but ask my husband to be more like Dair 😉. The entire dynamic of the family, and the love connections, are so smooth and easy to want to be apart of. The unwavering faith in God throughout is something to strive for. I really hope anyone who reads this, feels as attached to the characters as I do. Be strong through the rough parts, and then get to the end and be impatient for the next book!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Let me preface this review by saying Quinn is my favorite author. While I absolutely adore her Grey Wolves series and all other works. I will say that if you are new to Quinn then The Dream of Me series is where I recommend you start your journey with this author.

Since I've been a fan from the beginning I have seen the evolution of Quinn's writing. She has come such a long way and is able to create such beautifully flawed, and realistic characters. They may be dealing with the supernatural but all of her characters are so relatable. Their reactions, choices and feelings are very human. A trait I very much love in her works.

So of course when she asked for volunteers to read her ARC I was on it like Dair with Serenity after a week apart! ;P

I have waited so long for this book, it's seriously felt like FOREVER! You truly fall in love with theses characters in the first book, Dream of Me. Since then I've anticipated and built this sequel up in my head. I have to say that it did not disappoint. In fact this sequel went above and beyond my expectations!

Just when I didn't think I could fall in love with the characters more we are given such heartwarming and heartbreaking moments.

Life is a series of paths and choices, this book perfectly displays that for its readers. If you are looking for light read this is not the book for you. However if you want well rounded characters and a great storyline with real trials and tribulations for its characters then get cozy, I guarantee you won't be able to put this book down!!!

Enjoy readers and welcome to the pack!

Edit: This is a further in depth review for those who have read the book so stop here if you dont want spoilers!!!!

Let me preface this review by saying Quinn covered some very hard topics in this novel. Please read the trigger warning before you venture into this sequel.

This novel takes off where Dream of Me ended. Right off the bat we are reminded that for our beloved characters the worst has yet to come. The trials and tribulations they will be facing in this book will set the tone for the series.

Dair and Serenity are in a new relationship, and like many new relationships they are still figuring each other out. In this new relationship it doesn't help that the devil himself, Lucifer, has decided to personally target Serenity. Unfortunately Lucifer takes great pleasure in personally tormenting out OTP.

Meanwhile Emma and her warrior angel Raphael have their hands full with her grandfather Mr. Jones. Additionally we come to find that they are in a demon infested town and we know our little Emma will have to face many trials in her hopefully short time there. While there she will have to turn even more to her faith and into the arms of those she loves to survive this turning point in her life.

While our OTP may be dealing with supernatural interference it is not unlike what many couples go through. Wanting to protect those you love so you withhold information, or maybe don't tell the whole truth. Which can sometimes lead down a path of miscommunication with a loved one. Even something like being attracted to someone other than your significant other and the guilt that comes with this.

The evil that our beloved characters encounter in Dream So Dark is real. I think that is why this is my favorite novel of Quinn's so far. Life is all about the choices we make and how we chose to live our lives. Something so horrific happened to Emma, a young innocent child. Instead of letting that break her into a bitter horrible person she chooses to rise above it and is able to see the good in her life that much more clearly.

I really loved the aspect of how Emma who is just a child is truly the strongest character in DSD. Dair an immortal being is pretty much out of commission because he is dealing with all these new feelings and is easily influenced do to his love of Serenity.

While all our characters have varying degrees of faith Emma's faith is the strongest not despite what she has been through but in spite of it. I think whether or not you are a person of faith this is a great follow up novel to what promises to be Quinn's best series yet.

** I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review **
First, Quinn Loftis is an inspiring writer, when I was given the opportunity to do this ARC I absolutely jumped at it. Quinn makes characters come alive. You meet them, not just read about them and you are sad when it is time to say goodbye.
Second, on to Dream so Dark!
Dream so Dark is the second book in the series Dream Maker. The first book is Dream of Me and as of right now, free as an ebook on, ibooks, Barnes and Noble Nook, and Amazon Kindle. In my opinion, you do need to have read the first book in this series to truly be able to follow this second book. The Dream Maker series is a paranormal/supernatural storyline, but with flavorings of history, religion, and politics. This is a much darker/more mature storyline than many of Quinn’s other books and the second book is darker than the first and requires more maturity. That said, there is nothing over the top. Child trafficking is mentioned very peripherally, rape is mentioned more by implication than detailed description, and foster care, along with its failings and dangers, is discussed.
The book begins where we left off with the main characters Dair, Serenity, Emma, and Raphael locked into a literal struggle of Good v. Evil. Dair represents the struggle, alive in everyone, of one’s own selfish needs versus the understanding of allowing others to make their own choices. Serenity represents the goodness that everyone has in them, but at times struggles to show. Emma represents innocence, intelligence, and faith wrapped together. Finally, Raphael is our protector. All of the characters are fully developed and have bad as well as good in them, but all in all pick a good trait intelligence, selflessness, protection, or love and you will find a character to bond with.
The book moves along at a good pace without dwelling too long on any particularly gory or disturbing details, but at the same time does manage to convey the pain, sorrow, and disgust necessary. The lack of extreme detail in some of these scenes was a surprise to me from Quinn who usually paints an exceptionally vivid picture in my mind, but was a good choice in these circumstances. It allows less mature readers to understand the storyline and empathize with the characters, but does not force upon them the visualization. At the same time, the more mature readers have no trouble filling in the blanks.
Emma becomes a much more central character to Dream so Dark and the reader spends much of his/her time inside little Emma’s head. It is hard sometimes to remember that Emma is only 8! Raphael also takes a bigger role while helping Ella. He begins to use sarcasm which caused me at times to start giggling uncontrollably and just contributes to the overall emotional rollercoaster of this books. From the highs of Raphael’s sarcasm and Emma’s courage to the lows of nightmares, demons, and the separation of true love this book sucks you in as you laugh and cry; gasp and yell along with all of the characters, the hallmark of a truly outstanding book.
The book predictably ends in Quinn’s trademark cliff hanger – possibly the only part of the book I dislike because now I am forced into withdrawal again! BUT! That does mean we get another book with these wonderful characters in the future!
All in all, I am happy to give this book 5 stars, and I am so happy to have been chosen to give this ARC Review.

Life is filled with making choices....which will you

I was given this ARC to read, to give an honest opinion of the book, t "Dream So Dark" 2.
Reading this book has been really eye opening, by this I mean that even though the characters are fictional the story line is so lifelike that the reader could believe that they could be in the situation similar to the story.
To understand the book I re-read the first book "Dream of Me" when I finished I could hardly wait to start "Dream So Dark" .
How Quinn could be such a wonderful author as Dair is the Sandman, Quinn is definitely a storyteller!!
Quinn can weave the character's lives So that you can feel as though you know them as much as that they're your friends. She can have you feeling, asking yourself the same questions that the character's are asking themselves Quinn brings so much of herself in each and every book she writes and to me that shows how much she loves writing books giving such wonderful stories to her fans to be able to relax from a hard day.
As to "Dream So Dark"; th Dair, Serenity, Emma and Rafael had me page turning so fast that I couldn't stop except falling asleep or having to go to work.
Quinn had me on the edge, then smiling, crying then mad but the whole time seeing what "Free Will" that the characters would of taken that would be what i would do.
She wrote so that you could fall in love with her character's, their stories and love them as much as she loves them.
The book is well written, has surprising twists and turns, has you just wanting more and more. Quinn also is the wonderful author that has written the Gray Woves series, the Elfin series and the Gypsy Healers series she has you waiting with baited breath for each of her books which I try my best not to miss a single one.
If you have read any of the above or want to start a new book please try Dream of Me and then Dream So Dark and you will not be long in getting her other wonderful books...

This is the second book in the Dream Maker series, I highly recommend you read book one, Dream of Me.

We start off right when we ended in book one, Serenity is in the hospital after everything that happened and Emma has been sent off to another horrible house to live in by DHS. Thankfully she has her guardian angel with her.

Dair and Serenity’s relationship continues to grow even though they have many obstacles to deal with...let’s just say the devil has come out to play. Plus we have Emma’s very serious situation that only seems to be getting worse as each day passes, but she knows she’s there for a reason even though she doesn’t know the exact reason yet.

But I fear that you are not dealing with the negative emotions that might be hidden beneath your positive demeanor. Every human has a breaking point, Emma.” “Well, if that’s true, then I hope that you and the others who care about me will be there when I reach mine.

Dair still has a job to do, weaving dreams for the Creater, even though he hates leaving Serenity. Sometimes he’s gone for days! She’s been having horrible nightmares that are making her question certain things...someone has targeted her and let’s just say Dair is beyond mad.

“I just, I didn’t,” Serenity began, trying to hold in the tears that were building. “I didn’t know how badly I would miss you.” Dair lean down and pressed his lips firmly to hers.

Serenity has many things to think about in this one. She knows she loves Dair with everything she has, but will love be enough? Will Emma be able to escape her horrible living arrangements?

I loved this one more than book one which I loved as well! This one we’re getting a lot more into the story since we already know the characters! They all have a lot more to deal with in this one which definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! Can’t wait to see what’s to come next!!

Let me start out by saying that I love Quinn’s writing, so I was really excited to be able to read Dream so Dark. I re-read the first in this series to be reminded of the characters. That is one thing that I really like about all of her books, she doesn’t really repeat a ton of the background at the beginning, so I can read them back to back without getting bored. 
This book was much darker than her previous in the series, but it wasn’t so dark that it turned me off from the series. It was tough to read some of the parts of the story, but it was handled in a way that made me want to keep reading to find out what was going to happen with the characters. They have gone through some really difficult situations, but their perspective and the healing that took place after was uplifting.
I love Emma! She is such a great character. I am excited to see where she goes in her life, especially with the support of everyone that loves her.
The relationship between Serenity and Dair is getting more serious in this book, but I want to get to know them as a couple a little bit more. They have been involved in such intense situations, I want to see them just being together and growing as a couple.
The religious overtones and themes were much heavier throughout this book than the first one, but I think it was needed to help the characters heal and grow. I was a little turned off at first, but once I got through some of the intense parts, I was glad to have that perspective in the book for the characters.
All in all, I was happy with this book. I am excited to see where Emma, Serenity, Dair, and Rafael are headed in the future books!

Dream so Dark is the second in the Dream Maker Series and it continues the story of Serenity and the Sandman, Dair along with little Emma and her misfortunes. It is a story filled with the ever-present tale of good over evil, the battle between Lucifer and God with others caught in the middle. It picks up with Serenity recovering from her bullet wound and Dair sticking right by her side. It isn't long before Lucifer makes his desire to eliminate both Serenity and Emma clear. But they were chosen by the Creator for special purposes and must live to fulfill them. So Dair and the Angel Raphael have been sent to watch over them. Lucifer appears in the hospital as a Doctor and tries to make Serenity stay longer than necessary so as to try and drive a wedge between Serenity and Dair as together they are too powerful. He tempts Serenity to cheat on Dair but she does not. Dair sees him and bars him or any doctor or nurse entry to her room especially if he is not there. Soon she can leave the hospital but Lucifer continues to try and destroy her. At the same time, Emma is removed from the custody of her Aunt and placed in a worse situation by DCF with her Aunt's father who she is not even related to. Lucifer has put her in a hotbed of evil so Rafael never leaves her side. The story unfold from there and it is a well told continuation of their stories. The only thing I will say is that you know there is a Book 3 coming in the series as the ending is not really an end ...

I just spent the winter months re-reading all of Quinn Loftis' series and enjoyed the new Viking series. I loved them all. I re-read Dream of Me, as well. I had missed the release of Dream so Dark, so I just had to purchase it as well. I just finished it last night, and I waited a day to really think about how I felt about it. Honestly, the book rattled me.

While I understood that both Serenity and Emma were “special,” the evil and violence which focused on them was overly gratuitous. The fact that Lucifer, the fallen angel, attempts to personally seduce Serenity himself, seems highly unlikely. Emma’s attack by an acquaintance of Mildred’s and a later rape by a relative shook me to my core. Emma was eight!!! The actual acts of violence were not written in detail, but their purpose and action still upset me. The child trafficking ring discovered at the end of the book, adds to the violence and evil perpetrated by Lucifer. I understand how Emma’s own negative experiences helped her communicate and help support her school friend in the end. However, that is a small benefit compared to the abuse she suffered after the death of her parents. Throughout the book I felt as frustrated as Brudair and Raphael felt when they were limited as to what they were allowed to do or if they could intervene at all.

Usually books written by the author Quinn Loftis have a slight spiritual tone in the background. This series was more religious than spiritual and gave me more questions than answers.

I would like to say that I don’t cry a lot while reading, but that would be a big, fat lie. However, there are very few authors that can tell a story with such heart and emotion that it can bring me to tears simply by the beauty of it. Quinn Loftis is one of those authors! In my opinion, she perfectly captured the relationship between God (or Creator as He is known in the book) and His children while telling a great story at the same time.

This story was hard to read because of the realness of it. A lot of times, we want to put ourselves in a bubble and pretend bad things don’t happen, but Quinn brings to light issues that are so prevalent is our world today.

Dream So Dark has a lot more of Emma’s story and her wise words from her momma (which I love!!) so we get to know her a lot better and see her struggles and victories. There is one scene in particular that really stuck with me and (go figure) brought me to tears. Without giving anything away, there is a conversation between Creator and one of His children after a very difficult (that’s putting it so lightly) situation that is heart wrenching in its beauty. It’s a reminder that, no matter what, God. Is. Good.

I would definitely recommend this book and series! I can’t wait to see where Quinn will take this story from here!

This book jumps straight in where we left off, Serenity is in hospital fighting to live after her gunshot wound, our ow so hunky sandman is beside himself with worry and evil is afoot. Now doesn't that just make you want to jump right in and start reading it for yourself?!?

Quinn's books have a habit of ensnaring its readers until you have no option but to devour it, this book is no different. I laughed at some of the witty remarks made by Emma as she tries to make her guardian angel laugh and the tears streamed down my cheeks at some of the horrors she had to go through. It touches on some sensitive subjects in this story, abuse, rape and child trafficking but it is done discreetly and tastefully, highlighting not only the horrors but the hope of survival and the innocence that can still prevail.

I'm not a religious person and this book certainly has the indication of a creator and his fight against Lucifer which I thought I would struggle with but in truth it is just another layer to add to the intensity of the story. Heaven Vs Hell , good Vs evil, our own human moral compass all of this is dissected at some point and it's ingenious how the author has wrapped it all up together to build a story of hope, longing love and belief.

An amazing read, I highly recommend.

Once again Quinn has you rolled up and waiting for the outcome of an amazing series. Who better to name than your lucky Sandman? Quinn picks up Dream So Dark where Dream of Me leaves off. Budair is going to be in for the fight of a life time while Serenity and Emma face their own demons. Can they be enough to overcome what the devil himself has weaved or can the Creator prevail and show them all that he has a plan. Emotions are high, and no one can be trusted besides your friendly angels or can they according to Budair? Bring out your tissue and make sure the kids are in bed because once you pick this book up you will not be able to put it down. Relationships are tested, and heartbreak is in store but the faith this book entails will have your head spinning. As the story evolves not only will the lives change of those you have come to love but sneaky Quinn will bring others in to let you know that it is time to open your heart once again. This book is highly recommended to read and hold on ladies and gentlemen try not to binge read it and have a blast reading the amazing work of Quinn Loftis in Dream So Dark.

When I saw the chance to be an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review I was more than happy to be a part of it! Once again you are swept into another world. I will warn readers that the Dream of Me series is darker than some of her series such as the Grey Wolf series, the Elvin series or the Gypsy Healer series. Those series have some dark twists that grip your heart but this is darker than that and will not be for everyone. The romance and love between Serenity and Dair is beautiful and strong and heartbreaking at times. The story of Emma can be difficult to read though because of some of the afore mentioned dark parts. Child trafficking and multiple forms of child abuse are in this series which makes it darker but also more real. I think Quinn does a great job of showing faith being fire tested through adversity in this series. Ms.Loftis weaves a spell binding story once again! If you’re hooked on the series it’s worth continuing and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next though I am hoping for a little more lightness in the next book.

Let me just start this by saying I'm a massive Quinn fan, of all her books.. Including the first two in this series, that said this book was incredibly hard to read. It covers some painful dirty filthy topics that unfortunately in today's society need to be covered as they are relevant and very much too little spoken about, and Quinn does this beautifully and tragically tho without the full details that no body really needs, that said you still are not left untouched.

I felt angry, sad, pain, love, courage, loss and heartbreak.. And through it all the usual laughter Quinn is so thoughtful to add to all of her books. This isn't a typical Quinn book but it's still lovely in all its gritty heartbreak, the characters hold layers to their personality tho Emma would be my most favourite and really she is the star of this book.

If you love true to life or fantasy I think this book would suit you. Just be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster the book takes you on..thank you Quinn again for another wonderful book
