"Six years, two months and fifteen days ago, I fell in love with Ben. He was cool, I was not. He was worldly. I blushed at the drop of a hat. He was the stars and the moon. I was the complete opposite of whatever that is. Yet, somehow, we fit like two pieces of a puzzle."
We were kids. Everyone said it was wrong, that it wouldn't last, but Ben and I knew. Our love was hectic. Emotional. Blisteringly beautiful. It was simply too much for us to handle. It was a car crash waiting to happen. Ben promised he’d never leave me and he didn’t. Because I left him. I set him free to find the love he deserved.
One day he'll come back and we'll be in the same space at the same time, with no reason not to love again. Because the story of us is only beginning.
THE STORY OF US TRILOGY spans seven years between ages sixteen and twenty-four. It documents the love story of Bella and Ben and contains sex scenes and drug use.

Lindy began writing at University but never really wanted to be 'an author'. She wanted to be a Princess or at worst a Kindergarten teacher. Her first novel, Heart of Glass, was penned in 2007 and since then she become known for writing funny, forthright romantic fiction with a cast of crazy, comic characters. Lindy is also well-known for her short, romantic novellas which have repeatedly topped the short stories charts in the US and UK. She gains most of her inspiration from her dreams, listening to music and watching ridiculous amounts of reality TV.
In 2012, Lindy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and, never one to let a chance escape, she used the hospital visits to write Storm in a B Cup, which features the fictional character Sophie, whose medical experiences mirror the author's own journey. Sophie however, ends up with her hot plastic surgeon. Lindy is still very much married to her gorgeous husband of twenty-six years. Storm in a B Cup went on to reach #1 in Medical Fiction, #1 in Breast Cancer Fiction, #1 in Genre Fiction on Amazon US and #4 on iBooks AU.
This is a truly fantastic piece of writing. Although written about teens, there is something so relatable about the characters that it doesn't matter what age you are. This book will draw you down into the dark rabbit warren of teen angst, betrayal, friendship, love, self-love and self-loathing. It is absolutely bursting with feeling, and portrays teen love at its richest and most compelling.
This is not a stand alone. There is sex. And there is no happily ever after... yet. Three more reasons to love this story!
This is written about a couple of teenagers and their young love but there is something about the characters that no matter what age you are this story pulls you in. There is plenty of teen angst, betrayal, friendship, love, self-love and self-loathing and the emotion you feel you know you've felt it at some stage in your life so you relate to what is happening. You have to get the next in the series to find out more about life in there twenties......
I'm no good at writing coherent book reviews and I haven't read much this year but as soon as I started this book I couldn't put it down or stop reading cos I just had to find out what happened next, the book kept drawing me in and I felt all the emotions reading it and now I'm in love with Ben and need to read the next 2 books to find out what happens!
A good series starter. Here we meet the young versions of Ben & Bella. The writing is good but this first part of the trilogy is probably more enjoyed by youngr people. I had an ARC and my review is voluntary.
