By some miracle, Victoria ends up pregnant and Andrew couldn't be happier. However, Victoria feels more anxious than anything because she is afraid that something might happen during the pregnancy. Their fears get the best of them, causing a wedge between them. A few weeks before the due date, Andrew ends up collapsing and is taken to the hospital. While unconscious, he dreams of the future and the sex of the baby. During the pregnancy, a rift occurs between Andrew and his brother Leopold because Leopold's son will no longer be next in line to be king. Everything comes to a head on Christmas eve when Andrew and Leopold end up in a tussle and Victoria goes into labor. The book has a sweet ending but it has me wondering if the rest of Andrew's dream will come true.
Laughed and Cried... wonderful way to kick off my Holiday Reads
I do love a good "Hallmark" kinda read with a touch of Sexmy thrown in. I was so happy to catch up with some of my favorite Royals especially at the Christmas season. It was wonderful to read all the fun holiday traditions. This book was very entertaining both from a romance angle as well as I saw so much of my family dynamics in the book...not that I am royal or anything. I laughed in parts and cried in others. This was a very good read to start my holiday off right.
Victoria has always been told that she would never be able to get pregnant. Just before her marriage to Prince Andrew, heir to the throne of Montovia, she underwent an experimental surgery that could have corrected the problem, only to be told that the surgery failed. A little over a year after their marriage, Victoria and the Royal Physician are equally shocked to find that she is indeed pregnant. Follow Crown Prince Andrew and Princess Victoria as they negotiate their way through their very high risk pregnancy. A good Christmas read.
Spoiler alert. Andrew and Victoria have a baby. It's a miracle pregnancy that turns into a miraculous birth. There is drama, super angsty with twists of hope and miscommunication. A cute story that turns into a great read.
