Rate this book
This book isn't just a collection of poems, but showcases a kaleidoscope of emotions and experiences. These poems will help you feel more than what is written in them and read what is unwritten! 'Beyond (words) And Between (the lines)' is an effort to take you through a rigorous mental workout. This exercise won't leave you exhausted, though. Rather it will reinvigorate your grey matter. The poems - mostly without any pattern -mirror life's trials and tribulations, despair and hope, even as they reflect ironies abounding the planet we call Earth.

This book is an ocean of emotions. the emotions which we sense everyday, the problems we face everyday, the joys we experience everyday. Read it slowly, a word at a time. Try to absorb all the words, it will touch your inner core. Such beautiful are the words, joined together even more beautifully.

“Beyond Words and Between the Lines” is an art created by Noren (Pen name), and is a collection of short and crispy poems.

The soulful poems written by Noren is a must-read for everyone who’s a deep thinker.

All the poems are written and categorized under 6 major themes as-

Bitterness
Struggle
Frustration
Journey
Lessons
Realizations
I found the poems really beautiful and soul-piercing. And, this is the reason why I recommend this book. It’s definitely a 5/5 book for me.

The minimalist book cover is eye-catching, and the title of the book is so apt. In fact, I loved the title!

If I have to use 5 words to describe this poetry book, I’d say – soulful, sophisticated, simple, true, and beautiful.

My favourite one from this book, (also present on my Instagram profile)

Dump that junk of the past

Don’t let it pollute the present

Yesterday’s garbage

shouldn’t foul today’s treasure.

Poetry has a subtle way of announcing itself in our lives as we pore over the rhythmic words arranged in a sing-song pattern. It gets us rid of the chains held on our hearts, on our brains, on our intellect to accept the truth with open arms.

Beyond (words) and Between (the lines) is an ambrosial anthology of poems which strike a chord with our frozen minds with their aesthetic narrative and profound meanings. The book has been divided into six sections - Bitterness, Struggle, Frustration, Journey, Lessons, and Realization. Out of these, Journey was my favorite for a few evocative tiny tales and poems.

The poems are not bound in some cliche pattern. They are free in thought as well as in their composition. They stretch across a variety of subjects right from an adult's desire to be a child again to the gravity of a woman's menstruation. They bring us to the point of realizing how our actions are leaving an impact on the Earth and also compel us to ponder over our own existence. They create a picture of the bitter truth of marital rape and gently express the grief-stricken souls of different accidents. They paint the vitality of courage and determination, voice the voracious spirits resting inside of us, explain the garbage of rage turning into a compost of tolerance, and how being organized is a myth. They traverse through our mechanistic bodies trying their bit to reach our impregnable souls, make them vulnerable and porous enough to don the cap of important realizations. They hint at the eternal crazy pursuit of joy found in materialism which leaves little room for small pleasures.

Accompanied by the simple illustrations, the poems written in a comprehensible writing style engages us and provides for fresh insight into the truths long forgotten in the conundrum of life. I would totally recommend it to people who wish to soak in the charm of some light but deep poems.

I would like to opine that the verses in the book, are foraying into and reflecting deeper into the minute textures /realms of thoughts and emotions! The language used is engaging, tone is simple and themes are also captivating.
The tenderness of emotions unfolds in many verses, a gender lens, thought over environment, changing urban landscape, and other thoughts reflect the vastness of themes! The depth of the poet can be gauged from the fact that he has touched the topic of Periods with dexterity! The period of Piety reflects how women are subjet to marginalisation due to a bilogical factor. The emotions in the poem contrast run deep, very strongly reflecting the richness of love. In the book some poems could have reframing of titles, broadly it is a good read! Kudos to the author, Happy writing and waiting for many more to come from him!

I did not like the cover that much though. It is very simple. I also found some editing errors otherwise the thoughts are nice and very well narrated.

Beyond words and between the lines came into my life when I was seeking inspiration. From the moment you start reading, the book won't let you rest your thoughts as it touches upon myriad themes from new beginnings to Syrian war to life and redemption.

For our benefit, the author Noren has divided the book into six sections (bitterness, journey, frustration, realisations, lessons and struggles), allowing us to start reading it from any page, depending on your mood. It is an easy read and can be finished at one go but we recommend you take your time and relish each line.

The illustrations are tastefully done and you tend to miss the pages, when empty. It is a book you can keep in your bookshelf and revisit whenever you need a break from your cluttered life! Totally recommended.

'Beyond Words and Between the Lines' is every emotion packed in a book. Noren takes on a number of intricacies life presents, and alot of thoughts about the sad happenings around the world. His poetry is deeply touching and equally contemporary. It presents you with a gamut of emotions, expressed between these lines.

Some pages will make you nostalgic, while others make you feel the stark inequalities of the world, helplessness, harsh realities and the loss. On the other hand it brings hope, love and tolerance. And the impressively simple meanigful illustrations by Tuhina are incredible.

I would say a must read if you are depressed, it will help you accept life and forgive.

Poetry they say is often the toughest thing to write but Beyond Words and Between The Lines presents such a fascinating compilation of some of the most honest expressions of a human mind and heart that it comes across as an effortless collection of meanderings of a thinking mind and that tells volumes of author Noren's mastery. Hunger, Knotty Life, Unspoken may be pearls of wisdom in four lines for many but somewhere you know these are all manifestations of what all of us go through at least once in our life but rarely stop by to reflect. Refreshing and deeply thought provoking!

Noren breathes philosophy. He picks a philosophical thread from every happening and leads you to train of thoughts - some melancholic, some of ecstatic and some of profound wisdom. Such thoughts pass our minds every waking moment. Not many of us care to pen them down or share .His mind works like a one-touch button to turn on a flood of thoughts on every aspect of life. These thoughts comfort us, excite us and most certainly educate us as Noren gives the feeling of being one of us. A good and healthy read for sure.

Brevity is the Soul of Wit....this is what i want to say about the wonderfully written poems. Each poem is so delicately carved and at the same time thought provocating. The poems touch almost every situation and emotion which a person faces at modern times...noren has given words to those feelings which we feel but just brush away in these busy times. The illustrations are equally soulful.RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE IT SHORT N CRISP.
