**Don’t Promise is a hot snow-melting holiday romance that promises to turn up the holiday spirit a few degrees. Guaranteed HEA and NO cheating. This book can be read as a Standalone, recommended with a little sugar & spice, cup of cocoa and a fan**
USA Today Bestselling author, Violet Paige, lives in North Carolina and would rather be by the water than anywhere else, maybe it’s because she’s from OBX, yes that OBX. Writing full-time, mom’ing full time and taking any stray dog that walks by the porch keep her inspired, busy and mostly exhausted, let’s be honest. She writes hot, edgy and angsty romances with strong heroines and fierce loves.
Received an ARC for my fair review for author.. This was the last book in the Don't series..Cole was starting his life over with Kaitlyn. His best friend Cole had finally accepted them, so they did not have to sneak around anymore, however she is pregnant and scared to tell her parents, but decides to do it in Christmas..Cole had never really celebrated, unless with her family and he wanted this special for his son, but also worried about how her pregancy was going to be received on top of that he receives a call to return to his service as a marine for an op..He doesn't want to leave Kaitlyn, but he is a marine thru and thru...All hell breaks lose, and you have to read the outcome...
Oh Violet Paige has a wonderful imagination and created Cole for us. he's an ex marine, a single dad with the cutest little boy imaginable called Grayson. Kaitlyn is Cole's best friend's little sister. She loved Cole years ago as a teenager and he never really noticed the awkward teenage gril then. But his marriage ended and he was left with Grayson and when he saw Kaitlyn again, he knew that he had to have her. But it became so much more than that. They moved in together and he asked her to marry him. Kaitlyn's family don't know that they are engaged and they are both concerned that they will not approve of them being together. Cole had a dreadful upbringing and didn't celebrate Christmas very much but he's making the effort for his son. Kaitlyn LOVES Christmas as do her family and they have been invited to her home for Christmas, little realising what was about to transpire! Kaitlyn and Cole are so good together. You can practically imagine the sizzling sparks of energy coming off them whilst reading my kindle Steam Heat. I love Violet's style of writing as the words just flow across the page drawing you into the world of Cole and Kaitlyn. So good that I bought the book so that I could re-read it again and again :) DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
This is a wonderful holiday love story about Kaitlyn and Cole. Cole is best friends with Ryan from the military and Cole has been a part of the family over the years. Cole and Kaitlyn have found themselves in love with one another and Cole has moved on from the military. Ryan had a hard time with it but time and understanding brings him around. Kaitlyn moved to Texas with Cole and his 2 year old son, Grayson. While living together they seem to be making their lives come together with their love, getting engaged and pregnant! The chemistry between these two is off the charts and you can feel their love. While home at Kaitlyn’s parents for the holidays they reveal their secrets and her dad is not happy with it all! Can her dad ruin their holidays or will he help bring the family together? Cole has been asked to help out with a special mission overseas and knows he has to do it to help protect those in need. Cole is gone the day after Christmas and promises to be back for their wedding on New Years Eve! Will Cole be able to get back in time for his wedding, alive? Can Kaitlyn get through a week without Cole? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. not bad of a read. we meet kaitlyn and Cole in sunny texas preparing to go to her parents for Xmas. they are secretly engaged and kaitlyn is preggers plus they have Cole's 3 ur old.son Grayson. kairlyn ends up going by herself when Grayson falls ill. while the kid is on the mend cole get a call from the Pentagon regarding an emergency that only her can help with. Cole is retired but feels its necessary to do...now to tell his future wife. kaitlyn is ecstatic when they finally arrive and is trying her best to hide under baggy clothes. she has it all.planned out who they will tell her parents and brother but she forgot her pic. kaitlyn decides to book a 3d pic so she can give it but discovers smtg that they never planned. Cole is unhinged at the idea of going overseas and hasn't told kaitlyn yet. Xmas eve results in unhappiness, tears, excitement and an ultimatum. Will kaitlyn get he fairytale Xmas? will Cole make it out?
I am so relieved that I have managed to get to the end of this book, not for lack of wanting to but the reading app I got it on was so awkward, blocking access to chapters then releasing them, slowly, and only after they received a lot of complaints no doubt !
Trying not to let my reading experience detract from the book itself, I thought the storyline with its "will they, wont they" tussle was good. I do know its part of a series that has a lot of sex in it, but I do think that maybe there could have been more focus on the key points in this story ie Coles trip away, and the wedding. There was a big build up to whether he would make it back in time, then as soon as you knew he did, it skipped over that very quickly and they were away on the honeymoon.
Good escapism with likeable characters.

A sequel to Don't tell and as good as the first and second! If you haven't read the first one you still can read this one it explains its self, but it will be even better if you read both.
Cole is her brother best friend and her fiancé and baby daddy. Her conservative family does not know this yet. She plans to let them now on Christmas Eve with a picture of her sonogram. Hopefully they will be too happy to care.
Kaitlyn is the little girl of the family that accepted him as their own since her brother took him home. Now she is pregnant and unwed, and her dad wants them married before New Years or else. But what no one knows is he have a last mission and he do not know if he is going to be home for the wedding.

Well written with likeable characters and a great storyline. It is a relatable story and it flows well of the pages. It is captivating. The story is written in dual POV and gives the reader the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Cole and Kaitlyn has known each other for many years because Cole is Kaitlyns brothers best friend. They are a very suitable couple. Their families are not that much into that they are a couple. No spoilers read the story. There is drama, passion, emotional ups and downs. The twists are surprising. An enjoyable read.

Good book but it annoyed me that I was pretty confused about some of it. Said it could be read as a standalone but has two books prior with the same characters which would probably explain why I felt like I was missing something. The book kind of jumping right into the middle of what felt like another story without explanation. Definitely would have liked to read the previous books first. I was also annoyed with her father. I get he was old fashion but he completely ruined what she wanted and everyone seemed fine with his ultimatum. I did enjoy the story as a whole and the characters as well. I do look forward to going back and reading the previous books.
📚I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader's copy of this book📚 Sometimes a sweet, heartwarming story, with some smoking chemistry is perfect!! The is a great sequel to Don't Tell, but if by some crazy chance you haven't read it, you could read as a stand alone. Cole and Kaitlyn are well written, compelling characters, breaking the pregnancy news to her family. The book moves quickly and smoothly. Great holiday read!!
Cole is Ryan’s best friend. Cole is also Kaitlyn’s fiancee even if her family doesn't know it yet. This was a great read, Kaitlyn is so happy to finally be with Cole she has had a crush on him since she was fourteen years old. She not only has a surprise for her parents but come to find out one for Cole as well. Cole will do anything to make Kaitlyn happy and do anything to make it back from his unexpected mission on time for their wedding.
When I left my review for Don't Tell, I said I wished it had an epilogue to end or wrap up the story. Well, I guess here's my extended epilogue. I had already fallen in love with the characters this just finished rounding them out. Great Christmas story! It makes you stop and think of all the service men and women that have to cut a vacation or holiday short because of an urgent mission. God bless you all! I do wonder if Ryan will get his story, hhmm? I received an arc, this is my honest review.
Cole and Kaitlyn were a wonderful couple. Sometimes, when you're very young but fall in love with someone, it's totally worth the wait when they love you back. They have a solid loving relationship. Finding out they were having twins didn't freak them out, they knew there would be just more love to go around! He wouldn't have broken his promise to be home in time for their wedding. 💗💗💗
Honestly, this was awful. The first two books were good, but I decided not to finish this book after the ridiculous beginning. A little research into the military goes a very long way. As a Marine, myself, it was completely unbelievable. I know it's just a book, but when you know a thing or two about military service, it bothers you to know that the author didn't do any research before writing the book.
Cole and Kaitlyn are in a difficult situation because Cole was her brother's best friend growing up and now they are together. Her parents do not like they are living together either. The story is cute, but I was appalled at the reasoning for the New Year's wedding. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Don't Promise by Violet Paige is a very good read. This holiday themed military romance is charming and sweet. Great storyline is well written. Characters are likable and compelling. This is a emotional, heartwarming holiday read that I enjoyed and highly recommend. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Didn't love this book. I thought Kaitlyn was kind of whiny and not relatable at all as a 21st century girl (because she was a girl!!) She let her father bully her even though she didn't agree with his values and was annoyed how she didn't stand up to her parents when they kept saying that their relationship wasn't "real."
A very well done follow up to Don't Tell. It can be read as a stand alone but personally I'm glad I read Don't Tell first. I love these two together and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them interact with her family. ***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
A Beautiful romantic story with relatable and realistic characters, family drama, and storyline. This is a quick and easy read and I read it in one sitting. Truly enjoyed this book. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
I just loved Cole and Kaitlyn's story!!! She had been in love with him sense she was 14 and he was her brother best friend!! The story just makes you happy!! I would recommend this book to anyone!!
Don’t Promise was a great, fast-paced, sweet romance. Enjoyed Kaitlyn and Cole’s relationship. They had amazing chemistry. Received an ARC and I’m leaving a voluntary review.
This was a little better than the first two....just glad this series is over. There were other stories included with these books but not sure if I'll get to them.
This was like the perfect extended epilogue. I loved how Ryan stepped up and supported his sister and Cole despite her dad’s crazy demand and I loved how families came together in the end.
